Bk3: Ch–6Spears(pt-2)

Rosa watched her brother leave the tent. Prince Nicholas was not part of her life until she was old enough to study. He was someone who was not in her life for long. The revolt happened within a few months of his arrival.

“Sir, for the heirs of the kingdom is it necessary to attend the tournament?” She asked Darce still looking at the entrance of the tent.

Darce walked and stood beside her. “No, the candidates can decline to participate in the tournament.”

‘He was father’s only heir. I don’t think he would be participating in the tournament.’ Her head dropped down to the ground.

Her mind was filled with questions about why the attack was done in the castle.

‘It occurred when he was not in the castle.’ The shadow reminded her.

‘Was he part of it?’ He smiled while whispering in her ears. ‘What if he wanted to remove the thorns from his seat?’

Rosa turned to face him. ‘He was the only heir to the throne. Don’t try to put things in my mind.’
