36. Goes To Bali

In the morning, Charlos woke up and saw Reva was getting ready. Reva was wearing a casual t-shirt and shorts, while Charlos was still topless and wearing boxer shorts only. His eyes still felt sticky when he looked at the clock from his cellphone. It was nine o'clock now.

"Good morning, sleepy head!"

Reva approached him and kissed him. Reva's body was very fragrant and fresh. Charlos groaned in a hoarse voice as he stretched his body.

Reva smiled and said, "Let's go!"

Reva showed a piece of paper. Charlos immediately sat down and grabbed the paper. It turned out to be a boarding pass to Bali. Charlos's eyes widened, and he smiled with his eyes still narrow.

"Great. You got the tickets really fast."

Reva smiled. "Of course."

"Usually, Rendra prepares everything, but now, you prepared the tickets for me. It felt like … I feel very honored." Charlos smiled widely.

"Are you kidding me?" Reva stroked Charlos's cheek until the hairs on the back of his neck prickled.

Finally, Charlos got up and took a shower. After that, Charlos and Reva had breakfast together in the room.

Reva had called Jack and told him that they were going on vacation to Bali. Luckily, Jack agreed.

Charlos and Reva arrived at Ngurah Rai airport that same day at four in the afternoon. The weather in Bali is great; hot and very sunny. In contrast to Bandung, which rains almost every day.

After picking up the suitcase, Charlos Reva left the airport in a rental car. Charlos is driving.

That night, they watched the Kecak Dance performance at Uluwatu Temple while enjoying the beautiful sunset. The venue is on the edge of a fenced ravine, and the waves crash beneath it—what a fantastic view.

The voices of the male singers who answered each other formed a unique orchestral tone—Kecak Kecak Kecak.

The female dancer has a lovely face with her beautiful body swaying gracefully. The Kecak dance ends with the great attraction of Hanoman kicking a fireball that should burn him, but with his strength, Hanoman kicks the fireball like a soccer ball.

The audience consisted of locals and foreigners. They all clapped. Then, they scrambled to take pictures with the Kecak Dance players, but Charlos grabbed Reva's hand, and then they left the place to Jimbaran.

The sky was completely dark. After Charlos parked the car, they entered a charming beachside restaurant.

Charlos can see the candlelight and beautiful lights along Jimbaran beach. Then, the restaurant buskers play romantic songs. The musical instruments are guitar, bass, and percussion, complete with a large Mexican hat.

They ate their seafood dinner voraciously. Charlos laughed when Reva was confused about eating crabs. Charlos helped her open the tough crab shell and pulled out the flesh for Reva.

"Do you mind if we have dinner at this place?" asked Charlos.

"It's okay. Why? The view is very beautiful here," said Reva.

"Yeah, you're right," Charlos agreed. "I didn't get to book my friend's restaurant that I used to go to when I was here. If we were there, I could personally book the restaurant. So, no other diners would come. However, it looks like It's a bit difficult if I ask to order the entire restaurant in this place."

"You're thinking too much, Charl. I'm happy to be here. I haven't been to Bali again in a very long time. Last time I here when I was with Sue."

Suddenly, Reva fell silent. This thing worried Charlos.

"What's the matter?"

Reva shooked the head. "Sorry, I shouldn't be talking about Sue."

"No problem, Rev," said Charlos.

Reva smiled and then pressed lips full of sauce to Charlos's cheek. Charlos must avenge Reva's actions. He poked Reva's cheek with sauce. They kept on joking until Reva pulled Charlos and kissed him.

Charlos was very surprised. Then he looked around to see if any reporters had seen them. However, no one paid any attention to them.

No one was interested in what they were doing, no journalists, no one tried to take their picture, and no one asked for autographs or a group photo.

The next day Charlos and Reva went diving to Nusa Penida Beach by Charlos's private speed boat. The journey took an hour and a half to the place they were going to explore.

They were wearing tight black wetsuits. Reva helped Charlos carry oxygen on his back. On the count of three, they together entered the sea head first.

They enjoy lots of beautiful and colourful ornamental fish like rainbows. Charlos's hands tried to reach the fish, but they dodged so fast as if they were mocking him.

Reva grabbed Charlos's hand as he was about to poke his hand towards the sea urchin that was perched on the side of the coral reef. Reva shooked the head, then pointed to the right. The school fish passed them in an elegant line. Their movements were so orderly as if they had a leader.

Sea anemone flower arrangements seemed to dance across them. Some are shaped like a highlighter yellow sea cactus. Then two orange clownfish were huddled in a group of yellow-red anemones. Charlos looked for the correct position then pressed the waterproof camera button. Immediately the clownfish ran away as the anemones swallowed it.

Then a beautiful sea angel appeared. The fish is orange and white, mottled with gorgeous fins, bobbing proudly. There was also a fish that looked like a zebra, but it shot off as Charlos approached it.

Reva grabbed a pinch of fish snack from her small bag. Within seconds, dozens of fish flocked to him like they were starving. Charlos didn't forget to take his picture. He wanted to laugh, but the oxygen tube held him back.

Then a poisonous transparent jellyfish flashed. Reva held Charlos, who looked panicked.

Reva released oxygen from her mouth to form air bubbles that seemed to be churning in front of them. The jellyfish floated slowly like a parachute, away from them. His movements were so relaxed, as if he didn't care about them. After the jellyfish left, Charlos and Reva resumed their adventure.

A group of turtles of various sizes were swimming leisurely. Their movement looked like a row, so enchanting—what a rare sight. This time, Reva grabbed Charlos' camera and took a photo of the turtle.

Dozens of starfish scattered at the bottom of the white sand. There was one that caught Charlos' attention because it was light blue and very unique. Charlos was about to take it, but Reva immediately stopped it while shaking the head, and Charlos shrugged.
