Convincing The Rank 2 Ape King

After Kameron had killed the silver ape, he used his control of the fire element to cook and eat some rabbit meat he had traded for after the first day he had hunted in the forest alone.

Chewing with his mouth closed, Kameron continued his conversation with Ina while watching his surroundings.

"I have a lot of possible summons Ina, it's hard to pick just one every week."

(Just summon whoever you feel is best to help you with your current situation. Over time you will have many summons who will be able to help you) Ari said before falling silent within Kameron's mind.

"Time goes by so slowly yet so fast at the same time," Kameron said as he looked at the cooldown of his summoning skill. Currently, he had less than 3 days before he was able to summon someone else. He still had time to think of who to summon but he was only limited to 5 people as a rank 1 existence.

...

As Kameron explored the inner forest, he wondered about his current goals. First and foremost he wanted to be at least rank 2 before he used his dungeon. As long as he put it in an inconspicuous spot he would be able to hide its existence as long as he controlled how many people went to it at a time. If possible he would like to level up inside of the dungeon, he was able to gain experience from the dungeon-like anyone else, even if he was the dungeon master. So long as he plays his cards right he can be a rank 3 existence in a few weeks and start on some modernization plans.

He also wondered if he should get some summons that are good at farming. If he could summon people that had skills related to harvesting and maintaining or enriching the soil condition that would probably boost the amount of food they created. Then along with the other resources they would later trade, the village would be able to bring massive profit.

As Kameron walked around killing and trying to communicate with the silver apes and tempest wolves, who in turn only shouted "demon!" at him as they attacked, he pulled up the information on his dungeon item again. He knew that the monsters inside would most likely drop monster crystals as in every other game-type monster dungeon. These crystals are probably rare than a monster core even though they are almost the same thing.

Anyways, Kameron was getting a bit tired after an hour of constant fighting to instead of killing more silver apes, he decided to take them captive. Standing in a fairly open spot in the forest, Kameron leaned against the trunk of a thick tree while beside him, almost a dozen silver apes were laying on the ground with their tendons cut so they were unable to move. Waiting patiently against the tree, Kameron was surprised when he heard a thunderous shout from in front of him.

"IS THAT HIM?!" The voice said as Kameron focused his attention on its location.

Standing bipedal on a thick tree branch, a taller and bigger than average silver ape was looking at Kameron what would only be described as a furious expression.

looking over at the dozens of silver apes that made noises while pointing at Kameron, the larger ape jumped down to the ground a few meters away from him.

"Damn Demon! I will crush you and avenge my brothers!" the silver ape said as he clenched his fists.

"Woah Woah Woah! Why do you think I am a demon? I am simply part dragon!" Kameron replied as he stood up straight, staring back at the silver ape.

"Lies! Dragons have long since disappeared from this world, only being a demon can explain your look." The silver ape said as he took a few steps towards Kameron.

"I guess I won't try convincing him then..." Kameron thought as he pulled out his inferno sword and prepared for battle while inspecting his new opponent.

"Ina, what are my chances of winning with fire manipulation?" Damian asked as he dodged to the side after seeing the ape king jump high in the sky towards him, impacting his previous location with a downward swing with both fists.

(Fairly high. Even if he has the iron skin ability, the hairs on its body are susceptible to fire.)

"That's good, if this ape is the king then I should be able to tame it and control all of the apes right?" He asked as he ran towards the ape and dodged an incoming punch while slashing its side with his sword. He expected his sword to go in and through the ape's side but surprising him a bit, his blade only created a small cut on its side.

(We just established it had the iron skin ability! WHY did you try and attack with your SWORD???) Ina shouted in Kameron's mind.

"I was just checking to see if that was what the skill was..." He replied with a sigh as he ducked under another punch from the ape and asked a question while sending a kick into its stomach. "Can we simply talk?" he said as felt his foot impact a well-toned wall. Deciding that fighting close would do nothing for him, Kameron used the wall-like stomach of the ape to propel himself backward a few meters and put some distance between them.

"I don't need to talk to a murderous demon!" The ape said as it jumped towards Kameron and swung its hand at the slippery demon in front of it. Unfortunately for the ape, Kameron's intuition let him react earlier to the ape's attacks. With the difference in stats, due to Kameron hoarding his stat points for over 10 levels, he dodged about half a second before an landed but with him constantly being aware of his surroundings and ability to move, he was able to dodge the ape's attacks for the better part of 20 minutes. Kameron was not a god, he did make mistakes and take a few hits but he wanted to subdue the ape, not kill it, so any counterattacks he made were more for burning parts of the hair on the ape's body.

Jumping back a few meters away from the ape, Kameron panted hard and took off his mask before looking at the ape that was down to one knee trying to regain its energy.

"Damn demon! You are having fun playing games right? You should simply kill me and be done with it!"

"Can you calm down for a moment??? I am not a bad demon! I am helping the humans in the villages outside the forest." Kameron replied with another sigh.

"Pffft... There are no such things as good demons! You came to my home and killed my family!" The ape said as he tried to stand up ignoring the burned areas around its arms and legs.

"Can you wait a second before attacking me again??? Your family attacked me before I was able to talk to them! and haven't you noticed that I haven't been speaking to you in the human language?" He said making the ape stop and look at him with a look of astonishment.

"H-How are you speaking to me then? How do you understand me?" The ape asked.

"I can speak any language, unfortunately, your family didn't want to communicate with me and insisted on attacking me," Kameron said as he thought back to the hundreds of apes that had simply jumped at him and attacked him like he has the aggro of the gods.

"My family are unable to speak until they are rank 2. They simply communicate through actions and gestures. We also do not like demons so they attacked you because of that..."

"Ridiculous... why do I have to be a part of the race that everyone dislikes..." He said in his mind as he put his sword into his inventory, surprising the ape king.

"What sinister scheme do you have planned demon?!"

"My only plan is to talk! And my name is Kameron!" Kameron said as he sat down against the base of a tree.

"Let me tell you a bit about myself..." Kameron said as he began explaining his situation to the ape.

...

"So you came into this forest to lower the population of the 3 strongest animal families? You are also creating a place where any race can live in peace and harmony?" the ape asked while it sat on the ground a good distance away from Kameron.

"That's right. The humans think that the overpopulation of the forest will lead to a beast tide that will destroy their village. I am here to lessen the population but seeing as you want to protect your family even though they attacked me, I will give you an offer."

"What might that be de.. Kameron..." the ape said as it corrected its words.

"Come and help me and the humans. That way the silver ape family will not be a problem for the humans and will be able to gain a new home without suppression of the other 2 families." Kameron said as he proposed his idea to the ape king.

"If the other 2 families have a high rank 2 and rank 3 existence, they will eventually come to try and destroy your family and take the area you have control of," Kameron added as the silver ape began to think about its options.

"If you join me, you and your family will be able to reach higher ranks and live extremely pleasant lives," Kameron said causing the silver ape to stand up and look at him.

"Fine demon... I mean Kameron, If you are tricking me and my family I will kill every one of those humans in that village even if costs me my life to do it. I do not want my family to be wiped out by the other families so I will give you a chance to show me you are different from other demons like you say."
