Patel's eyes fluttered open before she closed them again. She noticed that she was laying on a soft bed and covered with a blanket.

How did I get here? She asked herself.

Her body was too heavy and it was hard to move or even lift her hand. She opened her eyes again and turned to look at her side. She was in a room, But whose bedroom?.

Suddenly the memories of the two passing days started to play in her mind. She remembered being carried to this place, But she doesn't remember what happened after that.

Patel pushed her body and sit up, She flinched when she felt a slight sting on her thigh, She removed the blanket and pushed the nightgown that she was wearing to check her wound, It was already banged and cleaned, She tried to move her leg and noticed that it was less painful when she moved it.

She slowly got off the bed placing her feet on the carpet floor feeling the softness of it under her feet. She stood and took a step forward and felt a slight sting from the wound but it wasn't too strong to stop her from walking.

Patel walked forehead as she looked around the room. It was big in space she noticed. She saw another door attached to the room and she thought that this must be the bathroom. She walked towards the door and opened it before she entered.

After using the bathroom and freshening up, She stepped out and closed the door behind her. Patel walked towards the window and pulled the curtain open and looked outside, But she immediately took a step back when saw that man sitting in the garden. She pulled the curtains close and stepped away from the window.

Patel walked back towards the bed and sat down, Waiting, She was hungry, But she was scared of stepping outside the room. This please isn't her home.

Remembering her home, Patel felt like crying. She wanted to go back to her mother and just throw herself in her warm embrace and forget about everything that happened. She wondered when Jacob would come back and take from this place. Everyone was a stranger to her and she didn't know that she was welcome here.

...

"Is the soup ready?" Lana asked as she entered the kitchen.

"Yes, Ma'am, Everything is ready." The maid replied, holding the tray in her hands.

"Follow me then." Lana ordered the maid.

Once Lana reached the third floor, She opened the door to Patel's room and found her already awake. She stepped inside the room and the maid followed her.

Lana smiled at the girl who was looking at her with eyes. She didn't blame her. After all, What she has been through in the past days, It won't be easy to forget.
