I'm Sorry

As Eric looked at Kimberly, different thoughts ran through his mind. He tried to remind himself that she must have been very used to smoking the shisha, and so it would naturally take a while before she would be able to avoid it.

He also tried to assure himself that the only reason she was taking it right now was because she was upset, and she was upset because Amaka, his ex, had tried to fill her head with loads of crap. 

Kimberly looked away from him and dropped the shisha pen on the floor. She couldn't help wondering what was going on inside his head and how he was going to react.

She had picked up a fight with him, ignored him, and shut her door against him, but now she was caught doing something he had told her he didn't like. It was just the first day of their marriage, yet she was messing up already.
