Laying down the bit of wax paper I drop and slice the long piece of bread open, cutting through the seams of it. From my bowl I pick out thin strips of meat and lay them over the open bread, folding where necessary. Next, from a different bowl I take out strips of triangular cheese and place it right on the growing sandwich.
With the wax paper I lift the bread, meat and cheese combo and place it in the oven, set a timer and wait, ignoring the shrill noises. At the ding I pull it out and lay it back at the work table, laying it with mayo and then sprinkling some lettuce, olives, tomatoes and onion rings, I'm sure to hold the cucumber at his reminder.
Moving on to the bottles I grab and pour some oil and vinegar, add a dash of our spices and then ready to roll the monolith of a sandwich.
Rolled, cut in half, wrapped and blessed with a serviette, I start, "Will you need anything else, sir?"
