~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: The Jedi Temple, Coruscant)~~~
Satele comes out of the area unrestricted to people with her authority. Her eyes rest on me for a little longer than necessary, and that's a sign she's found answers to questions she's got. I can already feel she'll be bombarding me with questions later.
She makes her way over to the three of us and sees Nella is still sleeping. Instead of saying anything to us, she pulls out a holo-communicator and calls a force of military personnel to pick us up.
"C'mon, we're going to meet them outside."
I pick up Nella, and she continues to sleep as I carry her piggyback style. It takes about an hour, but we make it out of The Jedi Temple. Satele gives orders to take us to The Senate Building. My aunt should have secured a new ship for me by now.
We're let out on the Jedi landing pad, and we follow Satele inside. We enter a room, and I gently lay Nella on a couch. And then taking a load off myself.
"Eassa, I need to speak with Nate alone. Please, excuse us."
The beautiful Twi'lek isn't happy, but she's got no choice but to listen to Satele. Soon, it's just me and Satele. Along with a sleeping Nella. She takes a seat near a window and stares out of it. She motions for me to join her, and that's what I do.
The passing of vehicles brings droning ease to the room. I know she's found out something, but I don't know what specifically. Looking through my Old Master's mind isn't something I want to do.
"I take it you have some questions for me?"
I don't sound hostile or defensive. I'm only ready to answer any questions she might have. I don't want anything to come across as a lie to her. I'll only answer questions she asks. I won't go out of my way to give answers to others she doesn't ask.
She gently rubs her temple and takes a small breath. She's a little stressed. I sense the first question coming, and I prepare myself.
"Are you a Mortis God."
It's not a question per se but more of a demand. The voice she uses isn't demanding; I guess you could call it a statement.
My eyes are locked out of the passing vehicles outside. This is a hard question to answer. In the end, I think I'm a Force God. But not a Mortis God. But all this is confusing for me too. There are things I don't have the answer to either.
She's growing impatient at my lack of an answer.
"I'm connected to them... But I wasn't born on Mortis. So, I'm not a Mortis God."
I can tell she's frustrated with my technical response.
"I take it you're not going to clearly answer any of my questions. So be straight with me, Nate. How are you connected to The Mortis Gods."
Way to come out swinging, but she deserves answers.
"What do you know about Abeloth?"
A worried and fearful expression appears on Satele. It seems she knows something about my mother. Given she's about to learn the truth about me, she's trying to keep an open mind, which I appreciate.
"All I know is she's an entity of Chaos and Destruction. She's the alleged Mother of Mortis."
Seems she's got more answers than she realizes.
"She's my mother."
There is a tense silence from Satele. Her eyes dart back and forth on my features, looking for any deceit. Not finding anything, she opens her mouth.
"What..."
That's an expected reaction. Too bad she won't have the same reactions as Nella. My cousin has the response you'd want from everyone. Accepting and glad to know.
"Abeloth... The Mother... The Beloved Queen Of The Stars... She's my mother... She gave birth to me... I don't have a father. She became pregnant from The Force, and then I came along."
This is the truth that I know. This is everything I've come to learn about myself.
Her eyes are drilling into mine, and I can feel she's going through a lot in this revealment. A mixture of bad and good feelings. It's the most unbalanced I've felt in my life. But she'll never know I was reincarnated in this universe.
A fact that I learned on IIum.
