"Little one, look. Your brother's duel will start soon. If you want to see your brother fight, it is the right time to look up." Said Edward with a soft voice as he smiled at the little girl. Edward would act like that only in front of Jasmine. Although he loved all his children and did not mind if he dotted on them here and there, he would be strict with them most of the time, especially when it came to their training. Only Jasmine did not have to do anything, and Edward would still dot on her.
Everyone got a little surprised and shocked by the scene. Everyone had heard a lot about how Edward was cruel in the past. They heard how he killed thousands of people without caring about anything in the world. They even heard about how Edward was even strict with his children, the boys, and girls, especially when he trained them. But looking at this scene at the moment made them doubt what they heard. How could such a loving father who dot on his daughter like that be the cruel one everyone talked about previously?
Ned Stark could not help but smile after seeing all this as well. He knew that his friend had suffered a lot in the past few years and only smiled when he was with his youngest daughter, so he wanted to see his friend behave like that more.
The little girl who heard her father's words raised her head who had literally buried her head in her father's lap like an ostrich. Nothing was more exciting than watching her brothers fight while she sat there in her father's lap. She would always enjoy something like that. Although she was not the one who talked much, every one of her brothers and sister knew that she liked it when they fought with other people and won the fight. They would always like to see her smile as the young one was like a fairy when she smiled. And since this was one of the ways to make their little sister laugh and they could see her smile, they would organize a tourney in Storm's Eye every now and then. Although the tourneys were not on that large scale since the group was organizing one every year or two, the tourney still attracted many people and became a landmark in Storm's Eye.
Edward did not tell his sons and his other daughter about what happened to their sister back then. Even Raymont, who Edward trusted much and would be Edward's heir if nothing wrong happened, did not know what happened back then. Edward only told his children that an assassin had kidnapped their sister and did something horrible to her. That was why she turned to be like that and would never talk to the others. Jasmine was not like her brothers and sister, who loved to fight or travel around and make trouble for Edward here and there. She was an adventurous soul like them, but she liked to see them fight and sit beside her father like that.
Although Edward did not tell Raymont about anything regarding the situation that happened at that time and thought that Raymont would not know since Raymont was training in Essos at that time and was only thirteen by then, he had underestimated Raymont's intelligence and his resources. Raymont would be much more intelligent than Edward himself when he matured and had his own children. Till this moment, Edward did know that Raymont had investigated what happened to his beloved sister. After some investigation from his side, Raymont was able to connect some dots and form a general picture of what happened at that time. He had already had his suspicions, especially after some events happened one after another in that period of time. After knowing what happened, he could not help but despise his mother for her foolishness and thought that what his father did was for the best. Although he was aware of what his mother did back then and did not try to change her behavior, he thought it was not a big deal since what she did at that time would not affect them much. That did not mean that he did not despise her, though. Raymont was not like his brothers or sisters. His brothers and sisters were young back then and did not understand their mother's behavior or what she was doing. But how could the young Raymont not know about what she was doing? He even saw her with his own eyes what she did when he was ten, so he did not get or try to get close to her much.
Although Raymont could come up with all that, he did not manage to see the whole situation since Edward had done more than that. If he knew about what Edward was doing at that time, Edward did not know if he would change his mind about his father or support him. Although Raymont was an intelligent young man who schemed against the others like Edward and wished nothing more than have everything in his control, Rymont was still a family man. Edward made sure of that since he did not want his son to be a Kinslayer like him. He did not want Raymont to kill his brothers and sisters when he grew up if Raymont saw them as a danger to himself. Until that moment, no one knew that Edward was the one who killed his brother Renly. Even if his son was smart, he would not manage to deduce something like that without witnessing it.
Anyway, back to the Courtyard where Rob and Axil were about to start their fight, Edward could see that both sides were ready to start, and Raymont was about to say the word and allow them to engage.
"You both, ready?" Asked Raymont as he looked to his left to see Axil, who nodded his head, saying that he was ready. After that, Raymont looked to his right to check on Rob. Although Rob was afraid of Raymont, it was not the time for all that and gave him his nod.
Raymont then nodded to both sides one last time before raising his hand and looking at Edward and Ned to get their permission. Edward wanted to see his daughter's smile and wanted to see his son kick Ned's son's ass, so of course, he would give his signal to start. As for Ned, after seeing his friend's smile, he knew that he could not say anything to stop this fight anymore and gave his approval as well. Plus, he wanted to see how his son, Rob, fared in front of Axil, who everyone sang songs about his bravery.
