The only reason she dropped out is due to what's happening in the underworld. With Aki not being around, she had to shoulder the burden of being the leader of the Holy Knights, the leading group in the underworld. Sumire sighs deeply. The sooner things return to normal the better. She never realized how much having Aki occupy the leader position removed the burden from her. 

"I had things to do, besides I'm entering this year aren't I?"

"You are, but you don't seem to be too focused on gaining points."

Sumire shrugged as she stood up and extended her hand out towards the stage. "There isn't any need. I'll enter a big tournament and get it all in one sweep. Besides, there shouldn't be any shortcuts to my dream. If I'm aiming for the top, I should do it while challenging myself."

Anya sweat fell. "That almost makes it sound like all the other tournaments are for show."
