Chapter 35

Aiyana parked into her garage when she heard her laugh. She could have picked out that voice in a crowd despite having heard it only once.

It was the woman who was ruining her parents’ marriage, the one she had walked in on naked and moaning as her father fucked her.

The laugh was followed her body entering the driveway along with Aiyana’s mother.

"Well of course, Tracy!" The whore exclaimed.

Peach could have sworn she felt someone's burning gaze as she spoke to Tracy. A barely contained fire just waiting to burn her. She turned around to find that girl, Aiyana looking at her.

The smile peach sported as she spoke to Tracy slid off for just a minute before she composed herself and continued. She was aware that Aiyana knew. She was also aware that what was she was doing was wrong but when a love this epic comes along you don’t say no to it. And Richard and her were in love. Peach was sure of that.

Tracy turned to face Aiyana, extending a hand in a gesture inviting Aiyana to walk to her mother effectively putting her body closer to the whore's she allowed her mother to embrace her.

"This is my daughter, Aiyana."

Then looking at the whore she continued, "this is my friend, peach. She used to work for your father. She was recently accepted at Cambridge so she will be off soon."

Peach extended her hand to greet Aiyana but, Aiyana refused making the excuse that she had a mild cold and did not want to spread it to Peach.

"Cambridge huh.. that's great. You should get out of here as soon as possible. I mean no amount of distance is large enough from my tyrant father!" Aiyana laughed to deceive her mother but Peach had caught the underlying threat.

"I mean my father can ask for such odd work hours you know. I get it, we are the bosses family so might not feel comfortable enough to tell us. And behind all this he is just an honest man who will always put his family first especially if we felt uncomfortable or threatened by uncontrollable things. Daddy's princess always comes first. But I am sure you'll enjoy Cambridge. Lack of a job should be such a bliss."

Tracy found Aiyana’s speech odd but did not comment on it.

"Alright you two, as much as a pleasure your company has been I have to go home. I do leave at the end of next month so I need to start winding up at home and job."

Peach said politely and left.

"What was that?" Tracy asked.

"What mommy?"

"You're behaving oddly."

"You always thing that"

The mother daughter duo walked inside their mansion.

"You're still feeling alright, right? I am so sorry I wasn’t in town when you fell ill."

"I did hate not having your chicken soup but I survived. The next time I won’t be a good girl. That was a onetime thing. I don’t feel better until you take care of me."

Aiyana pouted.

Tracy laughed and said," when will you grow up. Still acting like a child. You're all grown up now, you don’t need mommy to take care of you and kiss your boo-boo"

Aiyana lifted her right elbow to show Tracy the scratch she got today.

"Thank you for reminding me. Kiss my boo-boo, so it heals faster."

They both laughed. As Tracy jokingly reached for the scratch and kissed it.

"Well, I suppose I should take what I get after all I hear there was a man kissing your boo-boo's when you were sick."

A blush instantly settled on Aiyana’s cheeks at mention of Chris.

"I'll introduce you to him. The next time he is over. I have been meaning to do that."

"My my that has not been something you have ever done. Usually I only meet them because I accidentally bumped into them! This boy must be something special."

"Nah.."

"Stop playing it down!"

"I am not mom. I will not have feelings for any boy! Ever!"

Tracy sighed. She knew Aiyana’s feelings towards romance had changed drastically when she saw Tracy and Viktor’s marriage fall apart.

Tracy remembered how Aiyana would always talk about finding the perfect love story like them. A perfect man like a father who whisk her away the way. With whom she would dance to unchained melody as their child watched them. She always wanted that happily ever after.

But, then she their marriage fell apart and it seemed to Tracy that it also broke her trust in love and marriage. She no longer wanted prince charming and a beautiful wedding with a three layered buttercup cake. Although, Tracy was sure Aiyana wanted the wedding only for the cake.

She felt responsible for breaking her own daughter. And she did not know how to make Aiyana believe in love again. How to explain to her that despite everything Tracy had her fairytale. Just somehow, hers did not last. Maybe, Tracy did not get it right. But whatever was the reason, she had to make Aiyana understand the beauty of love. Convince her to open her heart and maybe she could have her happily ever after.

"I would like to meet your man."

"He’s not my man. We're just complicated."

"You kids these days. Things were much easier in my time. If we liked each other we dated. Not hide behind the 'it’s complicated' tag or thought of ourselves too cool to label it. I just don’t understand your generation."

Aiyana laughed.
