Chapter 89

[A/N:The year is 1985, so Harry and Neville is 5 years old.Also I wanted to post a chapter or two before taking a break for the exams.]

Narcissa Malfoy was in the middle of a hunge crisis, it was a year after Voldemorts defeat at the hands of a toddler that her husband Lucius gave himself to Aurors and with other fellow death eaters escaped judgement with the help of excuse of being imperioused by Voldemort himself.

Lucius had to bribe a lot of officials to get out of this whole issue, but during the time the Malfoy name was under threat.So he had to start giving money to charity and hold other events to make sure people belived him.

At first she thought they were safe since the new minister Fudge was under Lucius thumb, but then came the bad news that all most every magical community except for Bulgaria and some smaller countries had to put a ban on all the people, who were death eaters pardoned or not.

It was shock to everyone, Lucius was quick to use Fudge to cause a commotion.But then Elijah Mikaelson intervened, which not only cause Fudge to be humiliated, but also for the ban to stay and accepted by other countries.

This ban had a huge effect on businesses owned by not just the Malfoy family, but several other dark families.Since they are unable to go or get any new business agreements with other magical communities.The Malfoy family was in trouble and she had to give up her luxurious lifestyle for a while.

Lucius in fake sad tone told his wife"Narcissa please you have to understand that our businesses hasn't been doing good. We are barely floating ourselves....so please can we use the black holdings."

Narcissa was not sure the Black family holdings were something her Walburga left Narcissa and Bellatrix with.She knew it was so that Sirius would not be able to use them, after all Sirius was never officially kicked out and Walburga doesn't have the authority to do that.

But she soon gave in since she did want her son to face hardships and said"I will talk with goblins tomorrow."

Lucius was happy with this, while Narcissa was still not sure and thought"If our financial situation goes down further then by little boy will be in the streets."

No, Narcissa decided to use the some of the Black holdings given to her by Bellatrix, it was something Bellatrix gifted to her.Since Lestrage family was richer than the Malfoys.Narcissa was planning move some of the Black holdings to Draco's name.

She even plans to involve herself more in Draco's teachings.Which would change Draco Malfoys life a lot.

While in Hogwarts Dumbledore felt he was losing control of the Longbottoms, who seems to have moved away from Britain.Even Augusta Longbottom seems to be cold towards him, but he had waved if off since he after all involved her son and daughter in law in the war.It might also have to do with the fact, he was also partly responsible for there condition.

Originally he had plans for them and young Neville,since they came out of there so called coma.It was shocking since he got information from one of his students, who worked there that the Longbottoms were tortured into insanity by four Death Eaters.

But they mysteriously woke up and healed, he was not able to get any information from

St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries about this.Since it was completely under wraps.Which was Elijah, Freya and Kol's influence.

Dumbledore at the time thought he could get someone to reveal the information with time,but

Dumbledore was going to lose his influence in St Mungo's was because of number healers have been reducing as time went on mainly because of his trusted spy Snape.The bitter man had too high standards in potions and many who liked potions would drop out because of his nasty behavior.

Dumbledore sighed and muttered"I have Harry, after all he is the chosen one."

Poor Dumbles didn't know that Klaus was going to mess with his plan big time, when Harry enters Hogwarts the boy is not the meek and love starved boy. But one who is cautious and understood the wizarding world enough.
