The Last Day of Internship

Min Yoongi POV,

Seoul, end of June 2019,

"Okay, that's all I want to say. Tomorrow morning we will leave for Osaka. There are several interviews that you have to do to promote your Japanese album before the concerts. And tonight after practice there will be a fitting with the stylist team", said Sejin, our manager

"Ye, hyung. So... can we leave now?", Jimin asked

"Ye. You have free time until this afternoon", said Sejin while looking at his watch

"Arasso. Gomawo hyung", said RM who immediately stood up

"What are you guys going to do? Does anyone want to go have coffee with me?", Jin asked the members

"Kajja!", answered Jhope standing up from his seat

"Do you want to come, Suga?", Jin asked me

"Ani, hyung. I want to do something in my studio", I answered looking at him

"Jemenshi? Taehyung~aah? How about you guys?", asked Jhope

"Ani. We will also meet Tokki hyung to discuss something", replied V

"Arasso. Jekeeeeyy~ , are you coming?", asked Jhope with a big smile on his face

"Ani ani. He's going to do something with RM at RKive", replied Jin

"Arasso. So it's just the two of us? Okay, Kajja hyung", asked Jhope to Jin

Well, we just finished discussing our schedule for July with Sejin. We will spend our time in Japan for concerts and handshake events, and will return to Seoul on July 20th.

One by one the members left the room to continue their activities. RM and JK will be working on a new song at Rkive (Namjoon's studio). Jimin and V are going to meet Slow Rabbit, one of our producers. And Jhope and Jin are going to have coffee.

Meanwhile, I plan to finish one of the songs for my second mixtape. I want my mixtape to be released as soon as possible this year because it's been 3 years I haven't released my solo work yet.

I walked out of the meeting room towards the elevator. I turned my head towards the stylist's room. I can heard some chatter and laughter from the wide open door. I lifted my neck higher, looking for Sofia's whereabouts.

"That's her", I muttered with a small smile looking at the red-haired woman who was busy chatting while laughing with her team members.

I haven't been home in almost 2 weeks. I'm very busy practicing for Muster and also finishing our Japanese album which will be released next month. Even though we always met at the office or during events, it was not enough for me.

I can only look at her and talk to her about work. Though I really want to be more intimate, hold her hand and even want to kiss her.

"Ah, I'm going crazy", I mumbled as I entered the elevator and glanced at Sofia before the elevator doors closed

It's hard to steal the time to meet her without other people knowing. She is always surrounded by her team and so am I.

I walked limply along the hallway on the 7th floor. Today was Sofia's last day of internship at Bighit. And from tomorrow she won't accompany us on tour anymore. What should I do? I will be far apart from her. This thought has been running through my head for the past week.

I stopped at a glass door with 'Genius Lab' displayed on it and entered the password on the handle.

"Oooh, I'm so sleepy...", I said while yawning and ruffling my hair

Then I sat down at my computer desk, put on my headphones and started opening the files for the songs I was about to work on. I wrote a few lines of lyrics while adjusting them to the rhythm.

I was so immersed in my work that I didn't realize that there were several calls coming into my cell phone.

* dingdong

I frowned and took off my headphones to see if someone really pressed my studio bell.

The bell rang again. I immediately got up from the chair and opened the door of the Genius Lab.

"Yeah?", I said as I opened the door

"Yoongi~aah, sorry to bother you. Umm, there is someone who wants to meet you. She said she is your grandmother", said Sejin with a doubtful face

"My grandmother?", I asked, frowning

"Ye. Here's her business card", said Sejin handing a white business card to my hand

"Han Sanhee…", I muttered. "Aah, ne. She's my family, hyung", I said nervously

"Jinjja?", asked Sejin

"Ye. Where is she? I'll meet her", I said as I left the studio and closed the door

"She's there," Sejin replied, pointing to a room that we usually use when doing Vlive

"Arasso. Gomawo hyung", I said patting his shoulder and walked towards the small room in front of Jhope's studio

I wonder why Grandma Han visited me here? Is there something important?, I thought.

"Annyeong, halmoeni, Uncle Lee...", I said as I entered the room and bowed at them

"Annyeong, Yoongi~aah. Sorry I came to visit you all of a sudden", said grandma with a sorry face

"Ah, gwaenchana. Did halmoeni come to see Sofia?", I asked when I sat opposite her

"Ani. I came to see you", she replied

"Oh, arasso", I said nodding my head

"Lee, please leave us for a while. I want to talk to Yoongi in private ," Grandma said to uncle Lee

"Ye, madam", said uncle Lee and left the room

"What's the matter halmoeni?", I asked

"Yoongi~aah, I want to apologize to you for what I said that time", said Grandma with a tired face

"Ah, ani. Gwaenchana halmoni, I forgot about it", I replied smiling at her

"I'm very sorry for what I said to you and Sofia. I know I've crossed the line. I shouldn't have said that .... please forgive me", said Grandma full of regret and lowered her face in front of me

"Halmoeni, jinjja, gwaenchana", I reassured her

"I had very mixed feelings at that time. And when Sofia said that you were going home early, I was very guilty. You took the time to visit me but I messed everything up. Please forgive me...", said Grandma with teary eyes

"Halmoeni, never mind. We have forgotten about it", I said to her and sat beside her

"I'm really selfish, I only care about me and my feelings. Even though I promised myself to listen to you and your opinions on this matter, but I actually did the opposite," she said holding back tears

"Halmoeni, I'm also sorry that Sofia said something that might hurt your feelings. We can definitely talk about this another time", I said

"Ye. I hope we can talk about this later", she said

"Have you contacted Sofia?", I asked

"Yes, I have ... I apologized to her too. But I think she is still a little angry at me ...", she said while wiping her tears

"I'm sure Sofia has forgiven you, halmoeni", I said smiling while handing her a tissue

"Ye ... I hope so," she said with a sigh. "Please come to Busan when you have free time. I will accompany you around the city and do fun activities", said grandma again

"Ye, halmoeni", I replied smiling at her

"Yoongi~aah, you know that Sofia respects you very much, don't you? She will definitely listen to everything you say if you ask her. I want you to talk about the Han family heir and ask her to consider this. I won't force you to take over the company immediately. I just want you to agree to be my heir so that I can put your names in my will", Grandma said quietly

"Halmoeni, why do you really want to make us your heirs? To be honest Sofia and I don't understand the business that you're running. I'm afraid we will ruin your business, Halmoeni ", I said

"Why do I really want Sofia and you to be my heir? ...Because you are the only family I have right now. My late husband said in his will that if none of our family members are willing to be the heirs of the company, then we will give all the shares we have to the board of directors. In other words, we have to let this company become someone else's," she said in a trembling voice.

I furrowed my brow.

"My husband and I built this company from scratch, Yoongi~aah. We want to be able to give something to our grandchildren in the future. We work day and night to raise this company. Do you think I will let it become someone else's?. Just like you Yoongi~aah, if music is your life, then this company is my life", she stuttered

"You don't have to be directly involved in managing this company, there are directors who will help you, so you don't have to worry...", said Grandma, smiling weakly at me

I sighed and stared at the wall in front of me. I don't know what to say.

"Please talk about this with Sofia... I will support your dreams and let you doing something you love. I just want this company to remain the property of the Han family. That's all...", she said while squeezing my hand

"Ye, halmoeni. I will discuss it with Sofia", I said

"Thank you... you're such a nice man, Yoongi~aah, how lucky Sofia is to have you", Grandma Han smiled at me

"Uh, I'm not that good, halmoeni ..", I answered shyly

"Yes you are .... okay, I have to go now, sorry for interrupting your time", said Grandma

"Ani. I happen to have free time, halmoni. Gwaenchana", I said standing up

"I'm going back to Busan tonight. Don't hesitate to call me if you need help, Yoongi~aah. Take care of your health, and please take care of Sofia for me ....", said grandma after we were in front of the door

"Ye, halmoeni. Take care of your health too", I said hugging her

I waved my hand as Grandma and Uncle Lee walked towards the elevator. Then I went back to my studio and plopped down on the couch. My head is so full right now. I don't know what to do, should I convince Sofia to accept her grandmother's offer or not? .

"Aaarrgghhh!", I growled in frustration while rubbing my face

I'm going to close my eyes for a bit, because my head hurts a little. I hope I can think clearly again after sleeping for a while, I thought.

5 hours later....

"Okay, that's enough for today", said our choreography coach

Me and the other members immediately fell to the floor gasping for air. We've been practicing for 4 hours straight without resting.

"I'm so hungry ...", muttered V

"'m so tired...", Jin said breathlessly beside me

"Gwaenchana, hyung?", I asked turning to him

"Yeah. I guess in a few years my body won't be strong enough to dance anymore", he said

"Haha you're really old, hyung", I chuckled

"Aish, you! ...", Jin protested

"Jungkook~aah please get me a drink", I shouted at JK who was drinking his drink near me

"It's your drink, hyung", he said while throwing a bottle of water at me

"Gomawo" I said, then sat down and drank in a few gulps

"Annyeong!", came a greeting from the entrance

"Noona! Do we have to fit the costume now? But, we're still sweating", said Jhope shrugging

"Gwaenchana, we still have some clothes to prepare. Take a rest ..." replied Kim Raim smiling at Jhope

Then we slowly approached where we put our bags, undressed and dried our bodies with the towels that Sejin had provided.

"Hyung, what are we eating tonight?", asked V to Sejin

"I have reserved a place at the barbeque restaurant for dinner", replied Sejin

"Wow, I'm getting hungry thinking about eating meat, daebak!", said Jin while pointing his thumbs at Sejin

Then the others joined in on the conversation about dinner. Jimin was telling a funny experience he had with Tae when he ate at a restaurant near our apartment. Everyone laughed at his story, but I was too busy watching the stylists pass through the practice room to not hear the whole story from Jimin.

Where is she?, I thought. My eyes continued to scan the entrance hoping to see Sofia.

"Yorobun, we're ready...", Raim said to us

"Ne!", replied RM who was still chuckling because of Jimin's story earlier

"Kajja!", said JK pulling Jin to his feet

I sighed, and slowly approached the stylists.

"Hyung, is Sofia home yet?", I asked Juyoung

"Huh? Sofia? ...", he said confused while looking at his team members. "Aahh, she'll be here in a minute. She's downstairs to get something", Juyoung replied with a warm smile on his face

"Oh, arasso", I said nodding while receiving clothes from him

"Who?", asked Jhope curiously

"The intern ...", I answered slowly

"Intern? Sofia ssi? I heard today is her last day, is it true, noona?", asked Jhope to Youra

"Yes. Today is her last day. Time flies so fast, I can't believe it's been six months since she joined us", said Youra with a sad face

"Huh? Sofia noona resigned?", asked JK surprised

"She's not, but her internship has ended", Tae replied

"Oh, can't it be extended?", asked JK with an innocent face

"Ani. She still has to continue her studies and report her projects to the university. I also miss her. Maybe I'll ask Gyejang nim to recruit her again after she graduates," said Haewon with a sad face

"Annyeong!", Sofia's cheerful voice came from the entrance right after Haewon finished her sentence

"Sofia ssi! Why did you leave us?", Jimin shouted over to her

"Huh??", Sofia said surprised

"What is that? Food??", asked Jin looking at Sofia's hands

She carried 6 large brown paperbags in both hands. She and Jimin then took the paperbag to the center of the room and placed them on the floor.

"I bought something for you guys!", she said with a big smile

"Is this a farewell party?", Tae asked, frowning

"Ani. I just wanted to treat you guys with corndogs. Well, I know it's just a simple snack, but this is a thank you to all of you for helping me a lot during my internship here", Sofia said as she took out boxes of corndogs from the paper bags

"Noona, let's hurry. I want to eat..." JK said impatiently to Raim who was helping him to get dressed

I smiled seeing him. Hastily finished my fitting and immediately ran over to Sofia.

"Woaah Sofia ssi, daebak!! Can I try it?", I said after sitting beside her

"Yeah, sure! I ordered a lot of corndogs so we can eat together", she said blushing at me

"Gomawo" I said as I took a corndog and took a bite

"Me too! I want it too!!", shouted Tae approaching us

"Sofia ssi, gomawo! But I'm sad you won't be working with us anymore ... but thank you for your help", Jimin said pouting as he chewed the corndog in his hand

"I'm very happy to be working with you guys, I should be the one thanking you", Sofia answered cheerfully

One by one the members sat around the food that Sofia brought, then the stylists also joined us. We ate while joking and talking about various things.

I looked at Sofia who was busy chatting with Jimin, Tae and Jhope in the distance. I wish I could have a chat like that with her too. I will definitely miss her, I thought.

For fifteen minutes we ate and chatted until finally Sejin asked us to leave. He gave us fifteen more minutes to get ready. The members and stylists one by one finally left the practice room.

I purposely lingered so I could talk to Sofia, but Tae and Jimin don't seem to want to let her go. They were still chatting and even laughing. Annoyed, I finally left the practice room and returned to the Genius lab.

I bit my fingernails in annoyance. Why is it so hard to talk to my wife?, I thought. I know that Tae and Jimin are close friends with her, but why does seeing them get along like that makes me so upset?! Wait, no, I'm not upset, but I'm jealous!

I exited the genius lab and went back down to the 6th floor, where the practice room was. I walked briskly down the hall and opened the door to practice room number 4 with a bang.

"Omo!", Sofia screamed in surprise looking at me

I looked around the practice room and was relieved that no one was here except Sofia. She seemed to be tidying up some of the clothes left behind. Her eyes looked wary at me who slowly locked the door behind me.

"Yeobo? What's wrong? Is there anything left?", she asked confused while looking around the room looking for something

"Ne. I left something here", I replied as I walked over to her slowly

"Huh? What's that? I just cleaned the room, but didn't find anything", she said while carrying clothes in one hand, preparing to leave the room

"Are you sure?", I asked smirking

"Ye. Yeobo, what's wrong?", she asked getting nervous to find me getting closer to her

"I left my wife here because she seemed so busy chatting with her boy friends that she ignored me ...", I said with an extended tone

"What? You ..., wait! Are you jealous?", she asked with a small laugh

"Jinja? Do I look jealous now?", I asked softly when I was right in front of her

"Well, I don't know... I think my husband is not a man who gets jealous easily", she teased me

"Are you sure?", I whispered

"Ummm, ye...", she answered smiling at me

"Aigooo Han Sobi~aah... you're too confident", I chuckled one step closer to her until our bodies almost touched

"Jinjja? So... am I wrong?", she said quietly

"You have to find out for yourself if you want to know the answer..." I whispered as I lowered my face to be closer to hers

"How?...", she whispered

Her eyes kept moving from mine to my lips.

"You talk too much Sobi ...", I mumbled staring at her lips that parted in front of me. "Can I kiss you now?", I whispered

I didn't wait for the answer, I immediately put my lips to her. Oh my God, I miss her so much. I'd been holding back for weeks from kissing her like this. And I think she feels the same way as me.

Our kiss was more passionate than our previous kisses. A little sloppy to immediately vent all the longing that we feel.

The clothes in Sofia's hands fell from her grip and she immediately wrapped her arms around my neck. My hands were busy touching, caressing, and squeezing her body.

Sofia's body clung tightly to mine, sending shocking stings all over me.

"Bogo Sippoyo (I miss you), yeobo!", she moaned between kisses

"Nado! Nado (me too) Sobi... I always imagined I could kiss you like this every night until I felt like I was going crazy", I whispered while panting

I picked her up and sat her on a table in the corner without breaking our kiss. I caressed her face and neck. Sofia wrapped her legs around my waist, locking me from moving away from her.

My mouth slowly moved to her neck. The sweet orange scent wafted through and made me cling to her body even tighter. My mouth moved wildly around her neck, kissing, licking and sucking voraciously.

A moan came from Sofia's mouth as I gently bit her earlobe. My hand slowly slipped under her shirt, touching her back in a circular motion. I felt her tremble under my touch.

* knock knock

"Is there anyone inside?!", someone's voice came from behind the door

We froze, not moving an inch.

* knock knock

He knocked again. I removed my kiss from Sofia's neck and stared at Sofia who was wide-eyed. I put my index finger to my lips and asked her not to make a sound.

Then someone's trying to turn the doorknob impatiently.

"It seems empty", the voice heard again from behind the door

We still didn't move, afraid that at any moment the person would find out that we're inside.

Footsteps were heard walking away from where we were, until finally footsteps was completely gone.

Sofia breathed a sigh of relief and rested her head on my shoulder.

"Aigo...", I muttered with a sigh

I feel my heart beating very fast. Then Sofia lifted her face and giggled at me.

"Wae?", I whispered raising my eyebrows

"So funny... gosh... we almost got caught...", she said laughing

"Do you think it's funny? Jinjja?", I said in disbelief. "Fortunately I locked the door earlier... aigo", I said chuckling

"Yeah we're lucky ...", said Sofia still chuckling

I smiled at her who was still giggling in front of me, her eyes were shining, her face was red, her hair was messy, her clothes were wrinkled and her lips were swollen with lipstick stains.

"You're so beautiful", I said while giving a light peck on her lips

"Huh? Jinjja", she said while tidying her clothes nervously

Then suddenly Sofia took her legs off my waist and looked down in shame. I immediately pulled myself away from her when I saw a part of me woke up from our hot kiss earlier.

"Mianhae", I said while awkwardly covering my pants with the jacket I was wearing.

"Gwaenchana...", answered Sofia blushing

* ringring

What now?, I thought. I reached into my pants pocket and pulled out my phone.

"Yeoboseyo?", I said while clearing my throat

"Yoongi~aah, where are you? We'll be leaving in a minute", Sejin's voice came from across the phone

"Oh, I... uh, I'm on the toilet, hyung. I'll catch up in a minute", I stammered

"Arasso. We'll be waiting for you in the basement", he said before hanging up the phone

I sighed and looked at Sofia.

"Do you have to go now?", she asked

"Ye. We will have dinner before heading back home. Are you going home too?", I asked approaching her while rubbing the back of my head

"Ani. I'll have dinner and some drinks with my team later", she replied while biting her lip

"Arasso. I think I'll miss you, Sobi. I'll just be back in Seoul in the middle of next month", I said stroking her hair affectionately

"I'll miss you too... I'll be waiting for you", she said looking at me

"I'll call you later ... don't forget to always text me", I said hugging her tightly, inhaling the sweet orange scent that wafted from her body

"Ne", she answered

"I have to go now. Take care of yourself, Sobi", I said

Then I kissed her gently. A kiss that was the complete opposite of our previous kiss.

When I broke my kiss, I smile at her and reluctantly walked out of the room. I still want to be with her, want to spend my nights with her.

While in the elevator, I chuckled again remembering what had just happened. We almost get caught !! ... I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't locked the door, I thought shaking my head.

"Sleepless nights I thought they were myths

But they weren't and again we get stronger
