Real Life

The boys had just dropped Emma and Maddy off at their apartment, but not without giving them each a kiss. Emma and Maddy waved their goodbyes to the boys and headed upstairs. As soon as the girls got upstairs, they both squealed and jumped up and down like they were twelve again. Maddy was the first to calm down.

"We should probably stop. I just remembered we still have neighbors."

"Yeah, ASSHOLE neighbors," Emma said, rolling her eyes.

"Okay, fair." Maddy laughed.

"Now if you don't mind, I'm going to pour myself a celebratory glass of champagne." Emma grinned. "For what? Finally having the balls to go on a date with the man of your dreams after six months?" Maddy teased, making Emma roll her eyes yet again. "Do you want some or not?" She asked.

"I always want alcohol, the hell do you think?" Maddy joked, "but first, I'm gonna change."

"Y'know if you sweat in a sweater, you become the sweater." Emma shouted once Maddy reached her room.

"That's so fucking stupid, but it actually makes sense."

"Hey, I'm just here to educate." Emma responded.

uh-huh, sure

Maddy was changing into her favorite pink polka-dotted pajama pants when she heard a buzz come from her nightstand. She looked over and saw that her phone was lit up. It was a text from David.

Dave🥰:

prepubescent shakira:

Dave🥰:

Sleep tight princess

Maddy smiled to herself and set her phone back down. One thing David didn't know, was that Maddy was FAR from going to sleep. She was just getting ready to drink a whole bottle of wine, with a little champagne. She marched back into the kitchen and puffed out her chest.

"And what took YOU so long?" Emma asked.

"Oh, nothing," Maddy said dismissively,"pass me a bottle of wine please." Emma raised her brows but eventually gave in and passed the bottle over. "What're we toasting to?" Emma asked.

"A toast to putting an end to our dry spells." Maddy announced. Emma laughed and clinked her glass with Maddy's.

"CHEERS!" They both shouted.

The rest of the night was a blur, between the inaudible music blasting in both of the girls' ears, to the thudding that Maddy's head was experiencing everything was out of control.....but not like, in a BAD bad way.

*The Next Morning*

Maddy woke up to the sound of someone groaning in pain. It took her a minute to gather some strength to sit up. But she got up a little too fast and found that the room was spinning.

This is a hangover alright

It took another five minutes for Maddy to fully get out of bed, and standing on her feet was just as bad as sitting up, the familiar feeling of lightheaded ness was coming back to her as well as the signature migraine.

Every noise she heard sounded like two pots being slammed together, and Emma's complaining wasn't helping one bit.

Didn't miss this AT ALL

"EMMA SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Maddy regretted yelling as soon as the words came out of her mouth.

"YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU DID THIS TO ME!" Emma shouted back.

"YOU WERE THE ONE WHO WANTED TO GET WASTED!" Maddy screamed, holding her hands on both side of her head.

"Whatever....." Emma grumbled, slamming her door closed.

"Yeah...." Maddy dismissively said, starting to make her way into the kitchen.

Her brain was on autopilot which was fine since she wasn't in the mood to think anyway.

She grabbed two Advils and looked down at them in the palm of her hand.

Another two won't hurt

She said to herself.

Next thing you know she passed out on the couch in a very concerning position; her legs twisted together and her arms dangling off either sides of the couch.
