Together with her son

"Oro! Take your men to the right!" a childish yet powerful voice commanded with authority as it could be clearly heard even with the fighting ongoing around it's source.

Next moment a large group of riders split from the middle battlefield and hastily moved to the right flank.

There was chaos all around, large groups of people clashing in relentless combat, their dying screams drowned by the clash of metals and neights of horses.

Brendan was still a child, but the number of battles he experienced in the last few moons could put even some vintage knights to shame Each of his tribal riders now an experienced warrior in their own accord.

Slashing his swords left and right he rode through the hordes of enemies on his red, trusted friend's back, his life in the hands of Old Gods as he could die at any moment.

He looked to the right where he sent his bloodrider brother to see him cutting through the weakened enemies's flank, then turning around with his men and slamming at the back of the disorganized Dothraki in the center taking the short lived Khals head and at the same time ending the fight.

That was exactly what Brendan was aiming for, not the Khals head... well that too, but mostly the unbounded way of thinking that allowed the commanders of each unit to grab the initiative and improvise when they saw it fit without the need for him to give orders.

The battlefield was a constantly changing variable and no man alone could manage it.

The number of his troops already increased from the original 16000 that followed him to 25000 in few moons time. Groups of those that decided to stay Dothraki civilians, children and ex slaves made their way back to their new home, but now as free men and a part of his tribe. Yet there was no happiness on his face only worry as the last experience he had before leaving New Lhazar didn't allow him to calm his mind.

~ Flashback

Brendan was looking at a small, albino cub playing with it and teaching it obedience while transferring thoughts using his skill. Since his wounds didn't heal yet, this was something he thought about to occupy himself.

Unfortunately it didn't go as he expected it to, there was no problem with listening to him, but the cub was still temperamental which meant that he might do something stupid if Brendan was not there.

Having one of his "brilliant" moments Brendan remembered how in the show from his passed life the Shade of the evening supposedly increases the magic power temporarily, and it so happens that he did have the drink from some slavers they eradicated earlier.

Maybe it was his fanboy curiosity, or mayby simply stupidity as a few moments later he drank a small cup of it.

The taste was horrid and hard to describe, it tasted like nothing and everything at the same time.

His mind wondered to a place of dreams.

Green fields smelling of fresh grass after the morning rain, sun on his face and three spectral animal shapes around him.

The happiness for a successful idea clouded his judgement as he tested his hypothesis of imprinting the image of the master and commands that followed with it directly to the animals mind.

Brendan felt that more was needed to do so, needless to say he decided to investigate what the "more" was later.

His idea was to make a perfect guardian or possibly an army of them for his family and closest men.

The first tests were successful and filled the boy with happiness and optimism as he imprinted Obara's and Tyene's pets yet when it came to the last one, the problems started.

The boy felt unimaginable pain coming directly from his soul during the process and then it all went black.

Now he knew what the "more" was.

It was Children of the forest that found him in the bizarre darkness where a bright fire and blizzard surrounded him at the same time, he could smell the sea salt and before his short friends got to him in the flame he saw a beautiful woman's eyes looking directly at him while covered in fire as well.

"Valar morghulis chosen one..." he thought he heard.

Brendan felt like he knew the woman, but with the unbearable pain he couldn't concentrate on the small, taking into consideration the current situation he was in, distraction.

He finally woke from the darkness with Twig's and other children voices help and even without being able to see them he still felt their presence lingering around him, protecting him.

That wasn't the weirdest part.

When Lord Brendan opened his eyes again, he saw a rainy forest full of weirwood trees, the place was surrounded by water with a woman kneeling on the ground.

He could not see the front of her, but in his heart he could already confidently tell it was his mother, she was trembling on the ground on her knees likely in pain and crying.

Brendan didn't have the time to be surprised at the scene as another person came in view unbeknown to his parent.

The sobs of his mother broke his heart piece by piece and after spotting the blade in the man's that silently approached her hand he panicked.

Shouting and slamming his body into a invisible barrier that blocked him from advancing he could only watch in terror as the man silently closed the distance.

Young Dustin screamed his lungs out as hard as he could, his throat almost not making any sound when his sight saw his worst nightmare.

The blade touched his mothers throat spilling blood and at the same moment his sight turned red welcoming the darkness again.

Later, after waking up he was informed about being in a coma for few days, even crying tears of blood during it making everyone worry, with Mirri and Rina doing magic rituals that kept him alive for all that time.

He was in their debt and the boy knew it but the dream felt too real to put it aside.

His actions were swift and decisive when he ordered his two best men to go back and guard his mother at the costs of their lives.

Lady Barbrey waited in a rundown Ale house watching the drunkards do the usual things.

The surrounding wasn't to her taste, but keeping her word that she gave to her son she didn't grumble and concerned on the task at hand.

Earlier that day she met with Lord Hand Jon Arryn and as per his heartfelt request decided to lend 4 million gold to the crown with of course Iron bank as guarantor as always.

Lord Arryn was fully aware on the Dustin's reputation and with that he preferred to borrow from them than the Lannisters or the Iron bank directly.

After the conversation in one of Dustin's villas in King's Landing was over, Lord Arryn went back only for the leader of whisperers in the city to visit the lady.

Chataya, the manager of one of the numerous pleasure houses in the shit smelling city had another role in the darkness.

She was the one going through the reports from their informants and choosing the relevant things to relate to her employers and this was one of the times she did.

She was requested to find a specific woman and a 4 years old child and as ordered she did leading to the place Lady Dustin was at now.

"Sit." covered in a dark grey cloak with few of her men surrounding them she pointed to the woman.

"M'Lady is something wrong?" the server was white as snow fully aware of the atrocities some nobles committed.

"Do you know why I asked for you?" hearing the cloaked Lady she shook her head. "Because I was asked to save you..." the tone became more gentle.

What followed was the revelation of what happened to someone in similar situation as the server woman.

Hearing how one of the girls that King Robert slept with was almost sold into slavery and her children murdered by the Queen, and knowing who she was talking to, the simple woman did not hesitate and decided to follow the Lady back North and work there at the castle in the kitchens taking together with her the only child she had, son... Gendry.

After leaving King's Landing without any trouble, the group went to the Vale to pick up a young girl, Mya Stone who was more then willing to leave her hard life at the Gates of the moon for the castle in Neverwinter.

Since she could understand words, she listen to the stories about that "magic land" and now that she, a six years old child had a chance to go there she of course would.

With the letter from Lord Jon Arryn, in which he was praying for the child wellbeing and knowing that she will have more possibilities with Lady Barbrey the gate Lord agreed without any hesitation.

Now the whole group except Ser Hadrian who stayed in Lannisport waiting for the rest of the troops and King's men to pick up the gold everyone else was camping in Harrenhal.
