154. Eliminating A Devil Fruit Weakness

After Luffy finished his meal, Luffy told everyone what happened to him before he transferred to the shinobi world. And it seemed, the chaos in Alabasta made Luffy ignore the chat group.

Before Luffy came, the last thing he remembered was right after Luffy defeated and knocked out Crocodile, his vision went dark. And when he awoke, he was already in the shinobi world.

"So that's why your body is battered, and even poisoned. Anyway, there might still be some unfiltered poison left in your body after I cleaned it out. But, since you look healthy, perhaps the residual poison won't have any effect on you."

Izumi didn't know whether this was good or not. Still, Izumi remembered that Luffy became immune to poison after his fight against Magellan who was the user of the poison Devil Fruit.

"Oh, you got rid of the poison in my body? Thanks." Luffy felt grateful to Izumi since he knew the poison was lethal and could kill him.

Luffy looked around, the surroundings looked new to him. He asked Izumi.

"By the way, where are we?"

"We are in the shinobi world. There are a lot of ninjas in this world." Izumi replied.

Luffy's eyes immediately shone upon hearing what Izumi said.

"Ninja? That ninja, right? Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, or something?" Luffy tried to imitate the hand seal movement just like Izumi had shown in the past.

"Yup." Izumi nodded affirmatively.

Luffy looked down. His clothes looked tattered from fighting with Crocodile. But then, he remembered his friends.

"I don't know what's going on with Zoro and the others right now."

It seemed that Luffy had forgotten, or maybe didn't really understand. So, Izumi explained briefly.

"If the mission is going on, time in your world will stop! Haven't you been on a mission before? You didn't realize it when you came back to your world?"

"Ah. I forgot. Hihihi." Luffy scratched his head while chuckling. Then, he remembered something. "Oh right. Izumi, I also want to use Ninjutsu. Can you teach me?"

Izumi twitched. Izumi didn't know what happened to Luffy's head. He seemed to be possessed as he said to try to learn Ninjutsu.

Not just Izumi who was surprised, even Kuroneko and Kazuma showed strange faces.

"Was it because of the poison effect?" Kuroneko asked in wonder.

And Kazuma, who had woken up, commented.

"Perhaps, there's something wrong with his head."

"What do you mean by that? Ninjutsu is so cool! Nin–nin, Nin–nin!" Then Luffy performed a hand seal, imitating a ninja.

Izumi chuckled. He had expected that Luffy would say that.

"I'll try my best to teach you. But, I'll stop it if you have no talent!"

"Hurrah!" Luffy raised both his hands happily.

Any Ninjutsu could help him depending on a certain situation. But, knowing Luffy's character, he might just ignore using Ninjutsu in battle. Whether Luffy could do it or not, there was nothing to lose anyway.

Meanwhile, Kuroneko didn't expect Izumi to agree.

"A-Are you seriously planning on teaching him Ninjutsu?" Kuroneko asked. Whether she was conscious or not, it seemed Izumi was someone she could rely on. The proof was, even though Kuroneko was reluctant to talk to Izumi because of her guilt, Izumi could be seen as the one leading her as well as the other members of the chat group.

Izumi felt glad that Kuroneko was willing to talk in front of him.

"Eh, you finally want to talk to me again. Well, whatever. You shouldn't act like that, Kuroneko! I feel bad about you even if you felt guilty toward me."

"But, don't you blame me?"

"I blame you indeed. But, part of it was my fault as well. I got so carried away that I couldn't control myself."

If at that time Izumi didn't reveal his identity, maybe he was just quarreling with Kyouko because of the problem of the photo being sent to Kyouko's number. If that happened, Izumi would only need to drag Kuroneko and Tabane in front of Kyouko to clarify. But because Izumi thought that Kyouko could accept him as he is, he got carried away.

Kazuma grabbed Izumi's shoulder while pointing at Luffy.

"Beam no Jutsu!"

Kuroneko trembled, then approached Luffy with her clenched fists. Luffy noticed that someone was walking towards him, he turned his head and saw Kuroneko approaching.

"What is it Neko?" Luffy asked while tilting his head.

Luffy was hit by Kuroneko and banged to the ground.

"Auch... Why did you hit me, Neko?" Luffy complained while rubbing his face.

Kuroneko pointed at Luffy.

"You asked me"why"? What the hell were those Swimming no Jutsu and Beam no Jutsu anyway? There are no such Jutsu!"

"Isn't it alright? If I can use Ninjutsu later, I'll create it myself!" Luffy said with an unconvincing expression.

"Humph. Do whatever you want."

Not long after, Izumi decided to leave. And he also brought Momo and Yuki Onna with him.

Kazuma was a little curious as to why Izumi brought two beauties.

"Why did you bring these two? Don't tell me, they are your harem?"

*Smack*

Izumi kicked Kazuma. Then, he said.

"Do you think I brought someone just for that silly reason? I brought Momo as insurance in case something unpredictable happens."

"Like what?"

"Dead!"

Hearing the word death, Kazuma and Kuroneko felt a chill. But they don't know what death has to do with Momo.

Seeing their deep thought, Izumi explained.

"Momo can revive the dead. The person who died due to disease or age is the exception."

"Do you want to revive the Hokage again after being killed by Orochimaru?"

"I'm not planning to do that. Even if the Hokage dies as a result of using the forbidden Jutsu, it's useless to revive him because his soul will be sealed after using the forbidden Jutsu."

"Then?"

"I just said insurance. It could be Kazuma who died first because his Luck stat was infected by Aqua's."

Hearing Izumi's words, veins appeared on Kazuma's head. He yelled.

"What the fuck! Aren't you just trying to curse me?"

"Perhaps." Izumi didn't deny it.

Kuroneko also thought just like him. Kazuma's luck seemed to be drowned out by Aqua's misfortune. However, there was no Aqua in the shinobi world. Kuroneko wondered if Momo was still needed since Kazuma was unlikely to die.

"Then, how about the other one?"

"She will participate in the Chūnin exam." Izumi replied.

"What?"

They were surprised. They thought they would participate in the Chūnin exam with the chat group members only. They would never think that a Shikigami would be brought to participate.

After a few hours they got on the Yacht with Izumi driving it, Izumi remembered something. He adjusted the auto rudder, then looked for Luffy.

"Luffy, do you remember the potion that was in the Dimensional Shop?"

"Potion?"

"The one that can remove your weakness so you can swim in the water."

"Oh right, I forgot."

Then Luffy took out his phone, opened the chat group, then browsed out something. However, Luffy scratched his head and asked Izumi.

"Where can I find the potion again?"

"Lend me it a moment!"

Luffy forgot about that. So, Izumi borrowed Luffy's phone to buy the potion.

Luffy had over 100.000 shop coins. And it seemed that apart from bringing a griffon into his world, he had never used his coins at all.

Izumi found the weakness-eliminating potion and tapped it to purchase using 100.000 shop coins. Then, a vial containing the potion appeared in front of him which then he gave to Luffy.

Luffy immediately drank it. Luffy didn't feel any changes which made Izumi try to test him. Izumi flew using his Devil Fruit power while carrying Luffy. Luffy tried to hold Izumi tightly for fear of falling into the water.

"Hey, wait wait! Izumi, I can't swim!"

"I just wanted to test you, not drown you. Just listen to me!"

Luffy finally stop struggling, and Izumi explained.

"When I let you go, try to expand your body like a balloon!"

Luffy thought for a moment, then nodded.

Since Luffy understood what he meant, he let go of Luffy, and...

"Gomu gomu no Fuusen."

Luffy's body expanded like a balloon which then fell into the water.

*splash*

It could be seen that Luffy's body floated on the water's surface without losing his Devil Fruit power. Izumi could confirm that the potion was truly effective to eliminate the weakness of a Devil Fruit user.

"Wohooo, I can float in the water."

However, after saying that, Luffy's body shrunk and then he sank into the water.

"Help! I ca... blub...blub..."

He should have known when he used that technique, he held the air in his body. But he forgot and shouted in joy instead. In the first place, he didn't know how to swim.

"Hahahaha, he is so stupid!"

"Hahahaha."

Kuroneko and Kazuma laughed out loud thanks to Luffy's stupid behavior.

Izumi could only slap his own head after seeing him. However, Luffy's actions would never make anyone bored of him.

And three days later, they finally arrived at Konohagakure village.
