CARVING IT'S OWN ROAD

Light and unhurried footsteps could be heard through the hallway. Every knight bows down to greet this lady, but they were greeted back by getting knocked down all at the same.

One knight who was simply passing by saw this scene. "Princess Lyian?"

The lady smiled at the knight and put her point finger infront of her own lips trying to hush the knight down.

The knight was so confused, but one second later he was also unconscious on the ground like the others.

"Geez, why are there so many knights in this castle. They're all so annoying. There's always an eyes staring and following me wherever I go", the lady complained.

She glanced at the guy who was following him to make him realize that she was also pertaining to him.

"It is our job to protect you, your highness", the royal knight countered.

Princess Lyian sighed and just walked away. She passes through all the other knights who were knocked unconscious by her.

The royal knight followed the princess without asking any questions why she had to put the other knights into sleep or what plan she have inside her head right now.

Nevertheless, the royal knight was kind of worried since this is his first time seeing the princess make a bold action such as this. The princess was known as someone powerful for using the swords but she was a person who doesn't usually interfere with anything, or do anything that would make His Majesty angry. She is seen by many as someone who is neutral and lived her life as quiet as much as possible.

"Stay here" the princess ordered as soon as they arrived in front of the treasure chamber.

The royal knight does not have any reasons to disobey since he is not allowed to go inside the room. The only person who could go inside that room are the royalties and people who were allowed by the king.

An hour have passed but the princess haven't left the treasure chamber through the door yet. The royal knight was getting worried, but he still patiently wait for his master to come out.

On the other side, the princess was already holding three pebbles on her hand. She smiled as she whispers, "I'm just getting you sooner than the original plan. You'll become mine in the next few months anyway"

Princess Lyian searched the whole room, looking for something she could get before she leave the kingdom. It took her a while, but in the end she only took the magical weapon that would be gifted for her 16th birthday in the next few months.

When she left the room, she didn't even bother to glance the royal knight who waited for her. She just immediately put him into sleep, passing through him as if nothing happened.

Princess Lyian didn't prepare anything else, but just brought her short dagger and her sword. That is also the reason why, most of the people who have seen her leave through the gate of the castle didn't have any doubt of her possibly running away.

"Where are you going, your highness?" one servant asked when she saw the princess riding a horse.

She gave a smile and said, "I'm going for a stroll."

This answer of hers was also heard by many, that's why they thought it was just another normal day. They never thought it would also be the day where a princess of the kingdom of Hesperia would run away.

"Such a liar" the horse commented to the princess once they left the capital.

She giggled and answered back, "I didn't lie. I plan to take a stroll around the world"

"Why?"

Princess Lyian looked up at the sky and embraced the breeze of the air slapping through her skin. She could finally smell freedom.

"This time, I wanna carve my own path" she said as she curled up her lips and tears flows through her cheeks.

"You're crying"

"Hmm. I'm just happy. I never got the guts to do this, I didn't know that it's just this simple"

A long silence prevailed between them before she wiped her tears.

"My name as of now is Von and you're name will be Eli. We will be traveling till our feet are sore and make most of our time moving forward. Nothing shall interfere us. This is a new start for both of us"

The horse neighed in agreement. "Let's have tons of fun master"

"Hmm!"
