Chapter 43

King Titus, Tristan and Malik made it to the castle just as King Mortons army made it to the gates. Malik and Tristan let King Titus at the entrance of the castle and went to prepare their army for battle. Lord Cletus' army is not as big as King Mortons but, King Titus has half of his army on their way to help and his army is much stronger. Malik went to get his armor while Tristan went and got the soldiers lined up and ready for Malik tt soldier then they were outside on the West side of the castle. He walked over to Tristan and nodded, " Tristan's soldiers!" Half of the soldiers touched each other to get ready. Malik came out and looked at the army with pride, " Protect the castle with your lives!!!". He gave them all a command and they all touched shoulders and got in a fight stance. Malik walked over and touched the first soldier's shoulder, Malik and Tristan touched the soldiers, then they were on the North side of the Castle. When Malik disappeared Tristan's eyes started glowing as electricity started coursing around his body as he turned into his dragon. He looked at his soldiers and let out a loud roar as he took off to the sky and hovered above his soldiers and scouted the area. He spotted Lynia and Aubree on the ground fighting some soldiers and they were doing dam good. He would have felt better if Lynia didn't have to fight, but there is no way she wouldn't fight for her daughters safety. His soldiers started to attack while he stayed on guard monitoring everything. He looked over to the east and saw a Fire Dragon spiraling down on Max, but Max was too fast and dodged it. He looked down and saw that his soldiers were having a hard time with King Mortons army, they had Trolls. Trolls were very hard to defeat but his soldiers were trained well but there were more than ten Trolls on each side of the castle. He frowned as he flew to the forest and landed. He changed back and put his armor on, he doesn't have to be in his dragon form to defeat the Trolls, plus he loves to kill Trolls in this form, it's more fun. His eyes started to glow as he powered himself up. Electricity started to coarse through his entire body, from the tip of his hair to his feet was charged up. He let out a devilish grin as he felt the power he hadn't felt in a long time. In an instant there was a bright light and he was gone to the battle with his sword drawn, chopping all the Trolls legs to slow them down. He circled back around and began decapitating them so fast that King Morton's soldiers didn't know what happened. A witch was watching Tristan at work, King Morton warned him that King Titus has Legendary dragons but this one is quite remarkable he thought. He ran out on the field and caught Tristan as he was cutting the last Troll head off and stood in front of him, " You're quite fast, it was hard to keep up", as he smiled and pulled his sword out.

Dez finally made it to the castle, it seemed like it took him forever to make it here. He is so fucking pissed he can feel all of his power trying to breakthrough, but he was trying to control it. He stopped at the passage and it opened without him touching anything. He stood at the entrance and his eyes began to glow white with a black swirl in them. A black mass of shadows began to form behind him and rushed past him into the tunnel. The shadows moved at a very high speed along the walls and floor of the tunnel searching for Alora and Sorsha. Marina and Suri saw the guards running with the girls after chasing them for a couple of minutes. They were catching up with them when they saw the light to the exit coming up. They looked at each other and picked their speed up, they couldn't let them take the girls out of the castle. They finally caught up to them by a couple of feet when Marinas eyes started glowing, then her whole body was covered with flames. Suri saw this and slowed down a little because she didn't want to get burned. Marina sped up her pace and rushed to the guard that had Alora, no matter what she is the most important to get back at all cost. All of a sudden they felt a gust of wind, it made Marina stop in her tracks. Marina felt this feeling before but this was Suri's first time feeling this feeling and it almost made her shit her pants in fear. She slowed down and stopped running when she reached Marina who was far ahead of her. Sweat started to form on her forehead as she tried to take a step forward, Marina herself was having a hard time pulling herself together, she had never seen Dez this mad before. Suri looked as if she wanted to cry when Marina turned to her, " Don't worry Dez is here, this is him and he's really pissed". Suri could not believe Dez is this powerful, she almost passed out. They watched as the darkness passed them by chasing the guards that had Alora and Sorsha. The guards stopped as a dark figure started to materialize in front of them. They put the girls down, they knew they had to fight to get out of here. The exit was only a few hundred yards, they felt they were strong enough to get out without any trouble. They drew their swords and put their backs to each other so one could see Suri and Marina and the other could see Dez. Marina grabbed suris hand so she could start running they had to catch up and grab the girls. The soldier that was facing Dez dropped his sword in horror when he saw Dez appearance which scared him shitless. His eyes were completely black, there were black veins popping out from around his eyes and spreader down the right side of his body; shadows were swirling around his body at a very fast pace. Very few people in their lifetime have seen a Shadow Dragon in person, let alone one using their gifts. The soldier facing Dez never knew about Shadow Dragons so when he saw Dez he really thought that they somehow died in the tunnel and this was the devil welcoming them to hell. Marina and Suri had just made it to the scene when they stopped a few feet away and stared at Dez in shock and horror. Because of their expressions, the guard that was facing them turned around and saw the horror they saw and instantly started sweating and shaking. Marina snapped out of it rather quickly, she saw Dez in action before but this time is different, it looks like he is possessed by a demon. She turned to Suri who still was in shock and shook her, trying to snap her out of it. She slapped Suri hard enough to snap her out of it, " We have to grab the girls and get them out of here", she whispered. They both kneeled down and grabbed the girls and picked them up. Suri still had a scared look on her face and looked at Marina, " Lets go, he can take care of them". They ran toward the castle so they could get the girls to safety while the guards were distracted with Dez. The guard that was facing Marina and Suri slowly turned around and saw them running with the girls, he realized that was his only way of escaping this demon in front of him. While the other soldier was standing there shaking in his shoes and on the verge of passing out, he turned and ran after Marina and Suri. He thought Dez was distracted by the other guard and he could escape, but he was very wrong. As he was running with his vampire speed for his life, the shadows started to follow him. The shadows followed him and as they came closer to him, they started to form into chains with hooks on them. One of the chains tried to grab his leg but he dodged it and increased his speed. One of the chains advanced quickly to the guard and wrapped around his leg and hooked into his skin. The second chain advanced and hooked onto his left shoulder then the third hook into his right shoulder. He tried his best to withstand the pain and get away until the fourth hooked into his right leg. He stopped moving, the pain was unbearable and he wished that he didn't volunteer for this, he thought it was an easy job. The last chain broke his thought when it hooked into his neck and wrapped around it. His body was suspended in the air by the chains and hooks, blood dripping from them. His body was pulled back in the direction of Dez and the guard he left standing there still in shock. Dez originally wanted both of them alive to torture them for trying to take what is his, but this guard pissed him off even more by trying to run away. Dez let out a threatening growl and the chains ripped the guard into pieces, blood and guts started screaming in horror. Dez sighed and threw a collar made of shadows at him and he instantly shut up and stared straight ahead. "Tell Marina to get her ass back here now!" his shadow backed away and rushed down the corridor looking for Marina. When it stopped at Marina and Suri they were almost at the entrance when they heard whispering around them. They stopped at the entrance and Marina stopped and handed alora to Suri, " Take them to Aloras chamber and wait until someone comes for you" She walked away and then turned to Suri, " Protect them with your life", then she turned back and went to Dez.
