12. Just tiny bit black-bellied

It took them almost a whole day to arrive at the nearest coastal town. Looking at the excited expression on Wenling's face Shu Ya just shook her head.

In her eyes, this 'town' could be considered a village in the future, but considering that this is passed, she just gave up. Town, not a town, it's not like she cares. As long she could arrive comfortably to Bai estate she will be fine.

The things were, she didn't ask. Neither time period, place, name of current Emperor, or anything else. Why should she care? To change history? Not willing. The history should be just that. She didn't care about any involvements.

Weiling carefully helped her get down from the carriage and held her hand as there was suddenly a bunch of people on the harbour. Every Pier in the harbour was overfilled with people. Like crazy train or bus station.

This is the first time since she started this new life that she became completely astonished. ''So many people.''

Weiling nodded and held her hand tighter while servants and guards behind them brought the few packages with clothes, gifts and books.

Shu Ya had the two urns in Wellings bag and money was sewn inside her clothes so it was safe. Each of them had small moneybags that were meant for them to buy food or snacks.

Lord Ka paid the whole trip in advance and sent two guards and four servants with them. He actually planned to send more but even this many was already to conspicuous.

''Miss, we need to go completely left, said, waft master. The ship is almost ready to leave.'' One of the guards rushed after looking for information.

Shu Ya held Weiling's hand while they all rushed together towards the ship. But after seeing it Shu Ya almost started to cry. This ship was so full of people that most of them were sitting perched together on every corner they could sit. ''Will it be able to sail with so many people?''

Weiling held her tightly as they waited for the people on the boat to check their papers. Suddenly a huge man came from the boat and loudly yelled. ''Who is miss Bai?!''

Weiling rose her hand as she was taller than Shu Ya. ''Here.''

The big man saw a bunch of people and furrowed his eyebrows. ''Only two more people can come with. We don't have enough space.''

The guard became angry. ''We paid rooms for everyone in advance. Or should we stay here and send a message to our Lord? How can you be so irresponsible?''

The big man went silent for a moment and thought about it. ''Then some of you sleep on the floor.''

Guard shook his head. ''In that case, you should give us our money back. We paid full price with beds, proper food and separated from other guests. I do not care if you promised rooms to someone else. We paid in advance.''

''So stubborn!'' Grumbled the big man.

Suddenly a man patted his shoulder and two people stood behind him. ''Let us speak...''

Shu Ya could see the two youths with beautiful faces looking at Weiling with big smiles and bowed. ''Miss Bai. We need to go to the north. If you can sell us on the room we would be more than grateful.''

Weiling was completely cold as she stared at them and then pointe at the girl next to her. ''Nobles, you got it wrong. I am a servant. This here is miss Bai.''

They looked at the girl next to them that had an icy expression. ''Miss Bai...''

She rose swiftly hand to stop them. ''My people need to travel all the way to the north with me. I will send two of them back home and sell their beds to you. But under three conditions.'' she rose her hand and showed three small fingers.

The young men nodded as they didn't take her seriously. ''Fist will be that you have to sleep in the same room with my two servants. Guards room is not for sale. Willing?''

the looked at each other and shrugged. ''We can do that.''

She smirked lightly and then rose two fingers. ''The second condition is to help my servants get my stuff out when we arrive on the north.''

The wrinkled their eyebrows but one of them had an idea and smiled. ''What if we pay others to help you.''

''I do not care. As long someone helps them until the estate is it you or you pay someone it's your choice.'' She shrugged after saying that. Making them sigh relief.

''then the third?'' The young man looked at her now a bit nervous.

''Do you think we will sell your beds cheaply?'' She rose her eyebrow.

The two young men understood her words. ''Then the price?''

''Ten times we paid, plus two times to the big man as he could be considered middleman.'' She looked straight into his eyes and he chuckled.

The two young men were completely baffled at her words. ''Dozen times the bigger price per bed?''

She just shrugged. ''Take it or find someone else. I am going to my room now. Tiered from all this mess.''

They were about to leave when they stopped her. ''Fine! We accept it!''

She just waved her hand to guard and winked at him. ''Tell two servants to go back home. Pay good carriage to drive them.'' Then she looked ta the two servants and gave each one silver bit. ''Thank you so far. Tell Lord Ka that we left safely. I will write as soon we arrive and will try to send messages as I promised whenever I can.''

The gratefully bowed in front fo her and rushed behind one of the guards while the other came with bag filled with silver. ''Miss.''

''Did that big man got his money well?'' She gave the big bag to Weiling and she hid it in her clothes.

''Oh miss, don't worry. He took it as soon as I came nearby.'' Guard chuckled as he thought about a huge hand in front of youths' faces as he demanded his money.
