Sarah Codache
The blooming circle of scenery was flush with green, yellow, and blue wild waving plants as I roamed around the area, casting white sparkles that glitter to activate the waters. The hole above this high ceiling was the only access to light towards the single plant in the middle of the ground.
I felt more comfortable with this place than those two isolated rooms I've been placed in lately. The fresh air was filling my nose, and the waters that surrounded the walls' mounting waterfalls satisfied my inner needs-which I could not explain the reason. It was that I felt safer.
I was jumping in joy, knowing that I have touched by this kind of nature once again. I missed every natural thing related to nature. My eyes turned blue when I held the lustrous golden flower that bore at this separated plant in the middle. This unique flower blossomed as I gave it more of the water's vapor. The leaves shined, supporting the flower's stunning interaction with me.
Gradually, the rest of the flowers bearing at this plant did the same. The surrounding lit up even more. I felt more satisfied.
When the room became lighter, the door opened. I think that was automatic since the people going inside did not use any force to open it. Wow! It was amazing!
I stood up and faced these eight people with a bright smile. I was looking at them to appreciate what they did to me. I was happy that they transferred me to this place.
Standing right in front of me was my doctor. He looked at me straight into my eyes with emotion that I can't figure out, while the other people behind them were looking at each other, enchanting. I guess they were questioning my positive appearance towards them?
A man stepped towards me with careful attention to his footsteps. He tapped his chin using the pen he was holding while making his other arm crossed over his stomach. I did not know why he did that strange thing, and so I looked at him.
"Hm... This girl looked very normal." He commented with his one eyebrow raised.
"Duh, obviously, Gab." The woman with a stylish hairstyle inserted. Now I get it the man's name was Gab.
Gab rolled his eyes away from that girl before he faced me once again. At this time, he brought out a big smile.
"So...Sarah?" He laughed a bit. He slapped my left shoulder lightly. I was confused by what he did. Huh?
He turned around a bit, then surprisingly hugged me in a second before he made space. "You're so pretty!" He was hopping.
I can hear the whole crowd sighed because of what he did.
His eyes were happy to see me. He held both of my shoulders while saying something that I did not understand. I also did not get what he was doing.
"Sister!-"
"We are here for work." The firm, emotionless voice of my doctor broke in as he separated the two of us with his heavy hands. And Gab was not able to continue what he was about to say.
Gab's face went to its calm and gentle state. "I see."
My doctor blocked my sight to see Gab, so I did not know what he did the next. It seemed like my doctor was talking something serious with Gab.
I tilted my head, trying to hear and understand their conversation, but the girl in stylish hair went near me. She was bringing a silver, circulated container with a crystal cover. My forehead furrowed as I looked closely at it.
What is this?
"We are here to bring you food. We are hoping that you'll like it." She casually said. After that, she let out a small smile on her face.
Did she say food? Omg!
My eyes widened because of what I heard. And because I was eager to eat this time, I immediately grabbed the container. I did not wait for that woman's reaction because I quickly went away from them a little bit and sat down in front of the waterfalls.
When I opened the container, I saw nothing inside of it but a white circle. I was curious about it, so I touched to see what that thing was. From then on, I've realized that it was a button. I accidentally pressed it, and to my surprise, the container slowly transformed into a dish.
My eyes were glad to see those captivating food!
Ugh! It looks delicious!
I grabbed the spoon attached beside the plate and began getting a small portion of the food. When I ate it, it was indeed tasty. But, after a seconds later, I felt a weird thing that kept on circulating inside my stomach.
The food looked tempting; it was savory, but it gave discomfort to me! Why?
I can feel my eyelids became weaker, and my back was not cooperating with my body so that I can stand. I did not understand what I was feeling at this time.
My thoughts mixed, and my mind can no longer function properly. I covered my ears when I heard familiar voices inside my head. I can also see many switching events, but those weren't happening in my life before. But, there was a part in my head that says it happened in my past.
"Catch me Snaedis!"
"Catch me! Come on Snaedis!"
The child's male voice seemed to be familiar. I think I heard this kind of voice before, but I did not know when.
A group of armored men was running to catch me from behind. My breathing was rapid, and the sky turned to darkness. Invisible arrows kept approaching my direction, but none of these hit me.
I managed to escape from the dungeon, and now, I was running towards the towering old castle. Rein was probably thinking that I hid away from the enemies, but I wasn't. He was going to be killed by the god of storm, Wildus.
He knew I was here because he inserted my thoughts.
"Don't save me. Save yourself..." He said. His voice became weaker than before.
I responded as I continued to run in aid of the water vapor. "I can't let you die!"
I immediately blocked my thoughts to avoid him getting into my thoughts. I knew that he will just be going to stop me.
I cast more vapor to form away towards the top of the castle. When I arrived, I washed away the army of Wildus and quickly went near to Rein when I spotted him.
Many subordinate gods of Wildus crossed the way, but I flew them away because I hurled the waters against them using my entire force.
Rein tried to escape from the magical fire rope that slowly burnt him alive, taking his position as a god. The chains splashed into tiny pieces of wood as he stepped nearer to me while keeping his balance.
He was in pain.
Every soldier used their individual powers to end me. Some cast fire without knowing that the goddess of water was the one they were fighting. Some used their ultimate to freeze the waters I threw into them, including me. The rest, it was according to the elements they inherit from the Earth when their mother captivated in the river of life and drank from it.
When the crowd went vacant, and soldiers were fixing themselves to kill me, I immediately ran to escape with Rein. I can feel the soldier hurling the cold, sharp ice to hit my back to freeze me, but luckily, Rein quickly threw his brown branches to grab my waist away from it.
However, he wasn't able to control his force. The unfortunate move made the two of us falling towards the ground. It was understandable since the moment was intense. Rocks were falling with us, with a strong thunderstorm that came from Wildus.
Rein flung his branch to the nearest castle hook, but he wasn't able to hold me. He screamed my name as he saw me falling.
I was crying too loud that made the whole crowd panic. My doctor was the first one to comfort me. He was trying to make me stand, but I couldn't.
"She doesn't like the food!" I heard Gab shouted.
"It wasn't me who prepared those!" The voice of that lady in style responded, trying to convince Gab about what she claimed.
They kept on arguing about the food. There were new voices that I've heard. I believe it came from the rest of the people here.
My doctor aggressively got the plate as he stood up, facing the rest.
"Who made this?!" He scolded them while questioning. His angry voice echoed all over the place.
None of them answered, which made my doctor pissed off.
He threw the plate in front of them. The clinking, sharp sound of that glass object was disturbing in the ears.
"M-me" Finally, a voice responded. That person was hesitating.
I wasn't able to see their reaction because they were at my back, and I did not want to face them.
"Lance? What have you done?" My doctor asked in desperate for answers. He's indeed my doctor. He's too concern for me.
"I-I thought she would like it. I asked our chef to cook that fish for her."
I stilled when I heard the man's response to my doctor. I can't figure out the reason why I had that reaction. The only thing I knew, I felt strange when he mentioned the dish he prepared for me. There was this pain in my heart that I could not explain why.
A while ago, a series of events flashed in my memories. And now, this?
