Enemies of the Kingdom

Anne Neville:

If Father had just been loyal to the King from the very beginning, none of this would be happening. We will end up Enemies of the Kingdom.

"Now where is the Queen, because if you have hurt a single hair up on her head." King Edward had barely finished, when Father decided he wanted to start a war with King Edward. "She would have likely sent the Devil upon me. But she is barricaded in the tower."

"Now THAT, dear cousin, is treason!" The tension in the room was so thick you could cut it with a knife. I wasn't even in the room to begin with.

A long silence lingered.

"As is this. But if I must hold court at Warwick Castle then you may bring me Venson. And some small ale so I may eat at your expense as I run my Kingdom! Is that clear to you?"

Just then the animal started barking. Issy immediately reacted, and started telling it to be quiet.

Writer:

Edward continued to act as if he were not kidnapped, but as if he were being treated to dinner. He was a King, so he shall act like one. "Yes and bring me brother George as I have words to say to him." Edward didn't even bother looking up at Warwick.

From then on he was to treat them like commoners, he knew with him. They would indeed be commoners.

Anne Neville:

As the dog started running of our little hiding place, Issy and I ran after it. But once we realised King Edward was still in the room, we slowed down.

But he soon turned his head around, and spotted Issy and I. "Ah! Brother George's new wife, Isabel married without my consent."

Father started telling Mother to get us out of the room. "Would you get them out of there!" Father whispered. To cover the embarrassment me and Issy held our heads down.

"I hope your not expecting loyalty from him" King Edward continued to shame Issy with his words, angered by our betrayal.

"Would you get them out of there!" Father finally shouted. "Go!Go!" But before I was able to get out of the room I saw the smile on King Edward's face.

We all exited the room, including father. When we were all in the room, mother shut the door, and father asked her a question. "She's not bled yet?"

"No, she's with child." Issy stared at my mother and father puzzled. "A wedding night child shows we have god's blessing. Is it a boy?" I stared at Father with an unknown emotion, something I've never felt before.

I have been exposed to the cruel world, and I have changed. "How would I know Father?!" We continued to listen Intently to what Father is saying.

"I have called a parliament at York. Where we will proclaim George the King and Isabel his Queen"

Issy was very shocked with the news. Issy had always told me how she didn't like being in the spotlight. "But Father! I Can-" Isabel immediately protested against the idea.

"Be Quiet, Isabel! We may as well get it over with! He knows full well what we are doing." Mother soon started to talk Isabel into it. "You cannot turn back now, You must stay your course come hell or Glory."

"But Parliament will never agree!" I don't see why Issy, must be Queen. She hates it, so why must she do it. "They Must! The Rivers woman is so hated. She has pushed aside your father, and every other noble advisor England ever had."

"And in their place put scum. You will not Question me, Now Get Out!" Me and Issy showed our respect, and walked ourselves out of the room.
