Tentacool and Tentacruel

At the moment, Ashlyn and her friends were waiting for the next boat to come to bring them to the main land. So while waiting, Ashlyn switched out her Rockruff, Squirtle, and Butterfree for her three Eevees.

She sent the Eevees out of their Pokéballs and placed her Thunderstone, Firestone, and Waterstone in front of them. She asked the Eevee's if they wanted to evolve.

"If you don't want to, I won't force you." Ashlyn said.

One touched the thunderstone, another touched the firestone and the third touched the waterstone. And soon Ashlyn had a Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon.

Ashlyn took out her phone.

[Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon. When angered or frightened, the hairs on Jolteon's body become like needles are fired at its opponents. It absorbs charged atoms and can produce 10,000 volts of electricity.]

[Flareon, the Flame Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. It stores some of the air it breathes in its internal flame sac, which heats its body to over three thousand degrees.]

[Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. The composition of its cells is similar to molecules of water, and as such, can melt in water.]

Ashlyn could tell that her Eevees were happy with their new forms and nuzzled against Ashlyn who petted them all of the heads. Once she saw that they were very happy, she returned them to their Pokéballs and switched them with Rockruff, Squirtle, and Butterfree.

"And pretty soon I'll be having a new Pokémon." Ashlyn said as she held the Pokémon egg from S.S. Anne in her arms.

"What do you think it will hatch into?" Misty asked.

"I don't know," Ashlyn shrugged, "I just want it to be nice and healthy."

"(I can't wait to see what Pokémon it is)." Lucario said, excitedly.

Ashlyn chuckled as she put the egg back in its incubator and then into her bag, "You really like being the big brother to baby Pokémon, don't you?"

"(Maybe a little)." Lucario admitted.

Tesla's ears twitched looking at the ocean when it spotted something and pointed, "Rai, Rai Raichu! (Ashlyn, look at the water!)"

Ashlyn looked in the direction Tesla pointed to and saw that there really was something in the water. It was a Horsea!

"There's something in the water! It a Horsea!" Ashlyn said.

"A Horsea? All the way out here?" Brock questioned.

Ashlyn took out her phone.

[Horsea, the dragon Pokémon. The pre-evolved form of Seadra. It makes its nest in the shade of corals. If it senses danger, it spits murky ink and flees.]

"It looks like it's injured." Brock said as Misty stood up.

"And there isn't a Pokémon Center close here," Misty said sadly before pulling out a Pokéball, "I know what."

Horsea then splashed ink around, painting something before calling out for them, "Horsea! Sea Horsea Horsea! (Danger! They're coming)!"

"What's it saying, Ashlyn?" Brock asked.

"It said, 'Danger! They're coming!'" Ashlyn translated.

"But we have to try to take care of it's wounds, first." Misty said.

They suddenly heard a loud bang and looked up ahead to see a ship had exploded.

"Oh, no!" Brock called as he and Ashlyn stood up.

"We have to do something," Ashlyn pulled out Squirtle's Pokéball, "Squirtle, let's help them out!"

Misty threw out her water Pokémon's Pokéball, "Staryu! Starmie! Goldeen!"

Their Water Pokémon all swam toward the people that jumped off of the ship.

Ashlyn looked at Misty and Brock, "Get a boat to help them."

Brock took off as Misty and Ashlyn watched their Pokémon helping out a few of the people before they followed Brock. They jumped on a boat and Brock drove them toward them.

"This way, carry them to the boat!" Misty called and they swam toward them.

The gang helped the men up before Misty and Ashlyn called their Pokémon back to their Pokéballs.

The men were shaking as Brock drove them back to the dock.

"It was terrible... terrible." one of them said.

"What happened out there?" Brock asked.

"The boss... I got to tell the boss." he said.

The gang all exchanged a look before looking back at the men.

"(Look)!" Lucario called and the gang looked to the water to see Horsea swimming toward them.

"Horsea!" Misty called out.

She reached down and took the small Pokémon into her arms before turning to the others, "We should take care of it's wounds."

Misty held up a Pokéball before reaching over and catching Horsea inside. They watched until the Pokéball stopped moving which meant that Horsea belonged to Misty.

When the gang took the men back to their boss, let's say they were all shook to find out the boss looked a LOT like Brutella. But to Ashlyn, she already knew that the woman is Nastina, Brutella's cousin.

"I'm the boss! Now, stand straight!" Nastina said as her male maids were around her. They all jumped and stood straight. "I understand you had saved the men on my ship, thank you very much."

Ashlyn hesitated, "You're very welcome. Uh, I was wondering if you could give us a ride to the mainland." She wanted to get away from this woman as fast and far away as possible.

Nastina gave her a look, "You don't think you get away that fast, do ya?" They looked at her nervously. "Not until you'll see my new resort." They all looked at her in confusion.

"Resort?" Brock asked.

Nastina looked to her side, where there was a table with a model on it, "It's not finished, but it will be spectacular, the world's biggest luxury resort."

They all looked to the window to see a construction site in the middle of the ocean which they saw earlier when they were waiting for their ship.

"Is that the one in the ocean?" Misty asked.

"Yes, that's it," Nastina said, "That's 'Nastina's Paradise'. A super-luxury hotel, the hotel to end the all Hotels. It will have hundreds of luxuries suites, surrounded by the most beautiful coral reef." She then became very annoyed, "But only if those Tentacool stop interfering with the construction!"

"The Tentacool?" Misty and Ashlyn asked together.

"I get it, the Tentacool paralyzed your sailors." Brock realized.

Ashlyn knew that Tentacool usually don't get into trouble with humans or other Pokémon unless their home was being threatened. Apparently Nastina didn't care about that.

"Because of those Tentacool, all of the tourists are staying away from here," Nastina stated, "I don't know why such of despicable creatures even exists."

Misty and Ashlyn looked at her angrily.

"Did you say despicable?!" Misty asked.

"They're disgusting, you can't even eat them, and they're hurting my profit!" Nastina ranted, "I was hoping the four of you mind be able to help take care of my little problem, do you have the skill to handle a Tentacool extermination project?" They all looked at her in shock and she smirked, "Of course, I'll pay you well." She held her gold stick to the side and her maids opened the door to show lots of food on a table.

Brock grinned at the food, "Whoa!"

Misty and Ashlyn exchanged an annoyed look.

"If you'll succeed, you'll get world's class all you can eat luxury diners for one year, one million dollars in case, and vouchers for free stays in the hotels," Nastina offered. "First, you'll have to exterminate the Tentacool, every last one, then I'll pay you the rewards." Nastina said.

Misty and Ashlyn glared at her.

"That's disgusting!" Misty yelled, making Nastina jump backward in surprise.

"How can you say something like that?" Ashlyn asked as she placed her hands on her hips, "There's no deal! Come on."

Ashlyn turned around and walked out with her friends following her quickly.

"Can you believe that?" Ashlyn asked Misty.

"She's horrible." She agreed.

"I could swear that that woman is related to Brutella." Ashlyn said, pretending to questioned. She was actually creeped out by her male maids who were wearing nothing but swim spandexes, which was unsettling to her state of mind.

"It's scary to think so." Brock commented, shivered.

"If she is, then that means that she's trouble." Ashlyn stated.

"I can't believe she wants to exterminate the Tentacool," Misty clapped her hands together, "And they're all so cute."

Ashlyn, Lucario, and Brock looked at her, "Um..." Ashlyn pulled out her phone, "They're cute?"

[Tentacool, a Jellyfish Pokémon. 99% of its body is made up of water.]

Brock, Ashlyn, and Lucario looked at the picture of the Tentacool.

"(Ugly)." Lucario said.

"I guess ugly is in the eye of the beholder." Brock said.

Ashlyn shrugged, "Back to the problem, if Tentacool are attacking humans, then there's a reason for it. Tentacool usually are very calm Pokémon, so we got to find out what's going on."

"Raichu-Rai!" They all to the side where the fountain was, where Tesla was swimming with Horsea. They walked closer and noticed Horsea was looking much better.

"Horsea, how do you feel? You okay?" Misty questioned.

"Horsea looks better thanks to the Super Potion." Brock pointed out.

Horsea nodded in delight and Misty took it into her arms.

"Thank goodness." She said.

Suddenly, the Dragon Pokémon cried out worriedly and they looked at it.

"What is it?" Misty asked, "What are you trying to say?"

"Hold on, the picture it drew earlier...it looked like a Tentacool to me." Ashlyn said.

"Maybe it was telling us about the Tentacool, and why that ship was sunk." Brock said.

Misty looked at Horsea, "Is that right, Horsea?" It nodded before they heard a noise near them.

"Citizens of Porta Vista! Listen up!" Nastina's voice came through the speakers.

"Nastina." Ashlyn growled.

"I am recruiting volunteers to exterminate the Tentacool that terrorizing our town." Nastina's voice declared.

"Exterminate?!" Misty and Ashlyn asked together. Misty held Horsea into her arms as they all listened, "I will reward a million dollars to anyone who gets exterminate the Tentacool. Isn't Nastina's generous?"

"She will do anything to destroy them." Brock stated.

"Everyone who wants money, and wants to help the elements of our town, come to the Hutber immediately," Nastina's voice said.

Misty scoffed, "She expect people to destroy the Tentacool for money? How ridiculous."

We then saw the town people all running toward us.

"It's not ridiculous to them." Ashlyn said.

They all ran to the side before the people could run them over. Horsea jumped out of Misty's arms and jumped into the water.

"Horsea!" Misty called as they ran after Horsea but couldn't see it anywhere. Ashlyn looked to where the people were running.

"Come on, we have to do something!" Ashlyn looked at Misty, "We'll have to find Horsea later, Misty."

They all took off after the town people and got to the beach where a tank was pulling over as people were shouting.

Nastina came out from the tank and held a mic, "All right! Which one of you is going to win the one million dollar reward?"

A rose suddenly shot toward the tank and stuck on it. We all looked to where it came from to see a ship driving toward us and slowed to a stop.

"Who is that?" Nastina asked.

The gang saw on the ship a very familiar and annoying two people and a talking Pokémon.

"Prepare for trouble!"

"Make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all people's within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extended our reaches to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light."

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

Meowth jumped over, "Meowth! That's right!"

Ashlyn and her friends looked at them in boredom and annoyance.

Nastina smirked, "Hey, they got a lot of spunk!"

"That's a new definition of spunk." Ashlyn muttered.

"Rai-chu (No kidding)." Tesla said.

"Look at that hair." Jessie said as they stared at Nastina.

"Disaster." James agreed before Nastina tried to hit them with a missile but they ducked down.

"I don't need your beauty tact, I need to get rid of the Tentacool." Nastina snapped.

"It's a very distinct style, just don't shot." Jessie said and Meowth whispered something to her. Jessie and James stood up. "We are terribly sorry." Jessie said.

"Yes, very sorry," James agreed, "Please, leave your Tentacool extermination project to Team Rocket."

"This team may just could pull it off." Nastina smirked.

"We sure will, Nastina." Jessie said.

"Sounds good!" Nastina said, "If you'll exterminate the Tentacool completely, the million bucks is yours. Isn't Nastina's generous?"

"Yes, we've heard you at the first time." Jessie said before they drove away.

"Raichu (Poor Tentacool)." Tesla said.

"They disrespecting the ocean." Misty said sadly. Brock, Ashlyn, and her Pokémon looked at Misty as she watched Team Rocket leave.

"Ashlyn, how do we stop them?" Brock asked.

"We can't," Ashlyn answered sadly and placed a hand on Misty's shoulder, "Besides I have this odd feeling that they'll fail." Which was technically true.

"(They almost never succeed)." Lucario commented.

Misty and Brock frowned as they watched the ship stop and the water around it was growling red. The people around them were speaking all together.

"Tentacool!" Ashlyn said in shock, "And lots of them."

The ship exploded and right then, there was a bright light in the water, and when it disappeared, a giant Tentacruel appeared, which it was holding Team Rocket in one of it's tentacles.

Ashlyn gasped, "Oh no!"

They all watched as the Tentacruel wrapped it's tentacles around the construction site, starting to destroy it as the people around them started to ran away.

"This is impossible! Even in it's greatest high, Tentacruel shouldn't be more the 7 feet tall." Brock informed them before Ashlyn pulled out her phone.

[Tentacruel, a Jellyfish Pokémon. An evolved form of the Tentacool. Its numerous tentacles serve as a powerful weapon. It is known as 'The Gangster of the Sea.']

"That must be the gang leader." Ashlyn said, nervously and took a quick picture, "If Prof. Oak was here right now he'd be smiling from ear to ear."

"I really don't think now's an appropriate time to mention that." Brock sighed.

Ashlyn smiled sheepishly.

"Oh, no, Tentacruel is in trouble." Misty pointed to the side and they followed her gaze to Nastina to see her in her tank with her male maids with guns.

"How dare that thing crush my hotel?!" Nastina exclaimed, "Commence fire!"

The boys fired their guns as Nastina fired a missile but it didn't seem to have any affect on Tentacruel, do to it's huge size. What it only did, was get it's attention.

"Leave my hotel alone!" Nastina screamed.

Right then, all the Tentacool were swimming up to the beach, crawling up the sand while some crawled up on the tank as the Tentacruel was swimming toward the beach.

"We gotta try and protect Tentacruel." Misty pleaded as Ashlyn grabbed Misty's arm and dragging her away.

"There's going to be a tidal wave!" Ashlyn said and dragged her away.

They all ran toward the highest building with others. The gang got inside right in time before a tsunami hit them. They panted and ran up the stairs to the windows to see the city had became floated in water with Tentacool and the giant Tentacruel.

"I don't understand," Misty said, "Why would they do anything like this? Now everyone will be against them."

Ashlyn knew that the Horsea was trying to tell them that Nastina was building her new hotel on the Tentacool's nest, but that wouldn't matter to Nastina anyway.

"Look up there!" Brock said and we looked up at the Tentacruel, to see it was holding something in it's tentacle. It was Meowth!

A Tentacool slid up on it's tentacle, and placed both it's tentacles on Meowth's temples, making his eyes glow red.

"We are Tentacool and Tentacruel, hear us now, humans have destroyed our ocean and now we'll have our revenge," It spoke through Meowth, "Now, we'll began to destroy the world. Your home, as you have foolishly tried to destroy ours and not one of you has the right to complain about it."

"Their home... the construction site destroyed their home!" Ashlyn stated.

"That's right! The coral reef." Brock realized.

Misty gasped, "That's exactly what Horsea was trying to tell us! I should have understood what it was trying to say, and I call myself a water Pokémon trainer."

One of the Tentacruel's tentacles swiped toward them and they all ran away before Ashlyn looked over to see Misty was looking down in sadness, not noting the tentacle heading toward her.

"Misty!" Ashlyn shouted as she grabbed her arm, pulling her away as the tentacle smashed into the window.

"Are you two okay?" Brock asked the two girls and they nodded.

"It's too late, Horsea," They heard from outside. They walked closer to the windows to see the Horsea they met was in the water, trying to talk Tentacruel out from destroying the town. "No matter what you think, we can not turn away," It said, "We must teach the humans the pain of having homes destroy." Horsea shook it's head and spoke to Tentacruel. "A spineless attitude like yours, will only allowed humans to be more cruel and not considering in the future," It said through Meowth before listening to Horsea's response. "Are you saying we're the spineless ones? For that you must be punished!"

The Tentacruel hit one of it's tentacles into the water right next to Horsea, making it thrown out of the water and into the air.

"Oh, no! Horsea!" Misty cried out.

Ashlyn threw a Pokéball, "Grab Horsea, Pidgeot!"

Pidgeot was released and flew straight toward Horsea, grabbing the water Pokémon with her claws before flying back toward them. Misty took her Horsea into her arms as it was shaking.

"Good work, Pidgeot." Ashlyn thanked her flying type Pokémon.

"I'm sorry, Horsea. You got beaten up and you did it all for us humans, Thank you." Misty gently hugged Horsea with tears in the corner of her eyes.

Suddenly Tesla jumped on top of Ashlyn's head, "Rai, Rai, Raichu!"

"You want to try your luck?" Ashlyn asked with a smile.

"Raichu!" Tesla agreed as she crossed her arms.

"(I'm with Tesla on this one)." Lucario agreed.

"All right!" Ashlyn threw out five of her Pokéballs, releasing Butterfree, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Rory.

Misty threw out her Pokéballs; Goldeen, Staryu and Starmie. Brock threw out one of his Pokéballs; Zubat.

Butterfree was carrying Bulbasaur and Pidgeot was carrying Tesla. Lucario and Squirtle rode on Rory as he and Misty's water Pokémon jumped right into the water.

"Guys, make sure to get them away from here!" Ashlyn called out, "Send them back to the ocean!" All their Pokémon attacked them, slowly getting the Tentacool out of the city, back to the sea.

Ashlyn saw Misty leaving in the corner of her eye and grabbed her arm, "Misty, where you going?"

"I have to try something." She said before taking off with Horsea.

"You're all Pokémon, why are you battling to save the destruction of humans?" It asked through Meowth.

Then it started slapping the Pokémon away with its large tentacles. Ashlyn and Brock gasped when their Pokémon were hit.

"Though you are Pokémon, even if you take the humans' side, you're our enemy!" Tentacruel said through Meowth.

Tesla began talking to Tentacruel, which it spoke without Meowth, before it held one of it's tentacles, ready to hit them.

"Please stop, Tentacruel!" Misty shouted, which it finally looked at her.

"Please, just take them all back to the ocean!" Misty pleaded.

"Misty!" Ashlyn and Brock gasped.

"Please listen, Tentacruel, this is enough. We, humans, understand that we hurt you." Misty said as Tentacruel looked down around at the scared people as they were taking cover from the water around. "We won't destroy your homes anymore," Misty promised as it looked back at her. "We are all very sorry, so please."

The Tentacruel stared at her for a moment before lifting Meowth up, "If this happens again, we will not stop, remember this well." It then threw Meowth away towards the semi-destroyed amusement park before leading the Tentacool back to the ocean.

But before the giant Pokémon could leave peacefully, a missile hit it, but it didn't do anything to the Pokémon, and just make it look angrily down to where it was send from. The gang followed it's gaze to see Nastina shooting at it.

Ashlyn growled, "She doesn't get the message, does she?"

"Let's go!" Brock decided as the two headed towards Misty.

When they got there, they saw Tentacruel swipe Nastina up into the sky with it's tentacle, making her scream as she disappeared up in the sky.

Ashlyn smiled and waved, "So long!"

Then she and the others watched before watching Tentacruel turning around and leaving back into the ocean.

"Thanks, Tentacruel." Ashlyn said quietly.

As the sun was setting, the gang was finally sailing away from Porta Vista on their ship. Ashlyn and her friends were leaning on the railings.

"It's kinda weird, but Tentacool turned out to be okay." Brock commented.

"You're right," Ashlyn smiled.

"(So Misty, you still think Jellyfish Pokémon are cute)?" Lucario asked.

"Sure do." Misty replied with a closed eye smile.

Brock, Ashlyn, and her Pokémon sweat-dropped at that.

"But right now, Horsea is the cutest Pokémon of all. Come on, Horsea!" Misty called and released her new Pokémon and caught it in her arms. Then held a V sign and winked, "Horsea, you're my new Pokémon."

Ashlyn chuckled at that. Her male counterpart would be insulted by that, but she let it go for Misty's sake.
