Disarray

It was the third typhoon of this season; heavy pours of heavenly liquids ushered through the gloomy yet golden city; the blood curdling howls of the begotten winds; and the shade of neon lights being translucent across the city; it was a brewery of slick and wicked; the unforgiving and decrepit; cruelty and irony; hypocrisy and flamboyant.

In the middle of this city lies the House of Commune; it is a mixture of Gothic, Edo, and Modern architecture yet it lacks the quality of all three designs; it's a soulless facade just like the government who runs the country.

The House of Commune governs both the state and country, it houses both the lower (Shido) house and upper (Muriyaki) house. Legislations were drafted, ratified, and passed in this house; some of them are mediocre at best but some are just downright stubborn. Many of the Johts collectively agreed that this house is like any other series that are commonly found from those snobby influencer houses that one can find in TV and online.

Bombastic Millionaires running a country while quarreling like children; probably kindergarteners are more behaved than they are; a significant sight for the democracy it once shines.

Kanto and Johto, despite being close neighbors, share relative culture but differ in its policy and bureaucracy. Kanto is what many consider as the Golden Bull of the Continent amongst the four - Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh - while Johto is the forgotten middle-kid of the family. Hiding in the shadows of its successful brother, introverted yet nasty to its own desires.

"Ordahhh! ORDAAAAAH!" A man shouted.

It was the middle of the PMQs, with the recent ousting of the former Prime Minister, the Betsu (Conservative Party) elected a new one. The Betsus are the ruling party, nearling having half of the seats, but this popularity is a diminishing one.

With one disaster to another, they plunged the country into a recession. Unemployment is on the rise, inflation, and the rising strikes from the Workers and the Public Services. They've been electing new PMs on a monthly basis nowadays, one of the most common joke against them is that "Vegetables lasted longer than this." The recent one lasted two weeks but this time, this new one, they hope that this cycle of new PMs will draw its close. However, there is one problem, he isn't popular with the MPs.

"Mr. Speaker, this is why me and my cabinets are working day and night. The Johts need us, we need to get out of this economic recession, ceil the Ben, and subsidize!" The Newly elected Prime Minister argues. Instead of applause, all he got was a quarrel of Boos.

Amongst the chaos, the leader of the opposition rose and argued against the PM. HIs name is Poro Berty, leader of the "Hibuki" party or what many call the Labor party. His party rose to popularity and the astounding votes from the election a year ago.

"Mr. Speaker, it is clear to us all that Betsus has failed to address many of the issues that this country has. Driving the country in-debt, blocking important trade deals from both Kanto and Kalos, trillions worth of investment from Unova and Galar that could've alleviated our issues but no! They decided that it was better to play Golf!" Berty pointed to the PM. Many of the MPs agreed and hurra'd from his speech but it wasn't enough, they demanded more deadly blows to the failing government.

"Also, they also created the largest scandal in Johto History. The Pokemon league embezzling Public Funds, Oil Tycoons being governors, many deaths and assassinations towards journalists. It is clear that this government wants tyranny not development!" He continued.

"We must call for a General Election!" WIth the last blow, the PM was speechless as the MPs chanted for a General Election. Calling it quits as the final nail for the Betsu coffin was finally hammered by the likes of Poro Berty.

"Mr. Speaker. We, the Betsu Party, love this country and we want to flourish and protect like it was our son. Yet the Honorable Gentleman wants to drag Johto to this Neo Cold War between Kalos and Galar by doing what Kanto did. He wants to bring instability, fear, and war to our country. The Johts are isolationists, we do not interfere nor join international issues, it is not our job to do so." The PM stood.

There were many factors that brought this PMQ into question but one cannot ignore the fact that this was Kanto's own doing and the world has to shoulder the burden.

Many continued to boo the PM but the speaker decided to finally stand up and hushed the bustling crowd of witty politicians.

"Order! Order! With the status quo, It is decided to call for a vote. CLEAR THE LOBBY!" He shouted. The doors beside him opened as the race to vote was on.

The Flooded room of parliament slowly rushed to these holes, it was time to vote. They were given 45 minutes to vote and if they couldn't vote in time, their vote was abstained. With 800 people quivered to the doors as they cast their vote and once the time was over, the doors were closed.

For 15 minutes, the votes were counted and to the dismay of the PM and the Betsus government, the vote for a General Election had won.

In order to keep the dignity and honor of the party, the Prime Minister and the rest of the Betsus stood up and left the room. Both the opposition and the rest of the MPs celebrated as if their enemy was finally gone; it was like a happy ending is inevitable in the future but there is one problem…

During the short celebration, Berty was confronted by the minority leaders and offered an interesting resolution.

"Mr. Poro, you did very well in tonight's PMQ. You've made the PM cry, so to say." One of the leaders mocked the PM. Berty giggled upon hearing such a compliment.

"Well, you know the Betsus, they're like Quilfishes; acting all tough but the weakest of links." He scoffed. The others laughed with his joke.

"Indeed. Anyways, since we've successfully called for a General Election; We are offering a form of coalition, just like we did 4 years ago." The oldest amongst the leaders suggested.

"We need all the help we can get; if we want to counter the Betsus, a coalition is a must." Berty stated.

"I suppose we can procreate a meeting between parties so we can settle the matter, shall we?"

"Alright, you know my emails." Berty nodded.

As soon as he left the building, he was escorted to his car. Upon feeling the unforgiving rain of the deadly night, his mind was busy elsewhere; planning to find an upper hand against the Betsus was as difficult as finding a Dratini in a Safari Park. He knows how powerful the Betsus are and his but he wasn't sure if it's enough.

As he entered his car, he noticed his son was watching one of those replays of Pokemon Battles. Unlike Kanto, Johto embraced all things about Pokemon training except for battle mechanics such as Mega Evolution, Dynamaxing, and the likes. There were more trainers here in Johto than that of Kanto.

He took a small glimpse on the screen and noticed a familiar fella was shown, it was Yoake Katsuragi and his partner, Claudine the Gardevoir. Seeing the opportunity, he deviated a plan that will sketch him closer to winning the majority vote for the upcoming General Election.
