Baroque Works

After being carried around by the villagers towards their base, they finally reached where their leaders were. The villagers were expecting a heavy reward since they caught someone big this time around. And they were not disappointed because they were rewarded by the two leaders with a lot of money and they all used it for their own needs like their businesses on the island. Mr. 9 and Ms. Monday just threw Alex's group inside of the prison and left them there as they would be killing them in a while. Alex and his group woke up and saw three people in the cell they were in and were curious as to who they were especially the girl who had a very long neck. "Are you all okay? Why are you all here?" asked Petronia as she was curious and has a soft spot for people who are captured and are treated like slaves since she was one and experienced all the hardships that came with it. But she did not expect that the woman from the three people would flinch and move far away from them while shouting "Get away from us! You already took everything from us!" Petronia and the crew were shocked at what they heard and Petronia immediately said "We mean no harm to you, we were also drugged and captured by them. We also want to break out of here and get revenge on the people who did this to us."

Seeing as Alex's group meant no harm, the group calmed down and said "We apologize for our behavior as we were just cautious that you were like the people outside. My name is Dante and this is my wife Katarina and the girl over there is Cierra. My wife and I were wandering musicians and we were on a ship performing when we were captured by pirates. We also saw Cierra on the ship we were captured in and befriended her as we were the only ones there. The first few days she was quiet but in the following days, she talked to us although only a few words but she still did. We were becoming close with each other and talking about where we all came from. She said she was from the Snake Neck tribe and she was captured while she was traveling. Now we are just waiting for them to kill us since we have no value to them as we don't want to kill people even if they are pirates." concluded Dante as the group listened to their story.

The crew was surprised at their story and were saddened since the couple just wanted to travel with each other and sing together but pirates ruined their adventure together. The crew asked because they were curious about something "Why are you not scared of us? We are pirates and technically, pirates are the ones who were the cause of your suffering right now." the couple just smiled and Katarina replied "We don't judge people based on what they are really. You might be a pirate but we think that you people are good people. Well, if you all kill us right now, then you could say that we are just a bad judge of a person's character." Alex and his crew just smiled after hearing this and after a while, Alex said "We will protect you three and break you all out of here so that you could all continue your adventures." the couple nodded happily but Cierra didn't respond. Alex noticed this but didn't mind it since she was still a bit wary of them. It would just be a matter of time when she will talk to them.

After a few moments, a guard comes up to them and says, "The leaders want to see your captain." Alex nods and gets up and follows the guards to their leader because he was also curious as to how strong their supposed leader really is. 'Maybe they're not strong enough and I could take care of them quickly.' thought Alex as he was walking towards a room with a big door. The guard knocks three times and the door opens as Alex saw two figures that were sitting on two chairs. One was a very muscular person while the other was just average as he really couldn't see what was special about the other person. Seeing as they won't speak, Alex speaks to the muscular person and says "If I may ask, who might you people be good sir?" the temperature of the room just dropped by a ton as Alex didn't know why that was happening, but then he heard the muscular person shouting "I am a woman! Are you blind?! I should just kill you where you stand right now!" but the guy who was beside the woman quickly calmed her down while saying "Don't mind him Ms. Monday, he was just confused because of the side effects of the drug." the woman named Ms. Monday quickly calmed down and said "Alright, I will let this slide this one time, but next time I will really kill him like how I killed the last one." the guy gets a shiver down his spine remembering how she ripped apart the last guys who called her a man.

After calming down Ms. Monday, the guy introduced himself "We have heard a lot about you, Asura Hands Alex. I am Mr. 9 and the one beside me is Ms. Monday." Alex smiled and knew who they were based on their name since he heard rumors about this organization but he doesn't know who their leader is. Alex replies after their introduction "Well I didn't know that this island's true leader would be a part of Baroque Works." before he could continue any further, Mr. 9 and Ms. Monday were surprised that he knew what organization they were a part of and quickly told the guards to apprehend him. Alex just remained calm and got out of his cuffs and knocked out all of the guards without any effort and told the two with a smile "Now that was very rude of you to attack me when I wasn't finished talking. Now that the distractions are gone, let's start over shall we?"
