30: I'll do it!

SAM'S POV

"Mr. Del Fuero!" I shouted in alarm, trying to ignore the stinging sensation I felt in my head. I was about to touch him but I stopped when the water started to crawl down inside the car as it was starting to submerge to the bottom of the water, drenching us with the cold water.

The freezing coldness of water seems made me think clearly though my eyes still blurry with the hard impact. With clumsy move, I quickly unbuckle my seatbelt before the water would even fill up this car.

I have to get out of here no matter what!

I turned to him and reached him out but I frowned when he wasn't moving at all!

"M-Mr. Del Fuero???!!" I asked with shaky voice sabay yugyog rito.

But unfortunately, I received no response from him with his head just limply turned to his side and completely unconscious.

"Mr. Del Fuero! You shit! 'Wag na wag mo'kong tutulug-tulugan diyan! We're just about to escape from our death at may gana kapang matulog diyan! Wake up now you dimwit and get your sexy ass out of here!!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs sabay tampal sa mukha nito, wanted to wake him up with it. But to my utter disappointment, hindi parin ito kumikilos and not even shouted back at me. Probably he had hit his head pretty badly.

Now I know a granite head was still no good against the hard window of a car.

Pero kahit isigaw ko pa yon sa kanya, I still received no response from him. Making me more unease as the water started to finally fill in the car hanggang leeg namin.

Shit! Shit! Shit!

Without giving it another thought, I quickly unbuckled his seatbealt and then opened the door beside him with difficulty. With the water pressure keeping the door to be stuck, I really have to exert some extra force just to push the damn car door to open it.

And the moment I've opened the door, an iced-cold water greeted me, making me suddenly hold my breath underwater.

I get off of the car first before I tried to pull him out. With his large built, it was quite a task for me to get him off of that car but thankfully, I have done it after a few pull bago pa tuluyang lumubog ang sasakyan sa kinailaliman ng tubig.

Good thing I made sure to do some swimming session with Al before kaya naman hindi issue sa'kin to swim with some giant bastard in my side.

Tightly hugging him from his back, I quickly started to swim through our way upward.

Though the cold water started to numb my muscles, I just paid it no heed and just moved my limbs all through our way above, not wanted to lose against the cold.

I have survived from the fall kaya so this was just nothing.

Kahit na hirap na hirap pa'ko, I was able to get to resurface above but with ragged breathing. The surroundings was too dark. Too dark that I could only tightly hug him just to be sure na hindi ko ito naiwan sa ilalim ng tubig.

There was still no response came from him. This bastard! Imbes na tulungan nya'ko rito to save our butts, pinerwisyo pa talaga ako ng gago with him passing out!

Hissing out, I looked around me and narrowed my eyes habang pilit na inaaninag ang paligid to search for a possible escape route. Ang tanging naaaninag ko lamang was the blinking lights from a distance, probably lights from the buildings and houses. I turned to my left, and only found a shadow of some rock half submerge in the water.

Damn it! Sa lahat ba naman ng makikita ko, isang bato lang talaga? Kung siniswerte ka nga naman ano!

Disappointed with it, I looked up above us and found the same unfinished bridge where we had fell off with.

My limbs starting to get tired now and I can't keep floating here forever kaya kailangan na naming makaalis dito. A.S.A.P!

What to do, Sam?? What to do? Humanap ka ng paraan!

I kept on looking around me with short breath while trying to keep afloat.

Concentrate, Sam! This was just nothing compared to everything you've been to. You've even survived in a car accident and all, I'm sure you can still make it this time.

My mind reminded that as I kept searching for any possible way na makakatulong sa'min.

From my right, sobrang dilim lang at wala akong maaninag ng kahit na ano while the same rock I saw awhile ago was just approximately twenty meters away from my left. It wasn't that dark at that side dahil narin sa konting liwanag na nandoon. I have no idea what it was. I frowned nang mas dumami pa ang mga ilaw na' yon and then came an unfamiliar old christmas song.

My eyes slowly widened in surprised when I finally recognized what it was.

A yacht! A white yacht was coming to our way! A few people in warm clothing were at the deck with glasses in their hands. Obviously having a good time.

Seeing them, hope bloomed inside me as my eyes started to stung with tears, crying for the second time today.

Oh the hell I'd care about it. No one was here anyway and Mr. Del Fuero was still unconscious at the moment so I'm safe.

I'm safe to cry like a cry baby for now. Kahit na matagal ko ng gustong mawala sa mundong 'to, I didn't know that I'd feel scared at the thought of dying until now. Siguro nga, nawalan na'ko ng pag-asa kanina to even survive but I realized this isn't the right time to die and I have to survive no matter what which I did. I did and thanks to this bastard beside me. At the thought of him, I glanced at him. He was still out of conscious with a dark liquid on his temple

I frowned and out of curiosity, I touched it with my fingers. It has a metallic smell and felt sticky in my hand.

I gasped as realization hit me of what it was.

"Mr. Del Fuero!!!" Tarantang tawag ko rito sabay tapik sa mukha nito in a rather ungentle way but ufortunately, hindi pa rin ito gumigising and just stayed unresponsive.

Oh God! I thought he was just overreacting!

Swallowing hard, I quickly put my finger close to his nose at mas lalo pa'kong nataranta when his breathing was so slow and closed to nothing!

With my chest kept pounding like someone was pounding some drum inside, agad na'kong tumingin sa kaliwa ko and threw my free hand on air to wave at the approaching yacht.

"HELP! HELP US!!" I shouted while waving at them, waving while sniffing at the same time with tears started to roll down on my cheeks.

This shit! Sa lahat ba naman ng pagkakataon na mawawalan ito ng malay, ngayon pa talaga??

Though I wanted to smack him on his head in annoyance, naisip ko na lamang na ipagpaliban muna 'yon and just do it later.

"HELP US, PLEASE!!!! Help!!!" I kept shouting that while still waving at them though my limbs are getting numb the more I stayed in the water.

I can't stop now and let this water to kill us.

Wiping my tears, I waved more at them but to my utter disappointment, I received no positive response from them, na naririnig nila kami. Probably dahil medyo paos na yong tinig ko because of the cold and with the song blasting in the background.

'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Groaning, I desperately tried to find another way again.

Glancing from left to right in search of something that could be of any use as a help.

A water. Another water. And then another bloody water. Goddammit! Ba't puro tubig nalang ang nakikita ko rito??!!!

Out of frustration, wala na'kong ibang nagawa but cursed out just the thought that we couldn't be saved by those people in the yacht.

I suddenly halted with my thought when I felt something hard against my back.

My gun! I mentally exclaimed when I realized that with my eyes widened in excitement.

Yes! A gun indeed. I still have my gun with me and what would this thing could be a help in times like this??

The side of my lips slowly quirked up when an idea came to my mind.

Eh kung papuputukin ko kaya 'to? Hmmm.. Then I'm pretty sure I'd absolutely catch their attention.

I nodded in agreement at that before I hastily fished it out under my layer of cloths but I paused. I paused when my smart mind gave me an argument.

And what if it'll scare them instead?? e di tinakbuhan na nila kami or probably report us in the police? Hindi pa naman kami taga rito so I think....

Pass muna ako diyan. I don't want to get into prison dahil lang dun.

Blowing an exasperated sigh, I decided to just shout there til I lost my voice.

"HELP! Help us you all dimwits!!!"annoyed na tawag ko sa kanila, now losing my patience.

I stopped shouting when I heard some familiar tone chirping near me.

My ear pricked up when I heard that as my brows knitted in confusion as I tried to locate where it was.

A ringtone.

It was no doubt a ringtone! And a phone was definitely ringing right now!

The thought of a phone gives me new hope again.

Yes! A phone would definitely solve my problem and the only possible thing that could save us here.

Wait. Saan na nga ba ang phone ko??? With one hand, I searched for it inside my pocket under my drenched coat but to my disappointment, hindi ko mahagilap kung nasaan na 'yon.

Damn it! I think I've got the crown for being the most unfortunate specie today.

The ringing just continued, seems like it want me to pick it up. I quickly searched for it at Mr. Del Fuero's coat.

Agad ko ng kinapkapan 'yong mga bulsa nito but found nothing. I searched for it in his other pocket under his coat and I muttered a silent 'YES!' when I felt it against my hand.

May maitutulong din naman pala ang gagong 'to kahit walang malay.

Hastily, I took it out and then found Gloria's name registered on the screen.

This bitch! Dumadagdag pa sa kamalasan ko ngayon! Of all human beings! Ang babaeng 'to pa talaga!

With gritted teeth, I tapped the cancel button and then waved at the yacht coming to our way.

"HELP! HELP US, Please!!" I shouted while trying to wave the phone like how a fangirl waved at their idol.

I just continued doing that while hoping against hopes that they'd hear us.

"I think someone's callin' for help at that way!" Came a woman's voice with Canadian accent from the deck which make me sniffed again, sniffing in happiness.

I know I looked like a total mess right now but hell, I DON'T care! All I care about now was to get me---I mean us, off here and be saved!

I waved more at them while keeping the light from the phone to get their attention more.

The Christmas song then stopped playing and then the other people present at the deck looked at where the woman's hand pointing to.

"Look at that way!"

"Yes! It was indeed a man!"

I grunted when I heard that man's voice from the deck.

I'm a woman with no heart you dimwit!

"Tell the captain to turn on the emergency light! We're heading to that way!"

I was able to let out a relieve sigh when someone had shouted that.

Mga ilang sandali nga lang, the yacht had fortunately came to our way with a bright light atop of it and the moment they've spotted us, my hold at Mr. Del Fuero tightened.

Finally..

"Goodness! They're couple!"

I mentally scowled at that when a man had exclaimed that.

We're not! Couple my foot!

Though I'd like to correct that statement but I opted to just ignored that and just clarify that once given a chance to do so.

"Help them up, Brian! You too, Edison!" Barked by the woman with a bob haircut. Then two men quickly came forward then hoisted us up off the water. First, Mr. Del Fuero then followed by me. I quickly bid them my thanks nang makaahon na'ko mula sa tubig and into the yacht while shivering in cold.

"What happened? How d'you get in here?" Greeted by a blonde woman with curly hair, lips as tomato red and boobs that wanted to be let out with her fitted outfit kahit na nakasuot pa ito ng coat.

In one look, I can tell she's the kind that would claw some eyes out just to get what she want! In short, Gloria's twin!

Oh God. Another Gloria to handle with.

"And this----"her lips formed in an O form as her eyes widened in amazement the moment she'd took a close look at the unconscious bastard beside me.

"Holy jackpot! He's superbly hot! I think----"

"Shut up, Prizella! Let's get 'em be warmed first. They're shiv'rin' you moron!"

Agad itong sumimangot when bob-cut haired woman suggested that, glaring at her friend.

"Fine! I'll let you boss me around tonight. But just this one time, Amara!" Yamot na saad nito saka padabog ng lumayo sa'min, but not without sending a malicious gaze at Mr. Del fuero.

Then the woman with a name 'Amara' just rolled her eyes as she handed me a warm sheet and a smoking hot cup na hindi ko man lang napansing bitbit nito.

I quickly took it and muttered a thank you to her which she just answered with a nod.

"You better take your wet coat off, Miss. It'll help you lessen the cold." She advised after a few moment then looked at the unconscious bastard lying beside me.

"What happened to him? Is he okay?"

"He's fine." I replied with a nod then looked at him and to his still bleeding forehead.

"He just got a small gash on his forehead when he'd bumped....."I trailed off when I was about to divulge what exactly happened to us. I don't think it was necessary to let them know the exact details of it.

"I understand. You don't have to spill it out." She said with an understanding nod while still eyeing Mr. Del Fuero, as if she'd already got an idea what really had happened to us.

"Don't you think he needs some medication or any help to make sure----"

"Yes! Exactly! He needs an immediate CPR, Amara!"

My ear pricked up when red lipped Pritcels stupidly suggested that, kept opening her big mouth when she's not needed!

I sent a warning glare at her way while tightly gripping the hot cup with me, ready to splash the hot content at her thick face if she ever do any stupid act.

She do that then she'll have her face at risk. This woman must've want a hea-butt from me!

"Yes. That's what I thought as well, Amy. You better give him a CPR ----"

"No! I'll do it! I'll do it, Amara! I aced our rescue class before in highschool remember??? So it'd be better if I'll do it! "

My glare at her intensified when she'd boldly uttered that, cutting off whatever Brian had to say.

"I'm sure Mr. handsome here would agree with me to let me save him! And besides, I got'im first so I should be the one saving 'im! You---"

All heads were snapped to my way when I'd firmly uttered that, stopping all of them and making their brows knitted in confusions.

I must intervene them now before this bitch would do the stupid idea of saving Mr. Del Fuero's life. I'm pretty sure he'd rather sell Liam in Divisoria than let this woman kissed him!

Or will he, Sam? My mind sarcastically commented that making me mentally rolled my eyes.

Well, that's what I'm going to find out once he'd wake up.

"No??! What do you mean, girl?? This gorgeous man here needs my help and you're saying 'no'?? Have you gone out of your mind and---"

The other men beside her suddenly chuckled when I called her that name, causing her red lips pouted while glaring at them and then me.

Though I'd want to put a mousetrap on that rotten red lips of hers and let her know what her life would be if she ever mess up with me.

"Miss? What do you mean by that? What are you tryin' to say?"

"Just No." I firmly answered to Amara when she'd inquired that, giving her a tight smile and then to the other people present around.

"No because he doesn't need your help, Miss Pritcels. But I'm quite certain that he needs mine. So I'm gonna do it instead. I've done this CPR thing for my whole life so you acing your rescue class was just nothing compared to my real-life experience." I lied.

"No! You can't do that! I must be the one--"

"You've heard me right??? I said I'll do it!"

Her nostrils instantly flared out at that.
