Siding with the Enemies

Elizabeth Woodville, The Queen Of England:

It was now day, we were having a little celebration. Because Edward has been released from Warwick Castle. Not only that, George will not be King. This is amazing news that causes for a celebration.

We had been in panic for many days, worried of what might have happened to Edward. But here he is safe and sound, and very happy. We were having a drink with the family, only my family and Edward were present. And Richard of course, I believe we would not have won without him, we are grateful to know we have a Loyal Brother in this Royal Family. Everyone else will backstab for power, but only to fail, and become our enemies.

"Welcome home, King Edward", everyone said in unison. Edward the started telling us of what had happened at Warwick Castle, or may I say that Hell Hole.

"They lost their nerve! George said he would behead me, but of course he would not dare! Not even Warwick has the stomach for that." My mother laughed, and we all smiled. Why they were to think they could take Edward off the throne, I do not know. But their failure only brings humor to others, including us!

"He thought I was still that little boy that he could control. He tried to make me give you up, but I told him that I would happily stay in his house forever. But never would I give up my wife nor who I am." Edward finished saying, and Richard started talking. "They are fools to think it."

"So he just released you?" Mother asked Edward, "Parliament wouldn't declare for George and make him King, so if Edward wouldn't't abdícate and they didn't kill him." Antony finally explained everything to those who were left in the dark.

"Warwick let me out for exercise, so he could save his pride. But really, he just let me go." Warwick always thinks he will be left untouched for doing things like this. Just because he is the King's cousin, absolutely not. He is not allowed to put families through his with his bad doings, while him and his family are at home nice and cozy.

I'll make them wish they had never crossed me, I'll make sure they die the worst death possible. Killed by maybe even his own blood. Who should I put, Richard or Edward. Either way, George will only have to receive the same faith. If he doesn't get himself executed first. I mean Richard was always my favorite brother, the kinder one.

Writer:

George and Warwick do suffer horrible deaths, they will be way later in the story. But it is the curse Elizabeth put on George and Warwick that caused everything they did to go downfall.

It also brought pain to the country, and to Edward and Elizabeth. After this betrayal, it will only get worse, so get ready. The House of York is in for a treat.

Elizabeth Woodville, The Queen Of England:

I voiced my thoughts, "And now he will be sorry." I paused to ask, "You know about my brother John, and father? So they will pay for it."

"You won't like it, but they won't. We must have peace Elizabeth. And I was a fool not to see that I had shut Lord Warwick out. But he knows that he has lost, and he will beg for my forgiveness, as will George."

So Edward is telling me he is willing to forget that my father and brother were killed at Warwick's hands. And why, because he wants peace with them. Who would want peace with people who want to kill him, for no reason and out of Jealousy, or for their own dealings.

I laughed, "You must not give it!" It was like the whole world was against me, including my own husband. The one that was suppose to stand by my side, but he chooses my enemies over me?

"I will. They are my brother and my cousin, and this country cannot stand another war. Especially one within this family. And I will make Warwick's nephew Duke of Bedford." I was shocked, I looked over at my mother. Edward is giving my fathers title to Warwick. He is giving him more power, and more esteem to that stupid ego of his! Do not tell me I am overreacting.

That title should have been my fathers legacy. But if Edward wants to play favorites, let him play favorites, he will soon realize Warwick and George do not stand with him, but against him.
