First Things First

I pulled Livia onto my lap to have a her close to me. After the banquet incident I can't lie and say I wasn't a little shaken up. The fear of possible losing my Queen struck a nerve in me. She must have noticed my discomforted, because she cupped my face and whispered, "Relax I'm here and I'm not going anywhere."

I closed my eyes melting into her embrace "I know, but I still can't help but to worry about your safety."

She chuckled "You and I both know I can take care of myself."

A hugged her waist "Yeah I know. You hungry?"

She shrugged her shoulders "I can eat."

Without another word I dialed for the head maiden. Not to long afterwards Mariah walked in and bowed slightly "How can I be of service to you sir?"

I looked at her and calmly said "Mariah can you please bring in some refreshments and get dinner ready a little early tonight."

She nodded her head "Yes sir, would you like for dinner to be served here?"
