Proposal

Lisa's POV

Benedict hugged me for a long time, and he didn't even utter a single word after I told him the truth about my illness, and he was crying like a child.

"Hey, please, stop crying, Ben," I said.

"Baby, I am so sorry; I never knew." He replied, and he was speaking in between his sobs, and I gently caressed his face.

"It is okay," I replied.

"How foolish I am to propose to Tanya while you were miserable and so alone, and you were suffering. You ran away because you protected me, but you didn't know you only make my life miserable, Lisa." He responded.

"You are not going to die, Lis; we will find the best doctor in the country, don't lose your hope, Lisa; if needed, we will go abroad." He added.

"Ben, there is nothing you can do about my illness; if I go treatment, it will still be the same. I will die eventually, and to prolong my life for one month or two would only be the same, and it would be only a waste of money." I declared.
