"So... you're trying to say I felt so comfortable and enamored that I cried?" Ja Sun questioned, however, he didn't look in Qian Daoliu's direction who had returned to the center of the forest after the marriage. He was still understanding the benefits brought by...

"The divine, as in, when the mental emergy truly touches the quality of divine, has a period of adaptability where its senses are easily attracted to other forces of similar level and quality. Don't worry, you will soon recover your control. Now, do not contact me... it's a waste of mental energy to explain the simplest thing."

Qian Daoliu immediately pushed away Ja Sun's creeping mental energy and closed his eyes.

"Ah, Senior Ka-ul, will you like to have a drink—"

A cute, wavy-haired brunette in a beautiful green dress walked over to Ja Sun who was still in the attire from the marriage. The banquet after the marriage had already begun but only Oscar, Xie Xan, and Ja Sun could be seen around from their group as a large number of spirit masters filled the hall. Aside from their own subordinates, many from the surrounding clans of the sects and the seniors of the Spirit Hall had brought in their families for the event.

At this moment, the girls had returned to change their clothes. Why? Because they had too many outfits and according to Hu Lana, traditional marriage clothes aren't the same as banquet dresses.

Ja Sun silently regarded the woman in front of him before he blinked and inquired, "Sure. But before that, you have to do something for me."

He smiled as Oscar and Xie Xan glanced at each other.

"You're Bishop Zin's granddaughter, right?" Ja Sun inquired as a pleased smile instantly touched the woman's face.

"Senior Ka-ul, I didn't think you would know of me--"

"Don't interrupt," Ja Sun interjected sternly and this only caused the duo beside him to roll their eyes while the woman flinched

"I want you to return to your grandfather and say that Bishop Peng is far better in the job than he is."

"What?" The woman gaped. The two Bishops were competitors and resided in two spirit temples situated within the Heaven Dou City and the Star Luo City.

Their rivalry, in fact, was a bitter one.

"I can't do that!" She scowled.

"Oh, then I can't have a drink with you," Ja Sun shrugged as he returned to look at Xie Xan and Oscar with a sigh, "I thought you had some event planned... sorry, I failed in adding any excitement to the party."

The woman only felt her brain buzz as Ja Sun didn't keep his voice low either. Stomping, a bit angry, she left with a huff while Xie Xan grumbled, "You think I care about your entertainment?"

"Shouldn't you? A proper host puts their guest's needs above their own."

"Would you?" Oscar inquired curiously.

"I'm not a proper host, am I?" Ja Sun snickered.

The trio was constantly approached. While previously Oscar was looked down on due to his low cultivation, it had entirely changed after the consumption of the Immortal Herb as it only increased his already broken cultivation speed given that his martial soul was only stinky tofu.

However, without the motivation (threat of anger) of their superior which happened to be the lovely Bibi Dong who seemed to be surprisingly off of her game, the trio reverted to their more simple self that kept to themselves and a few promising subordinates that they had found over the period, causing the banquet to fall into a state of awkward division where the elders of the Spirit Hall who had been waiting to either form a better relationship or mend previous offenses against Bibi Dong— the most promising successor, now, were left to chat with themselves instead.

"Hey, do you think you have another pupil's technique that can allow me to see through... only non-organic substances?" Oscar began the conversation. Ja Sun had a great pupil technique and they knew it. The Asura Sight Technique was in a class of its own and added with Blind World, Xie Xan, too, was impervious to illusions and could break down his vision into gazing at the form of pure energy flowing through the body itself and also revealing the weak points of any structure, credits to the Asura Sight.

However, Oscar's cheeks were flushed as he drank quite a bit and his intentions were clear with his demand.

"I... shall try and look for it," Ja Sun nodded with a solemn expression, and the remaining duo tapped each other's glasses.

"To peeking." Ja Sun whispered.

"And eternal glory!" Xie Xan and Oscar replied.

"Wait, I thought you could only get it up for Lana," Ja Sun sipped and inquired, making Xie Xan shrug, "Who says I can't peek on my wife? It's hot for me. Ka-ul? Oi, are you listening to me?"

Ja Sun...

Wasn't.

He instantly realized the applications of his greater form of mental energy. It had reached the limit of what this world's cultivation would allow and he understood it by now. Qian Daoliu was stuck in the same state but in his case, the same was true for his body and spirit energy, too. (Body as in the strength a human can reach which may rival a weaker spirit beast at the level of 100000 years, not 1 million or those close to it.)

With a thought, his mental energy expanded and wasn't noticed by anyone. How could mental energy lower in quality than his own be able to notice his level? Previously, Ja Sun wasn't aware of Qian Daoliu's mental presence either.

His expression turned dazed and he quickly retracted his vision. Not because of morals. He barely had any left.

And it also wasn't because the scene happened to be ugly. The glimpse of it caused Ja Sun to almost give up his current slow and steady approach completely!

It was simply because he didn't want to ruin his own surprise. That wasn't worth it. He could barely care about Jun'er and Lana. They were hot, but so what? The two were engaged and as depraved he thought his mind to be, in his past life, he only enjoyed the animated and drawn 'green hat' content because of the artwork. The stories have been mostly shitty in the first place. Not to mention, one was a bitch and the other was an ensnaring fox... it truly wasn't worthwhile.

Meanwhile, Liu Erlong and Yuehua were off the limits, too. Well, for now. He had been aware of Erlong's crush on him since... well, it's been a long time. That is why he liked to screw around with her to test the limits of her patience, which, by the way, wasn't anything profound. Meanwhile, Yuehua was just... Ja Sun dared not call her a little sister at risk of invoking some PTSD. But their relationship, essentially, was like that and that is why Ja Sun barely held any verbal punches from her, too.

"I'm sorry what?" Ja Sun shook his head and looked at Xie Xan, "Oh, yeah, I get it. You're a fucking deprave asshole who could bed his wife but would enjoy peeking more. Talk about pathetic."

Xie Xan wasn't offended. He had stepped on the path of shamelessness now that he was Bibi Dong's go-to person for more political issues. Shrugging, he shot back, "Says the asshole perverted enough to not settle for a single woman. God! If it wasn't for little Yin, I would have clocked you right now."

"Go ahead," Ja Sun snorted.

"Bitch, I don't fight while I drink," To Xie Xan, making excuses was instinctual.

---

"So?" Hu Lana adjusted the shoulder straps of her crimson dress that matched what Xie Xan was wearing at the moment and then turned her attention to her hair.

Others were, more or less, in a scandalous situation, too. They wanted their own privacy to get dressed but Hu Lana wanted to be with everybody for her sick sense of gloating.

"She was a stuttering mess," Ah Yin replied, making Bibi Dong scowl. In front of Ja Sun she would end up revealing a more delicate sight but that was only because 'this' was new. Bibi Dong was confident to hold the two 'pieces' in the palm of her hand the moment she got more comfortable with more embarrassing things and warm stuff that Ja Sun would speak to her.

"Oh, come on!" Hu Lana rolled her eyes, "You know, the moment I married my husband, it was the most joyous point of my life."

There it is— all of them thought secretly. They were aware that Hu Lana was barely a kind soul and the only reason she wanted to stick around with everyone was to stick it to them that she was married and they weren't. What surprised them, however, was that it was actually taking an effect on them, making them secretly feel envious. Ah Yin, too, felt a moment of despise for her human body to feel as such and found the prospects of marrying and completing the human responsibility of propagation pleasing somewhat.

"Give us a break," Erlong scoffed, "You were a crying mess. Ohhh~ Let me sin. Ooohhh, all I am belongs to you... I cringed." She lied. Liu Erlong found it more than pleasant and heartwarming but she would never admit and the more she acted like that, the happier Hu Lana felt, making her cackle like she wasn't a married woman and didn't birth a package worth quite a few kilograms.

"Whatever!" Hu Lana grinned, unabashed, "So? Only you two have to find a special someone, right? May I offer you a few prospects from our subordinates?" She leaned forward and Jun'er added softly, "Or... they could go together..."

Yuehua and Erlong glared at Jun'er.

"What the hell?"

"That's disgusting!"

Yuehua gaped, a little hurt as she looked at Erlong.

"I'm disgusting?"

"No... I mean, the thought of being with you, Ahgh, not that, I meant it in that way—"

It was Erlong's time to feel flustered when Yuehua smirked.

"Anyway..." Hu Lana's expression turned serious as she looked at Bibi Dong, "Would you please get back on your game? Yin, why don't you help her?"

"You mean to get laid with my boyfriend?" Ah Yin narrowed her eyes.

"Ours," Bibi Dong replied. She truly only felt unnerved around Ja Sun due to their recent changes in the relationship.

Ah Yin closed her eyes and traced her chin while she still wasn't completely dressed.

"What will I get in return?"

Jun'er was speechless as she had some bitter memories from back in the past where her old team hadn't been able to fulfill Ah Yin's demands.

But Bibi Dong was naturally different. The prospect of smoothening her relationship with Ah Yin and getting along with Ja Sun was truly a pleasant thought. It wasn't like they were on bad terms and were even friends but Bibi Dong felt in the back of her head that the two needed to have an open conversation, or cooperation, to not turn this relationship into a bitter mess.

History has shown Bibi Dong that relationships like this require one dominant partner whom others had no problem following, and it also needed a level of understanding between other partners.

Bibi Dong was clear that with how Ja Sun has been speeding through the ranks, her only hope of catching up to the potential was by completely accepting the inheritance and overcoming the trials, so she knew that Ja Sun was one man she could get behind of not to get protected but to have her horizons broadened further.

Seeing the opportunity to get along present itself, Bibi Dong issued a low humming sound and she compressed her voice. Her willingness for the act should not be misunderstood by giving away her privacy to others who weren't involved. What Bibi Dong offered wasn't anything monetary but it seemed to have elicited Ah Yin's interest and she gazed at Bibi Dong before nodding with a smile.

"That's what I'm talking about. Are you sure?"

"If it... isn't too weird, I want to see that happen myself," Bibi Dong gave a like-minded smile.

"Oh, it won't be weird."

"Hey, hey, what's going on? Why the secrets? Do you know, as a married couple, Xan and I—"

"Oh, shut up!" Others glared down at Hu Lana at a moment's notice, making her chuckle shamelessly.
