Teleportation Portal

Three days have passed and the boys, Edwin, Arvid, and Ivar, were busy fixing the mansion floor.

Since the incident that had happened, they have been doing work for the mansion with just the three of them. Gladios wanted to help, however, they were worried about him so they told him to just take it easy and do other tasks such as ordering and sorting out.

They only agreed to work amongst themselves, since they didn't want to risk their identities to the humans. Work can actually be done faster even with just the three of them because they have something that mortals don't.

Magic.

"How could you destroy the mansion floor," Arvid complained and Edwin squinted his eyes at his son.

They were already carrying the first set of expensive tiles ordered for them to start with their work.

As Arvid put one box down, his father looked at him as he shook his head.

"Before you complain, I would like you to contemplate on this one. You are too weak to even break a brick wall in one punch."

The moment Arvid heard this from his father, he scoffed, feeling slightly pained from his remark.

"Oh, yeah!? I'll show you I can destroy three layers of brick wall later," he said, overconfident of himself and his father let out a loud chuckle.

"Sure, son. Sure," he said sarcastically as his son squinted his eyes at him. "You still have a long way to go," he added and Arvid just rolled his eyes at him then ignored him.

'I'll show you what I can do, dad!'

As Ivar was carrying the tiles to Arvid and Edwin using his levitation spell, Gwen gave them a glass of water each.

"After 30 minutes, you guys go to the kitchen. Mother has prepared us some snacks," she instructed them then she walked off, leaving the boys behind.

Arvid wiped the sweat off of his forehead with a towel.

"Is Gladios and Angeal going to get here soon," he asked and Ivar checked his phone and noticed that he had received a message from Angeal saying that they have bought the necessary materials for the mansion and that they are on their way home.

"Yup. They'll be here in 10 minutes, more or less. Let's greet them and the delivery truck," Ivar answered and the three of them walked their way towards the main gate.

The moment they reached the main gate which is a bit far from the mansion, Ivar looked at the young immortal beside him.

"Now watch closely, Arvid. This is what we do when humans visit our place."

He started chanting a spell and three white circles with different signs and symbols appeared. Once he was done chanting, the outside appearance of the house became a normal two-storey house, compared to the large mansion.

Arvid's eyes widened in surprise, not aware that he could do that. Well, who could blame him for being ignorant about these things when he focused much on his training and he hadn't even seen their realm?

"Woah! We can do that," he asked, amusement plastered in his voice and Edwin nodded.

"Yes. For 18 years since they've disappeared, we didn't need to do this since no humans were needed to visit the mansion. This is the first time again that we did this in 18 years," his father said and Arvid looked at him.

"What happens in the inside?"

Ivar chuckled, finding Arvid's amusement cute, like he was dealing with an ignorant little child.

"Have you watched Harry Potter," he asked and the young immortal nodded. "Well, it's just like their small tent, but when they go inside, it's still big," he added and Edwin chimed in, adding more information.

"This outer appearance is just for humans not to get too interested on the mansion. Remember, we got a lot of thieves before," Edwin said and now Arvid understood why.

Just then, the delivery truck arrived and Gladios and Angeal went down and were dumbfounded to have not seen their big mansion, but a normal house instead.

Gladios and Angeal were hesitant to go to the house. They wondered what had happened since they were sure they were in the same route going home. They couldn't possibly be lost!

But when they saw the three familiar faces in front of the gate, they went to approach them, feeling surprised.

"What happened to the mansion," the old man asked and Edwin whispered to him.

"It's an outer disguise to not attract thieves," he answered and now it became clear to Gladios and Angeal.

'Magic is indeed amazing,' the human girl thought to herself then the delivery guy approached them then spoke.

"Where are we going to put down your orders, sir," he asked and Gladios looked at him and answered.

"Just put them down here in front of the gate and we'll handle it from here," he answered and the driver and the delivery guy seemed surprised.

"Are you sure? These are a lot. You may need our assistance," the driver remarked and Ivar politely declined.

"You don't have to worry. We can do this. You still have more errands to do," he said and the delivery guy and the driver looked at each other, finding what he said weird since most of the time when they do deliveries, their clients mostly needed help.

"Err... okay. If you say so, sir," the delivery guy just said as he scratched the back of his head then the both of them went away.

When Edwin made sure that they were out of their area, he came back and gave the others a thumbs up.

"All clear. Let's do this," he said then Edwin started chanting a spell and a circle appeared in front of him, showing the inside of the mansion.

"Woah! Is this like a teleportation portal," Arvid commented and Gladios chuckled.

"Your son speaks more of like a human than we do, Edwin," the old man commented and Edwin rolled his eyes when he heard his son's remark.

"Just get to work, son. I'll teach you all of these in one of our training sessions," he said and all of the boys, except old man Gladios, carried the materials into the portal.
