Inherit The Title

~~~***~~~
The girl from the outside watched the girl from the inside struggle at the revelation she found out.
She watched her become devastated to start living like a lifeless person, eating, drinking and sleeping.
All of which was done just beside the window that the girl from the outside could witness everything.
At first the girl was angry.
She started blaming her for showing her so much and asking her stupid question.
Then the ranting started dying before she started walking and doing things like a living corpse.
The girl from the outside did not want to see her like this, and she didn't know what to do if she sees her like this.
She too, just suddenly saw the window appear out of nowhere.
She didn't bother since it had been closed off since it appeared and just went on with whatever it is that she does.
It was until the window had opened that she found out that there was another girl living on the other side.
She enjoyed showing her everything that she could but didn't expect that her impact would be that great.
She rarely felt the sadness in what it is that she does, only now that she can see how devastated the other girl is that she couldn't help but feel that strong sadness the other girl was exuding.
Was it really her fault?
Was it really because she had shown the world to her?
But all she did was to enjoy her life while showing it to her because she was watching.
Was enjoying her life really her fault?
The moment she asked herself this, she felt herself suddenly losing her strength.
And then she remembered that one rule she had in her head, something she had ever since she had a mind of her own.
'Never doubt your existence. Not even what you are doing.'
She was too shock to realize that this was what it was about all along, something she had neglected and now that she is experiencing it, all she could do was to look at the girl within the window.
"Stop watching me," Amethyst chuckled as she said this.
"I couldn't help it, I never thought you would be this beautiful while typing," Scarlet answered back.
After coming back, Amethyst was able to help her in typing out what she thought and her speed gradually improved. Allowing her to type better and better everything that Scarlet would say.
"I feel like I am taking a test on my own and the teacher was watching me closely," she said with a laugh.
"I'm being serious right now, you really look something else as you type. As if you were meant to do it," Scarlet still kept going.
Amethyst shook her head, "Then should I just keep typing?"
"Hoho, you can, then Slate would fall for you for sure," she teased.
Amethyst raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, "Why was his name suddenly included in our conversation?"
Scarlet shrugged, "I don't know. You two seemed to have gotten closer ever since you came back from that trip. Don't forget that you two rarely talk about things outside of the writing and about me."
"We were talking about those things in the past already," Amethyst thought back before replying.
"Nope, definitely not. Your relationship definitely improved after coming back from Sagada. So what did you two talked about in there?"
Scarlet looks like a teenage girl ready for some juicy gossip.
Amethyst couldn't help but laugh, "Your imagination is truly amazing, why don't we focus on the story we are writing instead of that?"
She leaned back again and started typing, Scarlet could only pout at the way she evaded the question.
She knew something occurred because Slate's state truly improved after coming back from that trip.
"After that little vacation, you seemed better," Gabriel commented as he chanced upon Slate in the cafeteria.
"What do you mean by that?" he looked at him in confusion.
"Since you know, your sister's health dropped even more, you became too gloomy that even the patients could feel it," Gabriel replied.
"Did I?" he asked after hearing it, he looks like he didn't notice it at all.
"Yes, you did and man, you sure were like a walking corpse back then. But after you came back on that four day trip, you look much better. So what happened?" Gabriel moved closer as he asked this.
"What happened your face, I just got a breather from the city. That is what happened," he replied slapping his hand on Gabriel's forehead.
"Yeah right, do you think I would believe you when you went there with a woman and then when you returned, you actually look much better? Nah, I won't believe nothing happened," Gabriel rubbed his forehead as he said this.
"You are just like my sister. I was thrown there to check on her and that's just it," he said before standing up.
As if he would tell anyone that he had cried in the arms of a woman.
No, not ever.
She would never tell them that the person he met only for a few months was actually able to make him cry and bring out the emotions he had been hiding.
Gabriel watched him walked away before shaking his head, "The smile on your face has changed as well stupid. You look brighter now and I am happy for you. But I won't tell you this because you would surely just rebuke it."
"Do you need me for anything?" Amethyst came to a restaurant to speak with Eduard when he called her out.
"Yes, there is one thing. I actually wanted to ask this once the project you are working on is done but seeing how much you have improved from the first time I met you. I want you to start thinking about it," he said seriously.
"What is it?"
"Scarlet wants you to receive her legacy," he went straight to the point.
"Her legacy?"
"She saw how you write, witnessed your capabilities and because of that, she came to the conclusion that she didn't want Ms. Night to die, to disappear. And she wanted you to be the one to inherit the title."
Amethyst was shock and bewildered, "Why isn't she the one telling me this?"
"She wanted me to tell it to you once she's gone. But I think you should start thinking about it while she is still with you. And I want you to understand just who is Ms. Night to her."
She wasn't prepared to hear this at all.
"I hope you won't tell her what I just said," he then added before the two of them went their separate ways.
She walked down Session Road in a slow manner, trying to absorb what Eduard had just told her.
"What are you doing?"
As she was trying to think about it, someone tapped her shoulder.
"Why are you here?" she asked.
"Why can't I be here?" he asked in return.
"I mean, didn't you bring your car?" she said trying to focus on their conversation.
"I did but the parking space at the hospital was full this morning, for some odd reason that I had to park on a different place," he explained.
"Oh."
Slate could see that she was a bit out of it, "How about you?"
"I… didn't bring my car and was just thinking, that's why I am enjoying Session road right now."
He can tell that something was on her mind but chose not to pry.
"Why don't I give you a lift?"
She laughed, "Well, I would have thought of you as someone who is ungentlemanly if you didn't give me a ride."
He raised an eyebrow and shook his head but didn't rebuke.
The two of them went down Session Road in silence.
I don't know what to feel anymore... This is the first time I am writing this type of flow of the story that someone is preparing the others for her death....
