EPISODE 24: First!*

Reaching Room-HQ, I am greeted by the silhouettes of the four executives. Their portraits inside the tall pillar mirrors just gives the room a majestic sensation. How I could not wait but to hear the location of the first piece. Of course, as an agent, it is my duty to obtain it not for the sake of the goal only, but in order for Professor Olive's work not to go down to the garbage bin.

She has been working day and night for Team Rocket, without sleeping at times. She is a hard-working professor whom I pitied from the start, and I want to return the favor by making her researches and hypotheses succeed. Upon entering, I am greeted warmly by the four of them while the professor rests beside the door, leaning her head on it.

"Luna Evergreen, you've probably heard the news. The first piece has been located." With a high exuberant spirit, Archer starts the conversation.

"I did, executive. I am willing to obtain it." I utter with confidence.

"Of course, you are one devoted agent. I know we could all count on you. The first piece is located in the Sevii Islands-"

"Primarily in the Fourth Island." Ariana finishes Petrel's words.

"The Sevii Islands are an archipelago in the Kanto Region consisting of nine large islands and several small islands surrounding them. They are located to the far south of the Kanto Mainland, and are home to several rare and never before seen Pokemon." Olive states, showing me a map of the archipelago through holographic imaging.

Astounded I was, for I have not heard of such place before in my entire life. I am only familiar with the Orange Islands in the east of the Kanto Mainland. One attention-grabbing factor of this archipelago is the number of islands. It exceeds the number of the Orange Islands whereas it only has four while Sevii has nine.

"You will be sent to the fourth island through a helicopter since a boat has no capability to do so. The water currents surrounding the archipelago are too ferocious, not even a modern ship could withstand it. Upon arriving at the fourth island, you will proceed to a cave known as Icefall.

From there, you must find the piece wherein according to Professor Olive, it somewhat has the shape of a deformed rectangle. Once you've acquired it, return back to headquarters... safely.

Do not let anyone interrupt you, do what you must for the glory of Team Rocket." Archer explains furthermore as the professor zooms in the fourth island through holographic imaging.

Looks like it's battle against coldness once more. How I remember the incident back in the Seafoam Islands. Icefall is no different, except for the fact it's a cave rather than an island.

"About the Rebirth Society? What if they interrupt me?" I question, suddenly remembering them.

"About that, I've gathered data but they are not enough. According to my research, the Rebirth Society roams the sky of Johto through advanced airships. The leader and their crew are still unknown to me nor to the whole of Team Rocket. For now, let us focus on the piece but if they do interrupt, I suggest you escape right away.

I've heard they're a group of skilled trainers, hoping to claim Ho-Oh and Lugia as well." Olive replies.

"So... Luna? Your mission, should you choose to accept?" Ariana of the executives query.

"Of course! I vow to return with the piece on my grasp. No one will stop me, not even the society. For the glory of Team Rocket!" I beam with high determination.

"And by the way, if you succeed in this mission, we, the executives will be willing to pay you." Before the moment I left the room with the professor, Petrel interrupts, bringing a burst of ecstasy.

"Really?! You mean... as in I'll be having my salary?!" I question without a doubt.

"Yes. As an elite operative, you will be earning money depending on your success in missions and operations. Although, if failure persists, then we might not have any choice but to demote you to a normal agent." Proton informs.

"That is most unlikely to happen since we the executives have high respect towards you. Your current success astounds us, keep doing that and perhaps you will be one of us." Ariana counters, doubting Proton's statement.

This is truly good news to my ears. I'll be earning without the need for education to apply for a job. Hearing those words, my confidence to achieve the first piece has been boosted for I do not want to let their words turn into vain. The journey to Icefall cave begins today and the challenges ahead are awaiting me. Team Rocket, blast off to the speed of light, surrender now or prepare to fight! No society will stop me, but I do hope they won't appear out of nowhere.
