Chapter 110: THE GRAND ESCAPE: THE PRINCE OF GREED

Elenchos was about to warn Lluming, who he figured could be a spy,

But rather than listen, Lluming kicked his stomach, and intented the young demon to die,

Elenchos kept gagging, but Lluming was blinded by hate,

That he knocked Elenchos out, if he kept kicking him, he'd die that rate.

Mammon heard the commotion and tried his best not to give any satisfying reaction,

Believing that such, would only make the enemy make fun of his emotions.

Despite passing by the passed out body of his son,

He forced himself to smile, despite being extremely angry for what Lluming had done.

He hid his painful expression with a teasing smile,

To pretend, he've sure had done so in a while.

"Just what does a traitor like you, doing in the main floor?

A demon that dared plot against Lucifer, but oh so alone?

You're quite brave, I'd give you that, little devil,

But...you should have known, that you're facing the main Seven.

You may defeat one of us at a lucky day,

But we are too many, fighting you would be just play,

And though I'm alone to teach you a lesson, as I look at your back,

I assure you, once I'm done, all you'd see is black,"

"A cocky monster you are, surely,

But look at what happened to one of the demons that came towards me,"

Mammon lost his composure, and removed his enchanted gloves right away,

"I see, it seems like you want it the hardest way,"

The hard steps coming towards him rang threat in his ears,

A cruel chuckle escaping from his opponent's cold lips.

When Lluming did look behind, he was just lucky to miss Mammon's bare hands,

That swiped quickly towards him, as Mammon felt upset he didn't succeed his first try.

If ever did Lluming get touched by the Prince,

He'd immediately turn to melted gold, as he evaporates to air, in an instant killed.

Mammon was cursed that way to remind himself,

That it would all fade quickly-all material wealth.

But such curse had also been harnessed to his advantage,

On one on one combat, he could be fatal if unguarded.

The proud Prince loved the thrill of fighting hard-headed opponents,

He once killed so many, in his cocky grin it's apparent.

He stopped the demons that were behind them,

Hoping to join the fun as they rip Lluming to shreds,

But Mammon, the greedy devil that he is,

Told them that if they join, they'd more than sure be killed.

The heavy words dropped by the Prince of Greed,

Made the demons back away in fear,

Mammon had barely have interest in anything,

But if he pour his focus on it, you better not blink.

Faster than Satan himself, Mammon wasn't someone to mess,

And Lluming knew this all, that's why despite his calm exterior, he's worried as well.

He may be fast, but he never imagined competing with Mammon,

He stretched his wings wide, as he looked at the hungry demon,

"What are you waiting for?

You little servant of that prideful Lucifer,"

"And you still dare talk back at me?

Hm, the true prideful one, we'd then see,"

He quickly came towards him, as Lluming flew atop,

Pushing Mammon, and quickly kicking his back,

The demon fell hard on the floor, his lips bleeding,

But that only fueled his motivation, to see his opponent dying.

The floor he landed upon melted like acid,

As he felt some part of his clothes burn in the process,

Small shimmer of gold, litter the place,

Which quickly melted, all turned to waste.

Mammon spit some blood, and looked at the enemy,

"It seems you're no ignorant demon, and to take you down, can't come easy,

But I really am curious, of what you were planning?

Who are you? And what do you want to achieve?

Is it worth hearing?"

Lluming ignored the question as he clenched his teeth,

In his mind, he remembered Eleazar who have been experimented with,

If anything, he wanted to kill the one responsible for his unneccessary revival,

To kill Azazel, that messed with Eleazar as if he was a mere experimental animal.

Without Lluming even noticing,

Uriel's glow resonated within him,

The bright blue light quickly escaped from his body,

Forming a barrier, even Lluming himself can't imagine.

Mammon laughed and jabbed at the field,

Punching it however, felt like punching steel.

Lluming felt his vision wander off a bit,

Keeping an archangel's barrier, was exhausting for him.

He imagined how many demons Uriel must have fought,

To make him disappear, they must have been a lot.

Despite the new barrier, Lluming decided to push on further,

When Mammon broke it for the first time, it rebuilded itself in a second later.

The quick repair severed his right hand,

As he felt at shock, of how powerful the barrier was.

Uriel's vessel and spirit may have disappeared,

But his power chose Lluming, to continue the task and win.

Lluming bit his lips, to keep himself awake and standing,

As he held his hands high, keeping the barrier strong and fighting.

The demons behind offered to help Mammon,

But what can you expect of the Prince, who's quite stubborn,

He denied any help, though he was clearly bleeding,

In his mind, he must win, no matter the format of fighting.

He kicked the severed hand, to a safer distance,

Afraid that it'd melt, in one of his opponent's blast,

It was clear from the barrier, that who he's fighting is as strong as an archangel,

How unlucky he is, since that's the only kind he hasn't killed.

He swallowed the pain as he jumped at the barrier,

Making Lluming vomit, as the impact was far greater.

His vision began to fail him slowly,

As he held his hands still, his mind losing reasoning.

He'd open his eyes,

but they'd flicker from time to time,

The power of Uriel, was stronger than his mortal body could get use to quickly,

He kept biting his lips, staying awake will be his only hope to win this fight fairly.

Mammon kept kicking the barrier,

Kept clawing it with his fingers,

In the process his hands bled, but he couldn't care any less.

For his only goal, was to see Lluming dead.

He didn't care if he's hurting badly,

He kept kicking and punching, making Lluming lose balance instantly,

He fell to his knees, but kept his hands up no matter what,

Dying was no option, he must remind himself that.

He had promised himself that all choices he've made to this point,

Should not be useless, so as those who've for him fought.

Many comrades died along the way just to pursue one goal,

To eliminate all evil, and to save humanity's souls.

He stood up, as he watched in horror how Mammon bled a lot,

Mammon seemed tired, and he began to feel hot,

His vision and adrenaline, fading at the same time,

But to him, simply backing down would be a crime.

He coughed blood, and yet kept on punching,

As a young voice, came behind, crying.

Elenchos may be relieved, that Mar succeeded hiding,

But he was in much distraught, seeing his father barely standing.

Mammon, upon seeing the most important being in his life,

Simply continued, denying to lose the fight,

Lluming kept struggling and holding it up,

But his mind was shouting, he simply had enough!

Elenchos, a young heart that often rejects violence,

Ran to his father, as Mammon lost most of his senses,

One hand was missing, and how it worried the young heir,

As Lluming took it as a chance, and jumped to the window, ignoring the pain.

Elenchos felt bitterness for the first time in his life,

He now understood the pain, the horror, the strife.

He thought he was doing the right thing, but he forget to realize,

The angels are as cruel, perhaps they're just villainized.

"All sides, are villains, right, father?"

Elenchos asked, his heart slowly becoming darker.

Mammon could not say anything, but he only hope he could wipe away his flowing tears,

But in the end simply said,

"Elenchos, you are more than all your fears,"

Elenchos never wanted anyone of his loved ones hurt,

But protecting the angels, the humans, is it all worth?

Elenchos, young and gullible, felt confused of what path to take,

But his father who fought that time, his sacrifice he couldn't simply forsake.

He admired angels, he admired them so,

But they were as violent, and cruel, and prideful too.

They claim to be the greatest, to be divine and higher than all,

Whether he's good nor not, if he's a demon, he deserves to fall.

The wounds present on Elenchos' body is the proof that angels are not as godly,

That one his father had just fought, thought no second to beat him this badly.

Elenchos swallowed his pain, and promised to his father,

He'd bring that angel's head, the moment he becomes stronger.

He then stood up and told the demons to help Mammon,

To have his body aided, as quickly as possible,

When he was left behind at the room, he looked at the window,

Where Lluming had fled, leaving not a hint of his shadow.

Elenchos clenched his fists, "So, this is anger?

Ow, poor me, I should have known better.

It doesn't matter what's wrong or right,

What matters is that you're strong enough,

To win the fight.

The winner will make the rules,

The loser will obey the rules,

The superior will rule the losers,

The losers, will be devoid of their wanted future.

The world is that simple, and yet I failed to piece them out?

Well so, now that I know, I'd remind that angel clear and loud,

I, Elenchos, is not just a mere demon to mess around,

Mess with my loved ones, I'd then make sure your body's not found..."

Elenchos' eyes no longer shined as brightly,

As he walked away, his intentions changing quickly.

'Elenchos' means control,

But if he does lose it, be prepared for a bloody brawl.

Elenchos and Mammon look almost alike. But Elenchos have bigger shaped eyes. He often times look the innocent type, but if angered he could be quite a fright!
