Chapter 14

One week later

I walk through the halls. It's different... I feel this void without Theo. It's not that I miss him. I just miss having a boyfriend. I miss having someone to hold my hands. I miss having someone to walk me to class and wait for me outside the class door to take me to my next one.

I miss being the envy of practically every girl. I miss being able to kiss someone. I miss everything about having a boyfriend, not Theo.

I went through all my classes today. It just went by so fast. In a blink of an eye I was already at lunch. I sat down and ate. But my friends where quite.

"Somethings wrong, why aren't you taking?" I ask

Lola points behind me. I see Aden approach our table. He tells Nick to move so he could sit next to me. By Aden kicking Nick out of his seat it made him have to sit by Lola.

"Hey guys." Aden says

"Hey." Casey says

Casey looked confused.

"Why are you here?" Lola asked

"I just felt like sitting over here." Aden responds

Meanwhile I'm shoving a meatball sub in my mouth. I eat like an animal, one of my turn off qualities. Aden just sits there eating his food.

Then Stacy and Theo stroll by my table holding hands. I get up and put my plate away. I walk out of the lunch room and into the hall. Aden follows me.

"What's wrong?" He asks

"Nothing." I say as a tear slips from my eye

He gets ahead of me and stands right in front of me. He stops me. He holds onto my arms.

"Really, what's wrong?" He asked

"Do you even care?" I ask as

I move away from Aden. He pulls on my arm and makes me face him. He wipes the tear off my face.

"Yes , I do care." He says

He smiled at me.

"And I'll have you know Theo's just a player... Just be glad your still a virgin." Aden says

I look down at my shoes. Aden lifts my head up.

"Is that's what's wrong?" Aden asks

"Partly." I say my voice cracking

"You don't have to tell me, but I will always be here for you." Aden says

He pulls me into a hug. The bell rings meaning lunch has ended. Aden and I just stayed in the hallway, Hugging. Nobody bumped into us. I buried my face into his chest and tightened my grip he did the same. I didn't want to let go. I could tell he didn't either.

"We should probably get to class." He said

We both pulled away from each other. He kelt down.

"Wanna piggy back ride?" He asks

"Sure." I say hopping on his back

He carried me to class and I dropped down. He hugged me.

"I may have not known you long but I will always be here for you." He smiled and walked to his class

I walked into mine. I sat down and then the bell rung. Meaning class has started. I sat there in my desk. Aden was acting really weird... He never talks to me. He used to talk to me in middle school. But he hasn't talked to me since eighth grade. Why start talking to me now?

I was so confused. Why would Aden care? He probably has his grades to worry about. Why would he even take time out of his day to cheer me up? This all didn't make any sense to me.

Unless he still likes me... Which is impossible. I mean look at me.

I have short brown curly hair that has a mind of its own, I never seem to look cute, my face looks like a fricken chicken and troll had a baby. I mean seriously there are way more pretty girls he could be interested in. I mean like way more.

I sit through class. The bell rings... Gym class. I walk out of class and Aden is waiting at the door.

I walk past him and he catches up to me.

"Hey Aden." I say

"Hey where's your next class?" He asks

"Gym." I say

"Mind if I walk with you?" He asks

"Where's yours?" I ask

"Chemistry." He says

"That's all the way on the other side of the school!" I say

"I know." He says

"You know how Mrs. Hill is about tardys." I say

"I know." He says

"Are you sure?" I ask

"Sure." He says

"Okay." I say

I walk to the gym with Aden. He opens the door for me and I stop outside of the locker room.

He hugs me and walks to chemistry class. Damn this boy is confusing. I get dressed and gym goes by so fast.

Gym ends and I go to history. I sit down next to Ben.

"I'll have you know Stacy's pregnant." Ben laughs

I laugh. I immediately feel like a bad person for laughing but you know she deserves it.

I text Lola on kik.

Adena: Ben just told me that Stacy is pregnant.

Lola hates all: Really? lol

Adena: Yeah Lol

Lola hates all: Omg that's what the hoe gets! You okay, you walked out of lunch earlier.

Adena: Yeah I'm fine.

Lola hates all: Aden seemed to be at your side all day today.

Adena: Yeah idk what's up.

Lola hates all: He likes you... It's so obvious.

Adena: It kinda isn't, and I highly doubt he likes me.

Lola hates all: Haha your funny he likes you.

Adena: Haha your funny he doesn't

Adena: no Aden doesn't.

I turn my phone off and put it in my pocket. See I told them. My phone kept buzzing in my pocket. I ignored it the whole hour.

"So what's up Ben?" I ask

"Nothing much." He sighs

"There's something wrong and I know it." I say

"I haven't told anyone about it and I don't know what to say." He says

"Come again?" I ask

He leans closer to me.

"I'm gay." He whispered

"Really?" I ask

"No, I just told you that to throw you off... Yes I'm gay." He said

"Sorry, who else knows?" I ask

"Just you." He says

"How come I'm the only one?" I ask

"I trust you." He says, "I don't care who you tell but please don't tell Theo."

"I'm not gonna say a word." I say
