Chapter 266: AWOL

“What?” Jackie gasped, as Amy’s tears started again.

“We’re going to take a little time,” Blake said, pulling Amy to his chest. “And I think I’ll call Eve and Sam. We’ll be back later.”

Shocked, Jackie watched her brother and Amy head out the door. “Oh, my God. Poor Amy.”

“U.S. Marshals. Because they think she fled the country.” Scott shook his head. “It’s crazy, man.”

“She mentioned something about being sent to rehab, but her—” Jackie turned up both palms. “Her person, whoever that was, her manager or whatever, he brought her here. Made the arrangements himself. I talked to him over the phone before they came.”

Scott sat back thoughtfully. “This isn’t rehab. Unless you count the fact that Blake’s a licensed therapist. In which case, I don’t see the issue.”

“I don’t know. This is just so…unfair.” Jackie was close to tears.
