"We should be there soon." William said, immediately the Expedition Team looked forwards and there they saw it, they had arrived back in Tigria. "Finally, I was getting a bit tired of risking my life." Bertram chuckled as he continued steering the ship.
"I agree, that was stressful." Ugo sighed wiping the sweat off his brow. "I wonder how his Majesty is doing?" Curt said grabbing everyone's attention. "Well he'll be doing a whole lot better once we get him his 500 Million!" Bertram shouted slapping his thigh.
Hearing this the team couldn't help but feel a little proud of themselves. 500 Million, that was a big sum even for the Kingdom but they had managed to obtain it through relentless bounty hunting. Most of it was comprised of smaller 10-20 Million Bounties along with the occasional 40 Million Bounty maybe 50 Million plus if they were feeling adventurous.
There was a problem though, which was that after a while they had garnered a reputation of sorts sure they had killed most of the enemy pirates but be it from surrounding civilians or escapees they were bound to get a rep somehow. Not only that but after a while there were simply not that many pirates to kill.
'To be fair there'll be more in a few months time but its simply not worth it to continue at the current pace.' William mused as their ship reached the docks. "Oh you're back?" A soldier defending the docks said as he noticed the group of 5.
Hearing this William simply nodded the soldier then grabbed a den den mushi and dialed a number. "Yes?" Arch said as he picked up the snail phone. "The Team has arrived." The soldier replied on the other end.
"Perfect, thank you for your service hand them the den den mushi." Arch's voice sounded. Immediately the soldier moved to hand the den den mushi to William. "Your Majesty?" William questioned as he held the snail close to him.
"Make it back to the castle as soon as possible, also I need to speak to Ugo and Cort specifically." Arch immediately responded, seemingly annoyed. "Got it." William said before Arch hung up. 'While they got to sail around hunting pirates I've had all this paperwork to do. Haaa, at least the schools have been working out nicely, not to mention my devil fruit has been progressing quite nicely.' Arch sighed before continuing to sign documents, he had unknowingly become a Naruto.
About half an hour later there a knock at his door. "Come in." With that 5 men entered the room, they were naturally the Expedition Team. "So how much have you made?" Arch asked looking up from the pile of papers in front of him.
"500 Million."
"5 Million I expected mo-500 MILLION!?" Arch said in shock as he stood up from his seat. "We must be pretty good to get that reaction." Bertram laughed patting his belly. "Bertram!" Curt shushed him as he kicked that man's knee. 'For fucks sake Curt.' Bertram groaned as he winced from the pain.
"I see you're all still the same as ever." Arch sighed as a look of sadness flashed on his face. "Never get a desk job this paperwork is painful." He continued, but his mood soon lightened after all it was 500 Million Beris, that was the same as Luffy's bounty post Dressrosa.
After that Arch and the Team caught up a bit, they briefly informed him about some of their adventures while Arch told them about the recent developments in Tigria. The Team was then dismissed apart from Ugo and Cort who Arch asked to stay behind.
Arch then took the money to the treasury and safely placed it before moving to the secret room. "They should be suitable to learn this, they're both quite intelligent and I trust them." Arch said to himself before grabbing the first 2 journals of Vinci D. Leonardo.
A few minutes later Arch returned to the room to see Cort and Ugo waiting for him. Seeing them Arch smiled before shutting the door and closing the curtains of the room. "Excuse me but why did you close the curtains." Ugo asked his eyes darting around the room.
"Don't worry, I am doing this because what I am about to tell you two could be considered a national secret of sorts. Naturally if you want to back out you can, but I am not asking much just for you to keep what I show you a secret." Arch declared his eyes serious as he locked eyes with the two.
"I am fine with anything as long as it doesn't cross my bottom line." Cort simply replied, Ugo on the other hand was in thought for a minute. "If all I have to do is keep a secret then I'll also join in." Ugo said after a bit of deliberation.
"Great, in reality its nothing bad in fact its quite beneficial and I hope to one day release it to the people but now isn't the right time." Arch stated before grabbing the 2 books, handing one to Ugo and one to Cort.
"These are important Journals containing highly advanced knowledge pertaining to the fields of engineering and medicine, I hope you understand what I mean now?" Arch explained as Cort and Ugo read the titles.
"Vinci D. Leonardo, what an odd name." Ugo muttered before opening the journal. Cort soon did the same, as he looked on in interest. Breaking them out of their reading Arch's voice sounded through the room "To be clear you're only allowed to read these here and when you're done you're to hand them back to me, as although I trust you two I don't trust your ability to safeguard the books themselves as much."
Naturally they both nodded, after all to them this seemed like a complete win for them. Even after reading the first few pages they realised this would be very beneficial to them. "Thank you your Majesty." Cort said before bowing.
"Yes thank you." Ugo bowed before continuing to read the book. "By the way I prepared 2 chairs and a desk for you to read at if you want to sit down." Arch chuckled pointing to the seats. 'Honestly seeing them so engrossed in reading is quite entertaining.' Arch chuckled before looking back at his desk, he had a lot of paperwork to do.
