83: Spicy Tea

Klein sighed.

He learned why he was having difficulty with creating new Divinities for himself... His affinity towards them was too low, and it would take a lot of effort and time for him to create them, he could get them instantly if he adapted to them by being attacked or affected by the Divinity he wants, but the attacker would lose their Divinity just like it happened to Erebus! And he doesn't want Persephone to lose her Divinity at all. Also, there was the fact that not only he had to have an affinity towards the Divinity, only copying what the Divine Energy does to try and get the Divinity was only half of the process.

He had to connect and understand the principle of the Divinity he was trying to get. If he would try to get the [War] Divinity, then he would probably get it faster than the [Nature] Divinity he is trying to get because he has been in a war before, he killed so many people in several gruesome ways. Why do you think he has the [Gruesome Death] Divinity? Also, the [Slaughter] and [Destruction] Divinity reflect what Klein was doing wrong all this time, being influenced by certain emotions that were amplified by his very [All Mighty Powers: Superior Adaptability] Inheritance that when he was finally free from it, he couldn't tell why he did some random things... Like that one time, he pulled the guts out of a soldier's body and used it to kill his friends... Or that one time he cut the limbs out of a guy and used his limbs to beat him to death...

Or that time- Okay! There were too many times, okay?

"Persephone... What is your Divinity?" Klein decided to ask Persephone herself because he might get some insight as well as information about her, she asked what his Divinity was and he answered it. She was shocked at first to know that such a wonderful person was capable of such destruction... "Oh? My Divinity is Spring." Every God or Goddess knows their Divinity like the back of their hand (Only those who know how to use Divine Energy), so Persephone answered him truthfully: "I also have Flowers and Vegetation as my Sub Divinities." Persephone smiled while watering a pouch of flowers which began to wiggle in delight to be taken care of by the Queen. "Why do you ask, if I may know the reason?"

Klein sighed and said: "It's about your son, Zagreus." Persephone's ears flickered. "Is he a God...? What would his Divinity be? I can sense his Divine Energy and he doesn't know how to use it, does he?" This was not a complete lie as Klein was certainly curious about the kid, he was very persistent! Maybe he is the God of Persistence? "Well... Considering he is Hades's son and my son, then there is the possibility of him having a Divinity Related to ours. Like he could have Shadows as his Divinity or even an aspect of Death. Or maybe he has a Blood Divinity or even Life Divinity." Klein nodded his head, he has been thinking about it, maybe if the kid knows how to use his Divinity, he can live a little longer out of the Underworld by using his Divine Energy as a substitute for his Lifeforce.

"Oh, Klein, do you want some of these fruits I've been collecting? We can make some fruit salad?" Persephone smiled at Klein, he smiled back, and soon both friends began to work together to prepare a great meal.

Meanwhile, Zagreus have a plan. He will find out if he is falling in love with that man or not! After he spoke to Hades, Nyx, and Achilles who congratulated him for falling in love even though he was not sure if he had really fallen in love or if it was just inflation of emotions like gratefulness or something like that. First things first, he needs to leave the Underworld so he can see them again, next he has to hold Klein's hand and look at him in the eyes. And that's it.

Great plan, right?

As he was going up, he didn't know that he had a nervous and excited expression on his face all the time, and of course, such expression was reported back to Lord Hades who was now curious as to why Zagreus was acting like that. Zagreus, stopped for just one second looking at the exit of the Underworld before sighing. 'Okay Zagreus, you can do it!' He encouraged himself several times before he stepped out of the Underworld and ran to Persephone's Hidden Garden, on the way his burning feet melted the snow and left footprints behind him, but he didn't care. He looked up to see the sun once again in the sky, he smiled and continued to move his feet... His hair was blown by the cold wind and he felt chills, he was sure this winter never-ending.

When he arrived at the Hidden Gardens of Persephone, he once again found it lacking the presence of his mother or Klein. He went to the back of the house only to find Persephone, as he first needed to make physical contact with Klein so he can stay in the Upperworld, he: "Mother, where is he?" Zagreus coughed a little bit of blood, he was tired. "He is at the river, my son," Persephone answered, but before she could say anything else, Zagreus darted towards the river. "He is bathing... Urgh, i think it will be fine." Persephone sighed and returned to weave a tapestry retailing her kidnapping in detail.

As Zagreus didn't hear his mother's warning, he rushed to the river to find Klein, inside the waters of the River Styx, taking a bath. His naked back could be seen by Zagreus, his eyes traced every muscle line and even scar Klein had, see Klein thought scars would make him hot! So he didn't let some of his injuries heal at a supernatural pace, and apparently, it works because Zagreus can't stop staring at Klein's naked back. He was having a hard time breathing already, and now that he saw this he really couldn't breathe... Klein moved his head to look at Zagreus and both made eye contact, Zagreus then was sure... He fell in love with this man.

Persephone took a sip of her new tea, one that Klein made himself, she hissed a little and smiled: "What a spicy tea..."
