A new friend?

Busy days flew by, strung together by routine into a monotonous ribbon. Together, Eve, Victor, Celina and Xia sold enough of not-vital possessions to rent together a three-room apartment—the best they could afford—and settled in.

With Eve spending most of her time in a lab, and with Victor constantly out on mysterious businesses of his, the place was almost constantly empty for Celina's and Xia's use. It was a much more pleasant arrangement than their life in Victor's cabin, though still as tight at times.

Hailett, as promised, gave his negative recommendations to the more influential employers of the Radiant Base. Thankfully, despite his actions, there were still enough people willing to pay for Celina's and Xia's talents.
