Chapter 6

(A/N: Before I start this chapter, I want you guys to know that I will be using units from the mod Extended Tomb kings, so if any units may seem unknown to you, I'll post an image of them. All of them are from the lore from what I can see and remember)

When I open my eyes, the first thing I notice is one of my surviving undead staring at me. He nodded and walked away after just a second.

He's quite a rude fellow, but who am I to judge him? Hey [Game] how much time has passed and what did I get from this fight?

Ancient Mummies that served the first Tomb King are heavily armored and specialized against large groups of enemies. It has the ability to extract the souls of its enemies when they kill them.

Cost: 5000 MP, One Low-Class Soul, 2000 corpses

Power: Middle Class – Can grow stronger by eating souls]

Holy shit, did I just hit the jackpot?

[You can say that. The swarm isn't very powerful against beings that can obliterate cities like most high-class beings or stronger, but it can kill most of your weaker enemies or keep them in place for your archers to kill them. The Ancient Tomb Mummy, on the other hand, is terrifying. The more souls they consume when they kill, the stronger they become.]

Wait a minute. I think I just leveled up like 12 times. That means I won't exhaust myself if I summon one mummy to serve as my bodyguard, but first what's the special unit slot? "

[Regiments of Renown are powerful units that were once feared in their world and you may get the chance to have them serve you. Right now, you have only two slots. If you choose to summon one Ancient Tomb Mummy, you will remain with one slot. Though the next time you summon another Mummy, you won't have to worry about the amount of space or slots it will take to summon it as it will be free in that regard. You will only have to pay for the unit itself.]

That's good to know and right now, having a middle class as my bodyguard would surely put me at ease.

After I got my rewards from the fight, I took a look around the village and I was quite impressed with how well my undead defended the place. While it wasn't a flawless victory, we still managed to kill 3000 goblins and got our hands on their artillery.

Of my original group of 550 undead, only 200 survived the fight. Almost half of them were archers, while 20 were Nehekhara warriors.

One hour later, the entire battlefield had been cleared of any dead bodies or weapons that had previously lain on it.

The amount of money gained from this fight was absurd, and I'm sure the people who work at the bank where I deposit my money will freak out the next day.

While it may not appear to be a large sum, 20 million yen was a significant amount of money for me.

After thinking for a bit, I decided to re-summon my undead legion. Now that my limit has been raised to 1100, I've decided to summon 210 Skeleton Archers, 50 Skeleton Horsemen to act as my scouts, 500 Skeleton Warriors, 300 Nehekhara Warriors, and 2 units of Tomb Swarm to serve me as their master and king.

With the legion reformed and strengthened, the next thing that I did was to summon the Ancient Mummy, and boy oh boy, it looked beautiful.

What I didn't expect was that the Mummy was able to communicate with me.

"My lord, I have raised once again to serve you."

"Athar, I want you to lead my legion when needed and protect me most of the time. We will be busy in the coming days and I'm pretty sure that we will have to deal with a snotty brat sometime soon. "

"Your wish is my command, my king. As for that brat that you mentioned, I presume it doesn't come from our home, right? "

"She is a devil and a very powerful one at that. As for her servants or followers, only one of her followers should pose a threat, while the rest are weaker than you. "

What can I say? I'm impressed with how well I fought and I'm also glad that I won that fight. To be fair, the goblin wasn't too smart and I exploited that weakness, ensuring my win.

With my new power, I could have some chances of negotiating in case the devils want to try something and even then, if they try to force me, I will just stay in my dungeon and grind the hell out of it till they won't be able to force me.

Leaving the dungeon, I found myself back in my room. Looking at the fairly old room, I could only sigh. Tomorrow will be a busy day for me as I will look for a bigger place where I could open a coffee shop. I will probably try to find a two-story building with a fairly large basement. I have the funds, so why not spend them to earn more?

All of the fighting had left me exhausted. Fortunately for me, Aika was kind enough to come and pick me up.

While I would prefer to meet her alone, I wouldn't turn down a busty ex-fallen angel.

"Haru, hurry up. We must move or we will be late, and I do not want to be punished by the council president. "

For me at least, the classes passed faster than I would imagine they would do, but this was thanks to my fatigue.

Unfortunately for me, someone decided to irritate me during my fourth break, which happened to be the lunch break. Yuuto Kiba, Yumma's friend and the only guy in the entire school who could make most girls wet themselves with a smile.

He entered the class and stopped in front of my desk. He gently tapped on my shoulder, which woke me up.

Raising my head to look at the annoyance, I saw him giving me his generic smile.

"Yoshida Haru-san, my Buchou wants to speak with you."

It took me a second to register his words before I responded.

"She can fuck herself from what I care. I'm too tired and sleepy, so fuck off and let me sleep in peace. "

The room was filled with silence. No one dared to say anything because they were shocked to see the most handsome guy in the entire school arguing with the most feared guy in the entire school.

Kiba's smile began to flinch, but he persisted in trying his luck. He put his hand on my shoulder and gripped it tightly, which was painful for a normal person.

I grabbed him by the throat and slammed him to the ground the moment he tightened his grip on my shoulder.

"This is your second warning. There won't be a third time. "

I didn't even look back as I walked out of the classroom.

Now, I'm pissed. Fucking devils.

[That wasn't the best choice you could make]

Neither was his choice of trying to force me. If they want a war, they'll get one.

[With just you and your meager army? You may have one Middle –class as your undead, but please keep in mind that the devils currently have stronger fighters than you at this moment]

I know, it's just that I'm having a bad day. [Just don't get killed, host. And prepare yourself. That devil is coming here with another two devils.]

Yuuto, Yumma, and one small girl opened the door and looked at me, just as the [Game] had warned.

I returned their gaze and smiled at Yumma.

"Hello, Yumma."

"Haru-san, please don't make this any harder than it is."

"I'm sorry, Yumma, but someone needs to learn the meaning of respect, and I have no desire to follow you, to meet your master."

Before Yumma could answer me, Yuuto grabbed his sword.

So we will have to fight. Then why should I play fairly against them?

"At least put a barrier so that our schoolmates won't get injured."

Yumma just did that and I've got to say that she's beautiful. That's what counts.

Seeing that my plan worked, I couldn't hide my grin. They saw me smiling and knew that they had fucked up.

As my legion emerged from below, the already dark sky darkened even more. Athar was the first to appear, and his sword burst into blue flames the moment he saw the three devils. Is it a magical attack on his weapon? That's a really nice touch.

"My lord, are they the ones?"

"Yes, just don't kill them and leave the small one to me. It would be too overkill for you to fight her. "

"As you wish, my lord. The soldiers will watch in case they try something. "

Athar vanished from my side and reappeared behind Yuuto without waiting for me to say anything.

By the time they realized what had happened, Athar had pierced the knight's leg. Afterward, he finished the poor knight with a punch.

Yumma and Koneko didn't even have time to react to what had happened, and just as they were about to attack Athar, they felt something reaching them, and thankfully for both of them, I hadn't aimed to kill them, or they would have been dead by now.

Devil pieces may make you stronger, but my [Game] is better. Having all of my stats at 500 made a huge difference in power, whereas the devil's pieces will only raise one or two stats to low-class.

Grabbing Yumma's arm, I tossed her towards Athar while slicing my weapon towards Koneko with the other hand. The poor girl had no idea what had hit her.

The power behind my attack left her unconscious.

As I previously said, they will have a war if that is what they desire, but I am not stupid enough to fight against a piss-off sissy siscon pervert Satan.

As I picked up the small girl in my arms, I looked at Athar, who was waiting near the two unconscious devils.

"This wasn't even a fight master. It was just bullying the weak, which I enjoy, but what are you going to do with them? "

"Nothing really. I just want to blow off some stress. And as I said, they need to learn how to respect. I may be a human, but I'm stronger than them and I could kill them at any given time. "

"If that's all, my lord, we will return back to the realm of the dead."

After my legion returned to their realm, I looked at Yumma and Koneko. One was a complete idiot, while the other believed she was strong enough to defeat me. It's a sad story, but nothing works the way you want it to in this world.

Ten minutes later, I felt the barrier-breaking which meant that their master had arrived.

And just as the barrier disappeared, I saw a ball of magic flying towards me.

Tough luck girl. Yesterday, I found something about my weapon and you won't like it.
