"You know, Ragnar is working on a way to get my infertility fixed. Hopefully, in the future, we can further our family." Magnus said.
They were coiled together, naked as the day they were born. It was not something new to them. She rested her head on his chest, "Really? That's amazing. What do you want though? A son or a daughter?"
He laughed, "Honestly, at this point, anyone will do. As long as it's yours and mine. But, Emma, I want to adopt some orphanages around the world. I will also be their father Magnus and you will be Mother Emma."
She hugged him tightly, "I see no problem in that,"
"Good, now let's sleep. I've kept you awake for so long now," He caressed her hair, slowly making her close her eyes and fall asleep with a radiant satisfied smile plastered on her face.
...
Next Day,
"Are you sure you don't want to take anybody with you?" Grace asked Magnus.
With bags packed and ready to leave, Magnus and Emma stood near their car. "Mum, I'm the strongest wizard in the world right now. No need to worry. I want to do this with Emma. Going on a road trip with her to Europe, it's going to be a different experience. Apparating everywhere is not so fun."
Magnus put the luggage in the trunk of the car. It was a 1957 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder convertible. A nice classic and fast car. They are going to be staying all around Europe, they won't be travelling for too long so needing a car too luxurious was not their priority. And they could always use magic to make it more comfortable.
"Then, take care, okay? Emma, don't let him do something stupid again," Grace said.
Emma chuckled, "Of course, mum. I will keep him in my sight at all times,"
The three little gremlins were sad however, they too wanted to go. Magnus kissed them bye, "Don't make long faces. You will be joining me next month. Our whole family will play. Also, you still have Ragnar to play with. Look at his hair, they're growing too much, pull them and make him bald."
"That's my style," Ragnar defended his fashion.
"Sure, that's hippie fashion. Okay, take care, everyone. Mum, take care, if anything emergency arises, you know how to contact me." He hugged his mother and jumped into the car.
Emma soon followed. He stepped on the pedal and zoomed out of the Palace grounds. He had cast a charm to stay unnoticed on themselves and not the car since doing that would make others slam into them.
Magnus had learnt his lesson a few years ago, it was like playing bumper cars where only he was the target.
"Turn on the radio, husband." Emma requested as she lazed in her seat reclined back.
He chuckled, "Why are you calling me that? Just call me Mag like always."
"I don't know, whenever I call you husband I get butterflies in my stomach. I love the feeling." She replied, giggling.
"Well, take my advice. If you call me that all the time, you will stop getting those butterflies forever. So keep it rare and meaningful. Now stop lazing around and show me the damn map. I have never driven a car so far." He slapped her thighs to wake her up.
"Ugh... Can't you make something like... A satellite-guided device to tell roads?" She grunted and got to work.
But Magnus felt the idea stick, "Nice, I can genuinely capitalise on this."
"Here goes my lovely capitalist dragon."
...
They continued on their journey. Crossing the Channel tunnel, they arrived in France. They headed straight to Paris but stopped outside the city to see the Palace of Versailles.
Magnus being the King of Britain could see any place he wanted. He was a VVIP. But, his face didn't look so good at the moment.
"What's the matter? You don't like this place?" She inquired.
He just shrugged, "Nah, I just, don't feel so good around my neck. This place has a bloody history, Emma. This used to be the home of the French royal family, before the revolution in which they all were killed, the king got his head chopped on the guillotine."
"Pfft... I understand now. Honestly, how the British royal family survive, it's a wonder." She laughed.
"Oh, we survived because of the colonies and the start of the industrial revolution. The French, well, their rulers were too unkind to the peasants. Anyway, let's go and see the Eiffel tower. Paris, they say it's the most romantic city in the world." Magnus cheered.
Although they had previously been to France, the visit was limited to the wizarding school.
"Really, now you've got my hopes up. If there are city rats and it didn't smell like roses everywhere, I'd be disappointed." She muttered.
Magnus sighed and drove towards disappointment. He knew about the city. Sure, it's the city of romance if you're rich enough. To experience the charm, you need fat pockets. In his opinion, one could have a much better romantic experience in any Mediterranean sea-facing town or city.
As expected, Emma grunted, "This is it? Is this giant pointy metal dick of France the most romantic place?"
Well, of course, it wasn't pleasing with hundreds of tourists everywhere, trying to click photos.
"Young man, can you click a photo of my family?" Out of nowhere, a man asked Magnus. From the way he spoke, it seemed he was from the Middle East.
Emma laughed heartily as he clicked the photo. Of course, they didn't recognise him due to magic.
"Here, where are you from though?" He asked, just feeling interested.
The man happily talked, "I am Akbarkhan, from Afghanistan."
That made him raise a brow, "How's everything in Afghanistan? I heard the Soviets have invaded?"
Shockingly, the man smiled, "It's tough, but god bless the Americans and the British. They drop food from their planes every day all around the country. Children and old people don't have to sleep hungry while their sons fight."
He nodded and moved away. ~Hmm, I didn't know we were sending humanitarian aid.~
"Come on, can you not for a day think about work?" Emma pulled his hand.
"Sorry sorry, let's get the photo clicked," Magnus called a man over who was roaming around offering photos to be clicked.
"10 francs a photo." The man said.
He agreed. He held Emma's waist and posed. They posed differently to get 10 photos. But then Magnus realised he fell into a scam.
"That's 250 francs." The man said.
Magnus scowled, "We only got 10 photos clicked."
"You should've said that before. I clicked 25 photos. I used my reel. Now please pay the money. 100 more if you want them all printed." The man looked smug, feeling the triumph of once again trapping a tourist.
Emma looked at Magnus' annoyed face. She held her laughter, how often do you get to see a greedy dragon scammed?
A few minutes later, Magnus and Emma walked away with a nice camera and a thousand francs. The cameraman had forgotten what he was doing, probably some medical condition.
Emma and Magnus went to the top of the tower, to the restaurant. They have a fine lunch there by the window side.
But then Emma asked something, "The view of the city is so amazing from here. Is there a place to stay the night on this tower? I would love to see the city lights."
