‘Yearning a voyage’

Since, all the students were required to be present in the event in their school uniforms except the participants, Yan Shu obviously didn't have any specific costume prepared for her performance leading to her appearance on stage in her school uniform.

All the lights were turned off except the main one focusing on Yan Shu from on stage.

Sitting in front of the piano, the young lady's pose emitted nobility. Her slender fingers gave a quick run through over the keys sending out a sudden mixed melancholic music in the hall before stopping on the specific keys.

Then a soft brassy sound took over the hall. Everyone stared at the lady playing the piano whose slender fingers were darting around the piano keys just like how a happy fish jumps on the pond playfully yet elegantly.

Everyone felt like entering into a fairytale following along the soft melodious music.

Slowly after, Yan Shu started singing and the audiences felt like they finally found direction in the fairy tale where they were wandering off.

"Shining bright under the golden light,

You gave me hope that I never bought,

Crescent moon laughed inside the envelope,

I finally found what I was looking for,

There I go,

 Following your lead,

 Missed those words,

 You got me stick.

We set a voyage,

 On a picture-perfact day,

But you left me setting alone.

I waited for the seventh year,

You never returned and I yearned."

Just as the wandering people thought they finally got direction; they were pushed into a story inside the tale. As they watched the story unfold, their eyes welled up in tears while some sobbed. They imagined the story of the broken person who was finally given a beam of hope by someone and started to live but where the former thought they were about to take the next step she found him disappear into the thin fog. Yet she didn't give up and kept waiting and waiting with only a little bit of hope left in her of getting found by the latter and set for a voyage together.

The soft, melodious tone slowly turned to a dark, shallow music after the first verse of the song. The up and down beat of the dark sound resulted in making the hearts of the people present beat faster.

"I had a dream,

 Of you and me,

we were cuddling in the sea,

 holding tightly....

and then the hope you gave,

 Left me in a daze,

 & the world you pave,

 for me to live..

That's how I am keeping up

With the yearn for the voyage you set up."

The dark music stopped, and a clear, pleasant, bright sound took over, Yan Shu's fingers dancing over the keys constantly.

They were then carried away and landed in another world, a happy world without worries and with only a hope. They achieved their dreams, lived happily but at the end just yearned to come back to the world they were from, and they waited and waited just to go back. The previous world might not give them a happy life and might be full of worries, but their loved ones would always be there to brighten their day up.

Don't we sometime feel like leaving everything alone? Wanting to go on a place without these noises, without the obstacles, without any reality? But would we really be able to live alone for that long? Would it really be worth it to leave everything just to get a few moments of peace?

Yan Shu repeated the chorus part after the clean music break. Then she played a diminishing mezzo forte followed with decressendo end as a melancholic monophonic voice penetrated in the hall before coming to a stop.

The song ended but everyone was still emerged into it. They didn't realize that the performance ended until the stage lights went off and the hall was again brighten up.

Don't know from where the first clap came from but that pulled out everyone from their thoughts and causing everyone to stand up and applaud and the clapping sound reverberated in the hall for quite a long moment.

In the livestream comment section

"Woah! That was savage."

"Just realized that I haven't been in a concerto for a long time."

"How many years did she practiced for to become such a smooth pianist?"

"Shit! which grade of pianist is she in?"

"My mom finally decided to abandon me."

The lovestream filled with gifts from the lowest cost to the highest. Unexpected to everyone, almost ten spacecrafts worth 10,000 yuan each were launched in the screen.

[Abandoned_lover just gifted a spacecraft]

[Devoted_brother just gifted a spacecraft]

[Aristocrat_Su just gifted a spacecraft]

[Loyal_apprentice just gifted a spacecraft]

And it just kept going on.

Gu Mingyu was shocked. He rubbed his chin and thought if he should do a livestream next time through the school's account. Who knows he might get more spacecrafts than Mo Ran.

Feeling jealous Gu Mingyu decided to turn off the livestream.

"The performance was just mind blowing right? Don't forget to comment hit under the 'hit or flop' post if you liked the performance. Thats all for tonight. See you all again someday in future. Bye bye." He turned off the live and threw the tab to one of security team members before rushing off to the stage with a poker face. He was still under the illusion that he was the reason Mo Ran got so many viewers.

[Author : He is helpless. Just ignore. ^_^]

"No need to thank me for making your day." Yan Shu was now standing in the middle of the stage and sinisterly smiled at the people sitting down below.

Everyone : 'Aren't you a hypocrite? But why do you sound so righteous?'

"Then I suppose I have won and all the money from the school's pay account and the money the school earned from the livestream would be transferred to my account." With that she outstretched her hand towards one of the organizer team members standing below the stage asking her to hand over the tab she was holding.

The member immediately handed over the tab without thinking anything.

Yan Shu typed something in the tab and when a 'done' sign popped up on the screen she handed it back to the member.

The member then handed the tab over to Principal Liu who tapped into the account to check the amount left just after getting it.

But the next second, his jaw dropped and he felt like his world turned upside down when he saw the big "00" written on it.

The account was actually a domation account of school. Whoever wanted to donate just needed to scan the code from the notice board and donate as much as they wanted.

Before the bets were placed, the account held two million yuan. But now they were not there. He looked at Yan Shu with a dumb expression only to get an adorable smile from the latter.

He finally understood what she meant when she said all the money on the school's account will be hers. He couldn't even asked for the money back from her now infront of Old Master Su, one of the trustees. After all, no one wants to dumb a sea only for a pond. He just helplessly sat there quietly.

On the middle row

"Wow, I won the bet. But how come I didn't get twicer the money I placed? Anyways, I will just ask Mo Ran later." Sheng Chen thought she will get twicer the money if she wins. Well, doesn't that happens in every bets?

[Ren Zhenting and Huang Shi : She still doesn't get it.]

When Yan Shu talked about bets, everyone gave their money in a whimp without processing her words properly. Inwardly, they all thought she would fail and they would get their money back rather than noting the point that all the money will be hers if she wins even the ones they placed in her favor.
