Xin Wei speeds up the rooftop while behind him is Xiao Rin who holds on tightly as the speed they are going is truly very fast.

Soon the two arrive in a tall building. This building was one a trading building of the city and is around 10 stories tall, which is one of the tallest buildings in the outer part of the city.

However, ever since the rise of the syndicate it was abandoned and many even died because of the fighting in this place.

Shin Jiao could tell that the building is occupied and there are many armed men inside. He decided to go to the roof to see if those people chasing after them would try to force their way into the building.

As the two landed, they did not see any people on the rooftop. Then Xin Wei noticed the collapse entryway to the roof.

"We should be safe in this place, right?" Xiao Rin asked with a hint of worry in her eyes.

"I'm not sure, but just in case. Here, take this…" Xin Wei gave her a handgun with a laser pointer attached to it.

"With this, you can easily hit your targets without relying on the sight…"

After saying that, Xin Wei suddenly jumped from the ledge and disappears through the night.

After around 30 minutes, a revving vehicle suddenly came into the entrance of the tall building. The armed men and six Hunters came down from the truck. From one look one could tell that these Hunters are well equipped.

"It seems that the Hunters from before are joined by another group and decided to hunt us instead. This is good; at least the girls would be safe for now. I need to eliminate these pesky bugs… I would just have to find out how they were able to track those girls… I mean, I'm sure they are part of the refugees, right?" I thought as I watch what is happening on the ground.

I could tell that these people are serious and judging from their equipment they truly wanted to either capture or eliminate. The lives of the people in their sight are in their control.

I soon heard some commotion on the ground as a man wearing camouflage walks out of the building.

"What are the hunters of the Hallowed Leaf doing in our territory? This is a violation of the treaty, if you do not back away now, we won't be polite!" the man in camouflage said with an angry look on his face.

This made the short man in black that made him looks like a special ops soldier suddenly take a step forward.

"You trashes from the Oslong Syndicate should not stand in our way. If not for your master being a powerful person, you guys would have already died a long time ago for your insolence." The man said as he proudly glared at the camouflage man.

"Hahaha… A barking dog of the Hallowed Leaf is still a dog. Back away now and we won't have any problem…"

The tension between these two groups has already increased and it made me smile.

"Wait… Don't fight, we are chasing after some dangerous people. According to our satellite input, that person is in this building. We would appreciate it that you cooperate with us." a tall man with two swords on his back interrupted.

The two groups suddenly look at each other, but the camouflage man seems that he did not believe this. So he just shakes his head and sneers at the group.

"You guys have already done the same thing before. You've raided our bases giving the same excuse. Do you think we are dumb enough to believe you? Since our boss's power has improved, we are not afraid of you people now. If our boss knew about this incident, let's see if the Black Serpent base could still stand tall when he attacks it."

With the warning from the man wearing camouflage, everyone in the Hunter team turned silent. However, this silence did not take long. One of the hunters suddenly draws his weapon which is really fast that everyone did not expect him to do it.

Bang!

The gunshot echoed and everyone was shocked. The man in camouflage suddenly turned pale as the bullet was lodged in-between his feet. Then as if by reaction, he suddenly recovers and jumps to the side.

This was the signal for the firefight.

Bang! Bang! Bratatat!

The sound of rapid gunfire echoed through the air as two groups clashed one against another.

However, in the middle of this firefight, the man who drew his handgun a while ago just stood there rooted on the ground. Blood could be seen dripping from his shoulder as a piece of sharp metal is a lodge on it.

Everything happened so fast that he did not even see who attacked him. But it seems that the attack did not aim to kill him but to make him miss.

He tried to look for the direction where the attack came from, but he could not detect anyone. Suddenly, something bit his other arms and his body was suddenly thrown to the ground.

Arrgghh!!!

This time, he could feel the pain in his both arms as he could not move them anymore.

"Hey, Quan is down!…" shouted one of the hunters.

They wanted to rescue the man named Quan, but it was too late. Before they knew it a bullet suddenly enters Quan's forehead and broke his skull apart when it exited at the back of his head exploding his blood and brain matters everywhere.

This scene made every one of the Hunters turned serious and angry.

"Sniper! Above!" everyone shouted as they hid behind the truck and the ruined buildings nearby.

But they are already surrounded by the enemy, so the battle became bloodier as armed men one after another began falling to the ground.

Meanwhile, those hiding inside the buildings have also suffered casualties because their opponents are using high-tech thermal gadgets and they are being picked one by one.

While the gunfight is happening, I suddenly turn around and decided to experiment on the thermal goggles' ability to detect heat.

I carefully control the Qi in my body and slowly envelop my body with a slightly cold Qi. Then I soon discover that the thermal effect began to lose its sight of my body temperature.

My sigh falls on the man which seems to be the leader of the group. I quickly and sneakily approach. However, the rain of bullets is hard to ignore. So I did not have a choice but to eliminate a number of the people from the buildings.

These are not good people anyway and are a bunch of scumbags like their opponent.

When trapped between two scumbags, which one would you choose? Of course none of them. It is better to illuminate both for the betterment of humanity. Hehehe…

I then crawled through the walls and use the protruding metal wire to attack those people inside the buildings.

When the number of enemies lessens and the rain of bullets is not that dense anymore, I quickly jump towards the side of the truck.

Without hesitation, I lifted the rifle on my side and began to shoot everyone below me.

It was as if they were all taken aback, but two of them were able to activate their power and were able to block my bullets.

Upon seeing this, I could only look in amazement.

It's no wonder they are picked as Hunters, they truly have good ability and fighting prowess.

As I landed, I send a quick chop behind the neck of the short guy. He tried to block my strike but he was too slow in my eyes.

My hand shifted and instead hit the side of his neck making him faint.

I then grab the back of his bulletproof vest and drag him away from the group which suddenly began shooting at me.

Though their bullets were fast, their reaction is not fast enough. I was able to nab their boss in front of their eyes as I showed a faint smile on my face.

I may be invisible thermal in their thermal view, but I still could be seen with their night vision. But all of that is useless as I easily captured their leader which they were calling as captain.

Before escaping, I left the group hiding beside the truck and those in the building some parting gift.

Ka-Boom!!!
