"Shock therapy is clearly needed here."
"What?" asked Hermione and Mr. Granger synchronously.
From memory and without a wand, I recreated the two contours of Somnus on just my senses, sending them to Hermione's parents. If Mrs. Granger just went limp in the chair, then Mr. Granger hit his forehead on the table - a reward for stubbornness.
"Max!"
"I just put them to sleep."
"I see that this is Somnus, but what about witchcraft? Oh, and these are my parents."
"The Trace stands on a wand and area. Works when your wand casts in the area of your Trace. There are also various modifications of the Trace, but this is not our case for sure. Shock therapy, Miona. I'll go put on my shoes."
"Oh... Why is it so complicated? What are you going to do?"
"You'll find out."
I quickly reached the hallway, put on my shoes, and went back into the kitchen with the shoes on.
"Get ready. We'll fly with the help of a portkey into the middle of nowhere."
"And why didn't I doubt it?"
The girl quickly left, judging by the sound, to the second floor, and five minutes later, she went downstairs in jeans and a yellow sweatshirt with a hood, heading into the corridor. Another ten seconds, and already in her sneakers, Hermione entered the kitchen.
I quickly and gently put Hermione's parents on the floor and stood between them, holding their hands.
"Take my hand and hold it tight."
Hermione immediately came up and gripped my left hand tightly.
"Portus," I activated the portkey, and we were quickly transported to the mountains in Scotland.
Open space, hills, forests, fresh air, and not a single living person around. The sun was leaning towards the horizon, but we were on the western side of the slope, so it was light, and everything was perfectly visible.
"Now what?"
"Like I said," shock therapy. And don't worry, I won't do anything to them.
I pulled the cane out of my pocket and took out the second wand without any Trace charm on it. I woke up Mr. and Mrs. Granger with a wave, and they abruptly got up, starting to look around.
"What the hell?" the father of the family indignantly looked at me.
"I put you to sleep and carried you into the backwoods. Now I can do anything without witnesses. Great, isn't it?"
"Daughter, what..."
I pointed my wand at Mr. Granger.
"Imperio."
A loud clap of the palm on the face forced me to turn towards the sound - exactly in this position Hermione was standing, shaking her head.
"What's going on?" asked a dazed Mrs. Granger, rising from the grass. A very extravagant appearance - a dressing gown and slippers in nature.
"Shock therapy."
"What about my husband?" she looked at him anxiously.
Mr. Granger didn't move, and his gaze was blank.
"The spell of submission. He completely obeys my will, and at the same time, sees, understands, and is aware of everything. Whatever order I give, he will obey."
Taking a handkerchief from my pocket, I transfigured it into a knife. Concern appeared in Mrs. Granger's eyes.
"Max ..." Hermione asked me pleadingly.
"Moody-therapy."
"It's too cruel."
I pointed my wand at Mrs. Granger.
"Impedimenta."
Having poured a decent amount of power into the slowing spell, I got an incredible slowing of movement. Movement, but not physiological reactions and speed of thinking.
I walked over to Mr. Granger and held the knife handle forward.
"Take a knife and put it gently to your wife's throat."
He followed the order without hesitation, and I saw shock and disbelief in Mrs. Granger's eyes. The inability to move, say or do anything added even more powerlessness and hopelessness. Cruel, but effective.
"See? Without any doubt. Of course, the spell can be dropped, but I do not see a single hesitation, so my will is stronger."
<You bet it is.>
"The wizard can force your loved one to cripple you, your daughter. Kill. What prevents him from giving you the order to behave as usual, and when Hermione comes home - shoot her? The wizard can make you do all this slowly so that relatives can see and burn out from torment and despair. Or maybe ... "
I looked at Mr. Granger.
"Put the knife to your throat. Gently."
Hermione's father immediately obeyed that order as well.
"A wizard can make you kill yourself. Do you understand? Right now, he doesn't care. He's in a state of happy obedience. Now imagine if, under such a spell, a man kills the people he cares about, and then, the wizard removes that spell, and the realization of his deed comes?"
I took the knife and removed all the spells from them.
