Rita then took the students to a small battle arena similar to that the vampires were using. It was circular with the school badge in the center and projecting lights on the sides and above.

' We shall first test combat skills only and as time goes on the school will introduce different tests that shall make you no different from than any other species of life. But first I have to remind you no to undermine what you are going to combat. It may be wooden but it is more deadlier than fighting a malf. Do you understand. '

' Yes Ma'am!'the students replied.

Rita's statement seemed strong with emphasis and her tone seemed to be a warning one than a friendly reminder.

The centre of the arena opened and a wooden robot that seemed to follow a specific mechanism came out.It led moved to the other end like it had its own conscience and already knew what to do without instruction. A boy with a name Max on his clothes took the initiative and headed on the stage. He took out a bow and a few and began to charge at the robot fiercely one after another. But what surprised everyone was the fact that the arrows were always hit away by the robot and actually caused no damage. He then began to engage in close combat with the robot but it all seemed like the robot had already seen through every move of his. The students couldn't help but admire the skillful martial arts exhibited by the new fella.'

' Isn't he from the Show off family? I think he should be. No wonder he is so good.' the students began to discuss.

The battle seemed tense but after ten minutes Max seemed worn off and was knocked out. Tum has also performed well but not better than his brother. There were also two girls that showed good combat skills but were not as good as the two brothers. Every student could now tell how far they were from the two in terms of skills. Everyone had first thought it was going to be easy to defeat the robot since it was wooden but upon fighting, one got to know was far beyond expectation and was not to be undermined. Another person had triggered the lips of students causing an up roar. In his arm was a spear and when he began to spar with the robot, the force from his caused the robot to move some steps behind. The robot was a beginner training equipment but it's strength could not be undermined, so how was this person able to do this. Although his combat and agility was slightly below that of Max and Tum, his strength gave him an upper hand. The robot seemed to have underestimated it's opponent and then changed its attacks to a whole new mode. Upton the sudden change, Prosper had been hit hard causing him to fall off the arena. The scene made the other students more worried and werry of the robot on stage. It seemed like they were rats facing a cat.Lastly it was Hedrick's turn to head on stage. He really never got the attention of many but due to his popular of his comic scenes, he was quite well known. No one expected anything big out of this unserious fella after-all all he did most of the time was talk. Only few people looked forward to seeing what tricks had up his sleeve.

Mofasana had watched everything take place but his main focus was on this new kid that that had taken down a whole gang alone.Not just a whole gangs but a whole gangs of second years with high level achievements. What had astonished him was the fella was taking two taking two tests from two different places at the same time without any difficulty or suspicion. To him, this kid was a diamond in sand and was too cunning to understand.

' Come on kid, you are better than this, right? ' He said to the monitor as he picked a handful of popcorn from the bowl he help. He seemed like a spectator watching a beautiful show that was going to last forever.

Hedrick was now on stage but for some time he didn't dare attack but just moved side to side as he looked at the robot. He then moved fast and moved to its behind to make a sneak attack but it seemed like the robot had already seen through his attack. He then unengaged and looked at the robot once again.

' Has an extremely high defensive alertness from any attacks. But how does it sense the change in strength?'

Hedrick had then discovered that the defective of defense changed according to the attack. The students were dazzled about what exactly was happening. Why was the fella just looking at the robot and not fighting.

' I guess he is afraid of losing face in front of all these students. Or maybe he is worried about someone not being around. "the students began making their own guesses on the mysterious fella on stage.

Hedrick this time attacked in slow motion and the robot replied to the attack in slow motion but he as soon as he changed the speed, the robot had also increased its speed and blocked all the attacks. Hedrick now knew the mechanism behind the robot was more complicated than he had anticipated but didn't didn't make him surprised by a bit.

' Nothing is perfect. A wooden machine can never have a 100 percent efficiency hence there must always be a flaw somewhere.'

Hedrick then decided to engage in combat with the robot until he found the flaw in its mechanism. He then pulled out the daggers he had attained earlier and decided to go into a closed combat with the robot. His speed, agility, flexibility and combat skills seemed to surpass everyone present but his strength was lower than that of Prosper.

' Let's see what you gat kid.' Rita mumbled as a faint smile appeared on the right side of her lip below her nose.

The battle seemed tense as the robot itself had been retaliating after awhile.
