Who killed Mr. Carl?

"She seems very sweet towards you" Jake says.

"Yes, not very easy to find nowadays! " Sam commented.

Soon Mrs Ghosh comes with her bunch of keys. It probably has each key to every other room in the entire building. They take the stairs again and Jake took every step with a' huff 'at the end.

"It's a good way to exercise. You will get used to it. '' Mrs Ghosh says, smiling brightly at Jake.

"Yeah" Jake says with a sheepish smile.

Sam rolled her eyes.

They reached the fourth floor and ended up in the last room on that very floor. Sam's room was just beside he's.

"Here we are. " The landlady says,pushing the door wide open to reveal a spacious room. The kitchen was attached just beside the Hall and could be easily seen as soon as someone came in.

They seemed big enough for one person but just needed to be stuffed with furnitures.It expanded to a balcony which was just separated from the room with a sliding door. It was already filled with small flower pots.The bedroom was on the other side and had a small balcony along with it too.

"I love it. " Those words escaped Jake's mouth before he even realized it.

"I am glad you did. " Mrs Ghosh says.

They discussed the rent and it went well with all the facilities involved in the place.

"We will unpack now. " Jake says.

"Okay then. I willl leave you two now. Ask me if you need anything, okay" She says and was about to leave.

"What was your name again? "

"Jake" Sam and Jake say in unison. Mrs Ghosh left with a grin on her face.

"She's sweet to you too! " Sam comments.

"Yeah" He chuckles.

They reached the office together,early in the morning. Now that they stayed at the same place, Jake didn't have to worry about a cab or bus. Shifting there was not that bad after all.

"You are finally here" Dayal was not expected to be greeting them first. He was always the last one to enter the meeting room.

"I have found something! " Mr. Dayal continues to speak "the driver talked about taking a short cut while going to Mr. Carl's house."

"He finally spoke?" Jake asks with his questioning eyes on Mr dayal.

"No. He requested me not to ask much because he was worried about his family and didn't want to be involved in any of our business. But as I was cross questioning him, he somehow blurted this. " He answers.

Jake rolled his eyes.

"However, I got the footage of that road. You can see this map here.It is the only shortcut from that place to the hospital if we want to save time. "He says,locating the road on the map.

" Jake, is this the road we took that day.This one doesn't look alike. "Sid says.

" No we didn't. It seems to be a little remote.. Very few would know about this road. "

"Yeah.Even my GPS didn't show me this path. "

"Now let us see the CCTV footage. There are four cameras that capture the road at different points, see! "Dayal plugs in the USB to his laptop.

" It seems normal. " Sid says.

The first two shots were normal as it only covered the ambulance making a turn towards the road and driving through it. There was no other car on that road except from the lorry that was just behind it. The third and fourth camera were located on the ends of the tunnel that the ambulance had to pass through.

"There is no camera inside the tunnel? " Sam asks.

"No" Dayal replied.

"It all seems normal. Was he saying the truth? " Mon asks.

"Then who killed Mr. Carl? He will not stab himself with a knife? If he did, where is the knife? At Jake's place?! " Dayal says.

"Oh" She pouted.

"Can you replay from the part before the ambulance entered the tunnel? " Jake asks.

"Here"Dayal slides the laptop closer to him.

" Oh, wait. He used the siren! "Sid says, pointing to ambulances' red siren on the screen.

" And the neighbors said they did not hear any sound "Jake says.

"Something must have happened in between. This tunnel is a whole mystery! "
