Chapter 24:

Weekend of the Party:

Ace had already notified all his house staff and Veronica that he had a party to go to, and would probably be back late. Veronica said to have fun and to not drink too much alcohol, the house staff told him they would ensure to prepare some remedies for a hangover. Ace had no intention of drinking, just as he had no intention of doing drugs, but at the end of the day, it was a party hosted in the penthouse of a 5-star hotel by rich brats, the probabilities of there, not being alcohol or drugs were near to zero.

Ace had worn a simple, linen, button-down white shirt, and some faded black jeans with some faded black sneakers. They were the more 'party casual' clothes he had on his wardrobe, and Veronica had told him they looked good on him so he just put them on. Veronica had also warned him that he looked at least a few years older than he truly was, and that with his handsome face, he should expect more than a few girls to come on to him. Ace had no interest in having sex yet, maybe after he had fully adapted to his situation, most people in his place would be excited, but Ace was worried. The result of turning down the heiress of a business Empire could be bad, so he left a message with Samantha, explaining the situation he could be put in, and asking for help if needed, and with that, he left.

He went to the hotel in a taxi, unlike most of the people that would come to the party, he was not of driving age, and even if he could easily get away with it, he had no interest in being put in that situation. He went into the building, and drew stares from most of the residents in the lounge, he asked for a temporary passkey for the elevator but was informed that a staff member would be waiting for him and that he had no need to worry. He, therefore, made his way into the elevator, slightly nervous at the idea of his first party, he wanted to have some fun, but he promised himself that if things got too hectic, he would leave.

Even from the elevator, he could hear the sound of music, and he wondered how much they had paid for this place, fifty thousand at the very least. He assumed that most of the budget came from the student's pockets, the fame that would come from throwing good parties was probably worth it in a school where pretty much all students did for fun was that.

As he made his way, he was assaulted by the steam and lights, that combined with the loud EDM music, created an ambience that was more than a little intoxicating. He spotted the DJ in a small lifted stage, in front of a large dancefloor, where most people were just dancing, some people in more appropriate ways than others, and as he spotted people going into various rooms, not before turning the 'In Use' sign at the door, Ace knew this was not a party a boy his age should be attending. At the right, there appeared what was a large bar and a barista that was serving drinks non-stop. Ace laughed at that, how much must they be paying him for serving drinks to minors. Of course, Ace knew nothing would happen, if the barista got into any trouble, the reputation of the Committee would drop, and people would not want to serve drinks anymore, however, if the only story that came out of it was that he had been paid a ridiculous sum of money… They would have no problem hiring future workers.

As soon as he came in, one of the girls that had first invited him came his way with a boy in her arm.

"Wow, you look… Well, I suppose you will be getting more than a few invitations to dance. I am happy that you made it, the people in your year group are already here, but the boys are probably gone already, probably tempted by any of the girls here looking for a younger guy. However, different to them, you look like you actually belong here like you are the appropriate age." Someone shouted what Ace assumed was her name, and she turned back," Well, I hope you have fun, and make sure you leave a review before you leave!" She said this while walking towards the sound of her name.

Ace went to the bar and asked for a coke, most people would probably think he added ram to it or something, so he would not be called out for drinking, Ace did not care if he was, but it would be easier to blend in for that aspect. He went towards his year mates, it was no surprise that the people that were there were Amy and Sophia, Ace assumed that Chad and Trace were the boys mentioned by the girl from before. Amy was wearing a blue dress, and Sophia was wearing a white ensemble of shorts and a T-Shirt that came off at the elbow. They both looked good, but they still had some young charm, and Ace would not be surprised if the guests had been warned that they were off-limits.

"Hey! How are you girls doing! You both look really good", Ace had to shout to get them to listen through the music, but once he got closer, he could use a more tamer voice. The girls were looking him up and down, and as they released what they were doing, they both ended up with a blush on their cheeks. Ace laughed and Amy said "Wow, my sister was not lying, you look...hmm, older for your age", Sophia just nodded at this, but soon came out of her stupor, "Of course you are here, they obviously had to invite the Rank 1 guy in our year." She grinned at that.

"Rank 1?", Ace asked, already smiling.

"Come on, we are Ranks 2 and 3 and you are the only person, the two gorillas are only there because of their families and the fact that they think they are good at fighting. Plus, after that stunt, you pulled with the tests…. Hey, I meant to ask, did you get them from your grandmother?"

Ace quirked his eyebrow at this and Amy seemed to have misunderstood, "Hey, hey, I have nothing against that, all is fair in love and war, but I was just curious."

"Nah, I did not cheat, they were just easy.", Ace shrugged

"Easy my ass!"Sophia shouted, "I don't think I got over eighty per cent, and Amy is the same if you truly did finish them in that timeframe…"

"100% in all tests with all bonus questions done as well."

"What?!" Amy shouted out, "The school's curriculum teaches way above what other school's do if you are already getting 100% that means…", Amy widened her eyes at the realisation, and Ace nodded at the unsaid question.

"Holy shit." Sophia gasped, "You already learnt the high school curriculum."

"Ok, that is just unfair, I mean, you are way too good looking, you are smart, and your grandmother is who she is?", Sophia said," You lucky son of a…", she stopped when she saw the fire in Ace's eyes."Ooops, sorry about that."

Amy just sighed loudly and said, "Wait so what is next, you are good at music or something?"

Ace grinned cheekily and said, "Just wait and see."

Today's chapter guys, I wanted to add this in order to extend on his relationship with his schoolmates. I will probably finish this party thing in the next chapter by making it a bit longer.

The streaming chapters will come soon (once the game 'comes out' in accordance with the storyline).

I also gave a bit of a sneak peek to some existing trauma Ace already has, and I will probably expand on that throughout the novel, it will probably become part of his character development.

I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter and are having a good day
