Deep in the ground, a half-blood child was carving something on the wall when she noticed something red oozing slowly down from the ceiling of the cave. Curiously, she let her pale little fingers touch the thick red liquid. It felt cold against her touch. When she tried to smell it, she winced. "Blood…ugh! Eww.." There were adult demons around her when she said those words. Out of their curiosity, they also approached the wall that was 'bleeding'. 

As they confirmed it was blood, they sent word to the Black Gem Palace. Something must have gone wrong in the surface. Lucien stared at the holes above them. There were invisible shields protecting those circles giving them a path into the surface.
