Chapter 39 - Agitated Moon fragment

"Clive, This.....this rock looks similar to that moon rock," she whispered with her eyes wide open. this small rock was also very cold and it had the same sheen as the moon fragment she saw in that crater.

Clive gazed at her with his eyes narrowed. "Reya, are you sure?" he said skeptically.

"I am definitely sure," Reya said.

Whils she was thinking about the origin of the stone, Clive administered IV drip for Mina and placed her on comfortable bed. and hooked her up to a heart monitor.

in just minutes her heart rate started slowing down.

"Reya...I'm not sure how to treat this." He said with his eyes wide open.

She ran over to him and whispered, "But....but you said you can treat her. you promise,"

"Yes I did. but her condition....its too different I'm scared that I might hurt her," He said holding his head. he was scared to do anything more. Mina's condition was unlike anything he had seen, he is a researcher not a doctor. he might know how to cure things but not heal it.

"Reya...I'm sorry," he whispered. the situation was completely out of his hand.

Reya just shook her head in disbelief. "No, you can figure something out. I even have the moon fragment. I'll bring it for you," She said and rushed to her room.

tumbling through the dark she found the light switch. she then picket up their bag and emptied it on the floor. there were so many things but she looked throught it throughly. The moon fragment was no where to be found.

"Where is it?" she whispered as she dashed over to Mina's waggon. she pulled the duvet from inside and flipped it. there was the small prism inside but the moon rock was not there.

"Where could it be? where?" she cried pulling her inch length hair.

All this noise woke the entire household. Momma Jade softly padded over to her daughter's room. everything was in shamble. "Reya, Mina, what is going on?" she whispered.

Fanatic looking Reya gazed up at her. she dashed over to her mum and held her shoulders. "Mum, have you seen that...um....moon rock that Mina had,"

"No...ummm..Mina had it with her. she didnt even let me look at it," momma Jade stuttered. she held her panicking daughters shoulders and hugged her close. "Baby what's wrong?" Reya did not answer her.

as Jade watched around she could not find Mina anywhere else. "and where is Mina? Reya what is going on? answer me,"

"No!! No!!" Reya cried and knelt on the floor.

Jade felt her heart stop for a second.her strong daughter had never cried like this before. "Baby, what is wrong? tell mom, please don't cry baby. it breaks my heart," she cried cradling her child close.

"Mum.....Mina is sick again. it's .....'Sniff' worse than before. she might not survive. and it's all because of me," she said as sobs racked through her body.

Momma jade panicked as well but soon calmed down. "Reya it's not your fault baby. it is not," she patted her growing hair. "where is she? her tablets....let's giver her some tablets. she will definitely get better." she stuttered.

"She's.... with Clive. he told he can't help," she cried burrowing into her mum's bosom.

Just then Clive ran to their doorway and shouted. "Reya... she.... something is happening,"

Reya swiftly wiped her tears and sighed over to his study. her sister Mina was glowing faintly and her veins were pulsing softly. the heart monitor attached to her was showing green figures.

"her heart rate is recovering. and this," he showed her the small stones. it was levitating in the test tube. it looked as if it was being attracted to something.

"watch this," Clive said moving closer to Mina. the moon fragments became quite agitated as it got closer.

"Reya, look at these reports. the glow is concentrated in the spots of her cancerous cells. I think..... this rock is trying to heal her. maybe it's better for us to leave it in her for now," he said hesitantly.

Reya refused it firmly. her powers was also hurting so she does not know the extent of Mina's powers.

But her mum held her shoulder sand hugged her. "please do what's neccessary," she said.
