Autumn’s adventure ch 3: Taylor Hebert
"Okay this is weird… it's like seeing dozens of
Different things at once." The girl says
"Um, you should be fine I healed you? Maybe I shook you around to much carrying you here?" Autumn says
"Wait! It's night! Dads gonna be upset!" The girl shouts
"Do you got his phone number?" Autumn asks
"I could probably call the house phone." The girl says
"Alright, here call him tell him you are fine. And not dead." Autumn says handing
The girl takes the phone dialing a number.
"Dad? It's Taylor… yes I know. I'm sorry I can explain soon. Could I bring a friend actually?" Taylor asks
"It's a story that I'm not even sure of." Taylor says
"My name's autumn… and let me see if I can get a hat." Autumn says telling taylor her name.
Taylor just watched in fascination as the cat girls entire arm goes into her back pack and is digging around without any sort of change on the exterior of the bag.
Autumn pulls out a paper boy hat.
"This should hide the ears with no issue." Autumn says putting it on.
"I just realized your a cape!" Taylor says
"And you are too. Whatever a cape is. It means you got powers right?" Autumn asks
"Yes and how would you know?" Taylor says
"Because, human eyes shouldn't be able to see me. Meaning you've done something else." Autumn says
Knowing she's not taken off her active stealth since she pulled the girl out of the locker.
"You know a few of the bugs in this room have started moving weirdly." Autumn says
Taylor stills.
"Sorry, I got my subtlety from my mother… I guess knowing another capes powers are not a good thing?" Autumn asks
Taylor nods.
"Even though your taking me home like I'm a stray kitten?" Autumn asks
"Did you really just make a cat pun?" Taylor asks
"It was purrfect was it not?" Autumn asks
"It really wasn't almost like a cat-astrophe" Taylor says
Autumn laughs.
"So… am I gonna carry you again? Cause we need to cross the water." Autumn says
Taylor stills a little.
"S-sure." Taylor says
"So who's bullying you? I'm sure we can get evidence of them doing something illegal." Autumn says
"Uhh are you sure?" Taylor says awkwardly
"Yep, It's only Logic that would be good at that." Autumn says
"There are three of them. I've also got a list of all the stuff they've done to me. Though Emma's dad is a lawyer." Taylor says
"Oh? I could represent you. Though I'm not sure how different your laws are from my homeland." Autumn says
"Sophia Hess, Emma Barnes, and Madison Clements…" Taylor says
"Okay, I'll work on getting that evidence. Just say you don't remember what happened okay?" Autumn says

In a suburban area that's not quite middle class but not slums either.
"You live here?" Autumn asks
"Yeah it's my dad's house Daniel Hebert hes head hiring spokesperson of the dockworkers union." Taylor says
"… that's a mouthful." Autumn says
The paperboy cap ruffling a little.
Taylor knocks on the door before entering.
"Dad? I'm home!" Taylor says
It doesn't take to long for the tall girl to get pulled into a hug.
"Hello mister Hebert. My name is Autumn I found Taylor being dumped into the river while she was unconscious by a couple of her classmates." Autumn says lying smoothly.
Mister Hebert looks at Taylor.
"I'm gonna Call the police." Daniel says
"I've got video evidence." Autumn says
"Dad I'm gonna show Autumn the guest room." Taylor says
Taylor grabs autumn's hand and leads her away.
"That never happened. What do you mean you've got video evidence?" Taylor asks
Autumn pulls out the scroll and opens a video that Logic doctored and made up.
"Huh, apparently Sophia is shadow stalker what do you know?" Autumn says
"The ward? Wait what is this!" Taylor shouts.

"Why is her body so heavy? She's so skinny." Sophia says
"We killed her!" Madison says distraught.
"We didn't know she would die from that locker." Emma says
"Both of you are gonna shut up and never talk about this again! Or I'll get both of you and your families!" Sophia says with an inhuman snarl.
"I can get you at anytime anywhere." Sophia says merging with a shadow.
The three dump the girl in the water and walk away.
A few seconds after they are gone Autumn comes out her cat ears fully visible and fishes the unconscious Taylor out of the water.
"Um mister hobo that's pretending to be asleep. I'll give you 3000$ for your phone that recorded that." Autumn says looking at the camera.
"3000? With that amount I could get out of Brockton Bay… sure." A gruff voice says from behind the camera.

"I think that ought to do it." Autumn says
"… that was way to realistic." Taylor says
"Your welcome. They just admitted to attempted manslaughter. And the person who recorded it left town. Leaving me as the only witness and with video footage as proof. This likely won't even make it to a full trial. They are looking at plea deals at best and prison at worst." Autumn says
Sure if they matched the technology of Niwaki they might be able see it's fake but that's not happening.
