Points; it is the most important thing in this Emerald Event which could be used to get many things. One such example is the qualification to join the Emerald Elven Battle Competition. 

Aside from qualifying for the Emerald Elven Battle Competition, one could also use points to trade items from the other participants of the Emerald Event. 

Basically, points have a similar function as money, the only difference is between the two is that points have a far greater value compared to money. Though no one really knows the exact value of points because of the different demands of each participant. But one thing is for certain, that is if they trade it to those participants below the top 100, they would be able to get twice or so than the value of what the top 100 participants would offer.
