She hoped she was dreaming, but when she dragged her body out of bed and looked out, her fears were confirmed. She was back on Dairon's Island. She thought back to what happened the night before and her eyes were filled with hate.
When Bardumond came to her room and put Dahlia's life in danger just so she would say some words in the language of the gods, she naively believed that they would make her forget about Dairon. She should have known! That must have been Dairon's way of dragging her back here.
She checked herself out in the mirror which made her frown. If her memory served her right, this mirror was broken on the day she returned to the human realm. There was a metallic door behind it which was a portal. She looked at the mirror in anticipation. If she were to break it now, would she be able to leave again? She even tried to remember the words she had seen engraved on the door, the ones that enabled her to open the portal.
